i like the movie cullen house even tho its not the same as the book but it looks amazing anyway!! Also it would be stupid to change the house for the next 3 movies i mean hello you cant just completely change their house!! ????

Seriously? It's just a house. I don't care about the small things. Just as long as they have a home. It's not all that easy to go out and find a place that is exactly described as what the book says. And Twilight didn't have enough money to build a model home.

Besides, it's the MOVIE not the BOOK.

Get over it. I liked the house in Twilight. It had the windows and that's pretty much the more important part of the house probably.

i think that they should keep the look of the house simular to the look as it is in the movie instead of the white house in the book. it wouldnt look right for them to do a complete 180. anyways, in the movie you could only see the outside from one angle so, if they shoot this new house from a differnet angle you probably wont notice a huge difference. Also, if you think about it we really couldn't see much detail of the inside of the house other than edward's room so i don't think they will have a problem blending the interior of the two houses together.

They definately need to change the house. Sure it will suck because we all are used to the one in Twilight, but it won't work for Eclipse or Breaking Dawn. Edwards room is supposed to be bigger and it was so cramped. They cannot fit a huge bed in his room, so they're going to have to fix it up. Also isn't the staircase supposed to be spiraled in the house because they talked about it when Bella was walking down them for her wedding. There is no way they can fit all the guests into that house and it doesn't match up the image from the BD wedding. I don't care much if they change it because I know what it looks like and if nonreaders dont then they should pick up the book.

The house issue doesn't really bother me. It was hard to find a house in the first place with the budget they had in Twilight. So they can't change it too much with NM. I think they probably had to change the house because the inside is probably larger or something like that. I doubt CW will make such a big change that would ruin BD.

And I wish they had used a house as described in Twilight, but we have to be realistic it was never going to happen.

Uhh...It's probably going to be kept a secret. Why would they post the whereabouts? Fans would be crawling all over the place . It's already hard for them to shoot the movie enough as it is. They need at least one really secluded area.

One main reason they went to Vancouver was to be in a more secluded area and away from any distractions [fans]. But that isn't working out to well. They kept the whereabouts of the Cullen house they used for Twilight a secret. Not very many people knew where it was.

Haha I know exactly where it is. They finished up filming tonight (well yesterday now) anyways so there wouldnt be anything to see there. I'm not surprised they picked the place they did for filming because it definitely has houses that have greater architecture and could match up to what the book describes it as better than the first house back in Oregon.

I do agree that they should have stuck to the description of the house to the letter in the book. But they didn't.
Now that Twilight is out, we have already seen the house, they should not change the house too drastically.
At least the first Director Catherine H. tried to do that, this Director he really isn't being as true to the book, I hope everything works out well. It would be great if he reads some of our comments or has someone.

I am glad they're changing the house. Hopefully they've found one that more fits the description of the Cullen home in the books (meadow, flowing stream/river nearby). About the only thing I liked and felt was right in the movie was the "window wall" in Edward's bedroom. The rest of it was just not right.

Noticable? Perhaps and likely. But consider this... In the Harry Potter movies Hagrid's hut drastically changed locations between the second and third movies. I don't think many took much notice because it was a good change. More in line with the picture the books create. For us fans of the Twilight books the more the "sets" resemble the pictures we've created in our heads the happier and more content we'll be.

They did got all the house wrong i think it was really nice in twilight i would love to live in a house like that but in the book the house was different and they should follow the book because later on things can get complicated like in BD if they do the movie and i was really dissapointed they didnt kept it as in the book for example wasnt edwards piano in the living room in the twilight movie it was in this big empty room and its important to have it as in the book for the second movie like in her b day her cake was in a table next to edwards grand piano im i right????? and she gets push when shes was going to get attack to the floor really close to his piano i think next to it i dont remeber but correct me if im wrong UHHHH i need to read NM againg LOL

but i cant help but worry if they completely change it because it will be like one day they lived there then the next they magically live somewhere else :/

YES YES YES WOW I totally agree! I was like wha????? this is not how the book describes the Cullen house! I wouldn't mind if they changed the house in New Moon...even if it was totally different. It'll confuse the people who haven't read the books but it'll probably please the fans who did & I believe most of the people who went to see TWilight over & over again were the fans of the books. Ya, they probably had to make the house appeal to the general audience but it would've been cool to see this old fashioned huge white mansion and then WHAM you go inside & it's like the house in the movie. It would've been a huge surprise to people who didn't read the books & it would've pleased the fans. Anyways, enough of my rambling....bring on the pics of the new house!!!

