200904181436.jpg Wondering where Robert Pattinson is? He’s been spotted at the big Coachella weekend music festival in Indio, CA–

Anne Hathaway was spotted in the VIP area wearing patterned harem pants and a cardigan, while Morrissey’s set drew the attention of “Twilight” actor Robert Pattinson, wearing skinny cut-off jeans, and Kirsten Dunst in a short-sleeve mini-dress. Kate Bosworth, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Chloe Sevigny and Zoe Kravitz were also spotted in the VIP area.

I’m jealous….Band of Horses, TV on the Radio, Fleet Foxes, Girl Talk, and Twilight soundtrack alum Perry Farrell–what a lineup!

The Joy Divisionesque White Lies is also playing–anyone think they’d make a good fit for the New Moon soundtrack? Check out their video.

UPDATE: As JBell from LettersToRob points out, this seems to contradict the photo evidence we have from The Cullen House shot. Maybe Robert Pattinson really is magic and can transport at will? Maybe the Boston Herald is full of lies?

    hmm...maybe Summit provided Rob with a private jet to fly him straight to Indio/Palm Springs after filming? just wondering...it is possible to catch the Morrisey set if there were no connecting flights to catch or long drive on the very busy interstate from LA/Riverside to Indio. He is their golden boy right now after all!!

    Ok, am i alone here or does anyone else remember that once a person is turned into a vampire, that thier hair, nails and everything else never changes? Anyone else remember the "interview with a Vampire movie? The little girl vamp cut all her hair off and within a few minutes it all grew back??

    I'd go cross country to see that line up. Its pretty impressive (minus Sir Paul who is a bit old for my taste). I doubt you have to stand around too much in the VIP area.

    Ok....I said MONTHS ago that White Lies would be great for the New Moon soundtrack. I love 'To Lose My Life', and thought that would be great even if it was a credit song. I mean...come on....the opening lyrics "He said to lose my life or lose my love, that's the nightmare I've been running from" and the chorus "Let's grow old together, and die at the same time" Love it!

    As for the Rob sighting, did anyone else have a hard time picturing Rob in cut-off skinny jeans???? Really? I mean let's just put aside the fact that he was in Vancouver during the show, cut-off skinny jeans?? Must....wipe.....mental......picture.....from.......head.

    This smells like bullsh*t.

    Why would someone who was filming all night, and seen leaving the set super early in the morning, hop on a plane for a 3-4 hour long flight, then go stand in the desert all day at a music festival. I don't believe he was there AT ALL.

    btw...what happens once they stop filming new moon? What is going to be on the website...in the gap between. I am going to be so lost without it! I guess it will only be eight weeks until the start filming Eclipse...and in the break i am sure trailers + clips + posters will be realesed...but then once Eclipse is filmed what will they do???

    And also...when eclipse starts being filmed, will you change the name of the website? Or keep it the same??? thanks to anyone who answers!

    Oh, the things people make up for news headlines. You need photo evidence, dear. A poster saying that he was there isn't going to cut it for me.

    I don't know about you guys, but I would much rather SEE Rob in those cut off skinny jeans, rather than imagine it myself.

    I know, same here. I love indie music, and from what Stephanie Meyer writes on her site, so does Bella. They need to give Bobby Long a call and ask him to do a song.     is even better. I'll probably be really upset if they uset he standard, "I'm not happy, I hate the world, my girlfriend left me" Emo music. They need music with real feeling, they need something to capture the emotions of the movie. It's times like these I wonder why they wouldn't make a fan made collaboration with Stephanie to pick the music, then it would be perfect.

    I think I've been "camping" on his my space for some time now haha. And I love Left to lie, that song is just beyond awesome.

    Yeah, I mean Hardwick was maybe disorganized and maybe there were some things that weren't good in the movie, but she made Twiilght cool. I mean yeah there is Paramore (and I'm not a fan of theirs at all), but there are Iron and Wine, Blue Fondation, Mute Math, The black ghosts and they are very interesting....Radiohead for gods sake and of course Rob. If she didn't insist we wouldn't have Rob on the soundtrack :D
    I just hope they wont stray too much from that.
    There are so many little known solo artists and bands with great songs.

    Yeah, but don't forget that Kristen is the one who recorded Rob without him knowing and insisted that he be on the soundtrack, and she also picked Iron and Wine because she didn't like the song that Catherine picked for the prom scene. But yeah you're right, the music they picked was almost spot on, because Twilight isn't the usual "i love you, you love me" love story, they need the unsigned, little known artists to capture that crucial emotion and feeling that New Moon creates. I'm so glad someone is on the same page as me, :D

    Interesting....I had heard it was Nikki that recorded him on her laptop and played the songs for Catherine, suggesting he be on the soundtrack. Of course, Catherine has said that it was her idea that he be on the soundtrack, and she approached him about recording the songs.

    Always more than one story to things I guess.

    But you are right about Catherine. She took credit for asking him about it.

  • I can't get iTunes to open, its annoying the hell out off me, I think there is something wrong with my laptop. I'm going to have to get someone to have a look at it. First my email was playing up and now iTunes, saying that though ever since I downloaded Twilight into iTunes it hasn't been working properly.
