I’ve had some very common questions by email lately that I’d like to address–

• What happened to the New Moon teaser that was supposed to be on the Twilight Blu-Ray that was released on May 5th?
  -Actually, the Twilight Blu-Ray has been out since the same day as the DVD back in March. I’ve had my Target version of the Blu-Ray, with the same promise of a New Moon teaser on it, since then. It’s the Amazon Ultimate Edition of the Blu-Ray which is new as of May 5th, and though I have not seen the case, I supsect it is quite similar when listing the New Moon teaser among the bonus features.
• Ok, so the New Moon teaser wasn’t released in March OR May, what gives tough guy?
  -The teaser will be released via BD-Live. I use a PS3 for playing Blu-rays. It has an internet connection. Many Blu-rays I have rented have BD-Live features. As the name suggests, it is “Live” content–meaning it is not accessed from the disc, but what happens is the disc loads a tricked-up web browser and downloads the BD-Live features from a server off the internet. It’s basically interactive website content that can only be accessed through the disc.  
• But when is the New Moon teaser coming out on BD-Live? I NEED TO SEE IT NOW!
  -I do too. I have no 100% confirmed word on this. However, reader Melissa did send me an email reply she says was received in response to this very query to Summit prez Erik Feig:

  We’re aiming to have the teaser ready in mid-summer. Sometime June or July. As soon as it’s ready! The movie’s looking great so far.

  Sounds about right, and let’s consider it the official word till we hear different, shall we?

• Will this website die out when Eclipse comes out? Where will I get my fix of fresh daily Twilight goodness? I may perish!
  -Worry not, grasshopper. I had little foresight when I began this site–it was something I was doing for fun and I was going to be elated if a few people saw it, much less the multitude that visit it now. That said, yes, it’s become quite fun hasn’t it?
  Count on EclipseMovie.org and BreakingDawnMovie.org–I’ve actually already started on some of the prelims of getting the Eclipse site up which you can take a look at if you like, it’s in a very rough and broken shape and the graphics and posts are just placeholders, but I promise to let everyone know on here when it’s open for reading.

The cast went back to the New Moon star Robert Pattinson’s hotel room for an off-the-cuff jam session with the band Sage & the Dills, who are friends with fellow New Moon co-star Nikki Reed. This is revealed in the upcoming corner-store tabloid OK Magazine, which comes out Thursday–

As Robert, who plays dreamy vampire Edward Cullen, strummed his guitar, on-screen sibling Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) played harmonica while their big-screen sister Nikki Reed (Rosalie) added lyrics she had practiced onstage earlier that evening while serenading cast mate Taylor Lautner.

“We just got really creative,” lead singer Sage tells OK! of the intimate hotel-room session, which sounded like a mix of old-school rock and country as well as Van Morrison, Robert’s favorite rocker. “Everything blended together really well.”

Sounds fun, but I hope the hotel has good sound proofing! Maybe the New Moon cast should invest in a practice space in Vancouver while they’re in town? Any suggestions on band names? The Grateful Undead? All Hale Breaks Loose? Vampire Weekday? I could go on.

Red alert! There has been a Jane spotting in Vancouver! So, it seems that pretty much the entire cast is up in BC now. A TwiCrack reader says–

i got a pic with Dakota 20 minutes ago, i was walking with my friend in downtown vancouver and she was outside of her hotel, we asked her for a pic and said yes, she is so pretty and sweet.

Twilight and New Moon author Stephenie Meyer recently directed a video for a band she is inspired by–Jack’s Mannequin. It tells the tale of a fantasticly surreal love story, but in a completely different way than you might expect. Check out the interview with Andrew McMahon from the band on making the video with Stephenie Meyer as well.

Rachelle LeFevre stands up for Twilight against mega-annoying shock jock Lance Krall on Free Radio. It’s all in good fun, and I think Rachelle keeps up her side of the argument quite well! I think all the host has proven is he is able to talk annoyingly loud.

Did someone say “body massage“? Kellan Lutz, Edi Gatehgi and Peter Facinelli gave one nervous fan at the convention last weekend quite a treat–after she stumbled on asking a question, she got to sit in Kellan’s lap while receiving a back massage from Edi and a foot massage from Peter.