This does not look like the same house that is in Twilight The Movie.
The Director of Twilight is a trained architect and had to do digital editing and re-landscaping.
And add another story on to the original house in Twilight because in Breaking Dawn She wanted the house to look alot bigger especially after reading about the "Wedding Scene" It is missing a story!!
She mentions all this in he Directors Notebook.

its ment to look like an old fashiponed mansion at the front and have a glass wall at the back!

Hello, has anyone read Catherine Hardwickes Director's Notebook. In the book it shows that the architect weent out of his way to read all the books and make show to that the Cullen House has 3 Stories just like it mentions in Breaking Dawn. It shows how the house looks in Twilight why couldn't they stick with the same house. There are some similarities. But Chris Weitz is not thinking about the long haul.

The house is like a character in and of itself in Eclipse and BD. It plays a major role and needs to be closer to what the book describes. I liked the other house, it was very lovely . . . but it just wasn't the Cullen house. And they need to get Edward's room right . . . down to the bed linens. I'm sure Chris has chosen something great . . .

I might be the only one here but I really loved the house from the movie. Love this style. I wish I had such a beautiful house lol. Everyone I saw the movie with gasped and were all 'wow what a house!' when they first saw it. So I guess it made a big impression on the general audience, so they can't change it and have another one which would fit better the one from the book. I don't care the one is the movie is not like the one from the book since it did work for me. And anyway I don't really mind the one from the book, that's one of the very few things I thought were better in the movie than in the book. But I agree Edward's room will have to get bigger. No bed, kingsize or not, will fit in that one!

I agree. Both on loving the house in the movie more than the book and on the meaning of 'new cullen house'. It most probably mean a new set resembling the old one. There are things that can't be changed from twilight to new moon, no matter if they don't fit the book. Because that's how they were introduced and how they're remembered by all the people who went and saw the movie. Minor changes are fine, drastic ones can't be. But for rooms or places that we didn't see yet in twilight, they'll be able to do whatever they want, stick to the description of the books or not...

I hope it looks more like the house described in the books than the modern one in the first movie =) of course, it looks great, but i think another one would fit better ^^

i agree that the house was totally different but if they change it in New Moon people will be confused, plus they had to change certain things to make it more modern i.e bellas cell phone, the laptop, her ipod, and by the pictures of new moon, a digital camera.

I'll be thrilled if they change the house from the first movie! The house is such a prominent part of the saga, especially in Breaking Dawn and the house in the movie totally did not fit. It was a cool house but not "the Cullen house". Some of the changes Chris Weitz is making are changes that I look FORWARD to. But of course, that's probably because I was one of the ones that was intensely disappointed in the movie.

Exactly. The house isn't anything like described in the book, except for the inside... It needs to be WHITE! And you could never have a wedding at the house from the movie! I hope for CW's sake that he changes it. Sure it will make some people unhappy, and possibly confused (if they didn't read the book), but It will be a good in the long run, especially into the third and (hopefully)fourth movie.

The inside isn't even as described in the book. The staircase is all wrong and there is no way a huge King size four poster bed would fit in Edward's room. The house is supposed to be over 100 years old and classic. Not modern and boxey. What about the huge lawn out front? This is one set that they got all wrong.

Maybe he was in LA and maybe not (I wish he can call me and tell me he's in LA, we can do dinner Rob! My treat!) but I don't blame him for not going to the 100 Monkeys concert, can you just imagine the distraction it would have cost, it wouldn't be fair to Jackon or his band mates. It was 100 Monkeys night not Robs, at least not that night :)

i know!!! i was actually really disappointed with the cullen house in twilight......usually a big change from twilight in new moon would bother me but i would be perfectly fine if they changed the cullens house to look more like what it was described to be. i cannnnot wait to see what it looks like!!
