Robert Pattinson recorded a special greeting for fans of Twilight in Norway that attended the Twilight DVD release parties today. He recorded the message on the set of New Moon at what looks to be the same time as the Borders greeting that the cast recorded back in March.
[thanks, Elise from Norway!]

Ok folks, here’s your Robert Pattinson for the day. The New Moon star returned to Vancouver from LA, and made the trek out to a local bar for some fun with Ashley Greene and Rachelle LeFevre last night.
Also, be on the lookout for this!–
And in more “New Moon” news, according to E!, Summit is about to release photos of Taylor which are said to similar to the shot of the shirtless wolf pack that delighted fans last week.
UPDATE: VanCityAllie has posted a story about the experience her friend that took this picture had over at her blog!–
- Friend: It’s my birthday, I just had to come talk to you!
- <Rob shakes her hand>
- Friend: How do you like Vancouver?
- Rob: Yeah it’s pretty nice!
- Friend: It’s a lovely city. I just moved here myself.
- Rob: Oh? Where from?
- Friend: Saskatchewan… ever heard of it?
- Rob: Yeah I’ve heard of it… I think I was just there a couple days ago. (We think he thought Squamish)

Edi Gathegi and Kellan Lutz were at the Twilight Prom in Australia last weekend, and they found the time show off some moves on the dancefloor while they were there, and now we have the video proof from Tayla. What fun!

Melissa Rosenberg, who has written the scripts for Twilight and New Moon, has chatted to E! about some of her thoughts on the next three movies in the Twilight Saga. On New Moon, she confirms some of the changes we’ve been hearing director Chris Weitz talk about as far as Edward Cullen’s enhanced presence in the film–
“In the book, he’s actually an enormous presence in [Bella’s] mind,” Rosenberg said. “He’s so present in her mind throughout the entire center of the book, so we really played off that, and it kept him alive in a slightly different way, but fans will feel it’s true to the book. You can’t have a Twilight without Rob Pattinson.”
As for the violence in Breaking Dawn, Rosenberg seems to confirm that she will be working on a script, and will keep some of the fairly adult scenes toned down to earn a PG-13 rating:
And Rosenberg says you also can’t have a Twilight movie with anything more adult than a PG-13 rating. She has yet to be hired to write the script for the fourth, Breaking Dawn, but she thinks it’s safe to assume the book’s more graphic violent scenes will be tailored to keep it accessible for Twilight’s teen moviegoing audience.
“Our fans are in the PG age range, and I don’t feel a big necessity to see violence, and to see gore,” Rosenberg said. “I don’t need to see that. This whole series is more about their relationship. It’s not about the gore. I mean, there are some scary and special elements to it, but the series is really about relationships and coming of age and owning one’s power.”

There’s already a huge range of people that love Twilight, including a very wide range of ages. Some readers at the Deadbolt think that more mature casting for the Volturi for some of the roles will allow a more diverse audience to enjoy New Moon without feeling any guilt for showing up and being a fan–
“I know, I may be a little older than the average Twilighter, but I am a true fan. I feel that we ‘Twilight Saga Moms’ should have a little older representation in the movies. Yes, we all fantasize about all the young Cullens and this can be a little disturbing (to our daughters as well as the actors). Wouldn’t it be great if we could act our age and go for something a little more … mature? The Volturi are the perfect outlet for this. Aro, Marcus and Caius should be older as should their wives. If the vampires are ‘frozen’ in time when they are transformed, who is to say that they ALL are changed before their 20th birthday? Casting a more mature Volturi will give us a legitimate excuse to show up at public events and not pretend we are there for our daughters, nieces, or our neighbor’s granddaughter… Please?!”
In direct response, another reader writes …
“I absolutely agree! I hope the casting agents realize that there is large audience (over 30+) that are big Twilight fans. We do need a little older re[pr]esentation!”

New Moon star Robert Pattinson took a much-need break away from filming the movie in Vancouver this weekend and headed down to LA. Lainey has the Punkd pics of him leaving the airport–
Robert Pattinson slipped away from Vancouver this weekend for a quick break to LA. Returned back on Sunday night to continue working on New Moon. A few bedroom dream sequences are happening early this week. Then an interesting shoot later on. More details in the coming days. As for his time in Los Angeles – he stayed relatively uncover, perhaps popping in to see a friend or two.
There’s also pics of Nikki Reed and Sage on a dog walk. Check out the rest of the pics at Lainey Gossip.
UPDATE: That’s Brooke Shields that was also on the plane with him!
[Thanks, Juaan and Lisa/LMCullen!]
