In the official New Moon cast announcement, Gianna–the human secretary of the Volturi–was missing from the list. Does this mean that she won’t be appearing in the movie, or is it an oversight? The Twilight Examiner questions this–
Wachsberger, beauty in such films as First Daughter and Sorority Row was long-rumored to be selected for the role, and Summit Entertainment’s press release for New Moon was expected to serve as the final word on its casting. However, the role of Gianna, the Volturi (human) secretary who sits at the desk of the very den of Volterra’s Italian vampire leaders in the Twilight series appears in the book New Moon, and her role in the grand scheme of the Volturi way of things is rather confusing to Bella (played by Kristen Stewart) and un-surprising to Edward (played by Robert Pattinson).
What do you think? Can we do without Gianna in the movie, or is more news forthcoming?

Lainey Gossip serves up a tantalizing new smorgasbord of New Moon gossip, focusing on two shoots that went down this week in the Vancouver area–a scene in the forest, and some scenes at the new Cullen house. Check it:
Monday this week, as I’ve already mentioned, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson were all on set by dawn. Very, very early starts to shoot on the edge of the woods. There’s a tense discussion between the three of them, then Taylor/Jacob leaves and wolf-transforms, then between KS and RP it gets kinda romantic as there’s talk of a wedding. Or something. They are shooting several options for a proposal, this is one of them – you’ll have to wait to see which they end up choosing.
Wednesday night and Thursday night it’s been evening shoots at the Cullen House, working until almost daybreak for all vampires and Kristen Stewart. More of the same tonight (Friday).
Check out more pictures of Rachelle and more info on the shoot over at Lainey Gossip.

24 Hours Vancouver offers another perspective on the Meadow/Forest shoot we mentioned earlier–
Cast and crew of Twilight: New Moon were assembled in front of a giant special-effects screen built on a custom stage in the middle of the park.
In the previous post, commenter SocialRomance suggested that perhaps–
So it’s probably for when she loses him, and when she has her dreams. She says that she dreams a lot, about running through forests, and finding nothing, and being alone
This dream-running would certainly make sense given the giant special effects screen. But who knows? Speculate away!

Wow! Check out this amazing New Moon poster of Laurent made by Elle ♪♫. We previously saw Elle’s amazing take on Bella as well. I love the saturated, moody HDR-style colors of this one.

How far would you go to get a chance at a glimpse of New Moon? For 26-year-old LeAnne Autry of Nashville, TN, the answer is simple: 2,582 miles. After her loving husband won a free pair of plane tickets, he suggested that she and her sister head to Vancouver to feed her second love–Twilight.
LeAnne Autry and her sister Sara Bennett will land in Vancouver Friday and begin stalking the lanes of Yaletown is search of their favourite movie star, Robert Pattinson known to fans as RPattz, who plays the romantic lead Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies.
Devoted fans, even the kind that travel at great expense for a chance to see an actor, should not be confused with the dangerous, pathological stalkers who try to involve themselves in the lives of famous people, Baxter cautioned.
Fans know better, they just want to be part of something fun and exciting. And if it’s a little bit sexy – and here I am thinking of Rob Pattinson – that’s so much the better.
Check out the rest of the story over at the Vancouver Sun.
