Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie in New Moon, will be traveling to Italy with the cast of New Moon–even though her character is not featured in this part of the book. She says she just wants to hang out on the set and in Italy with her Twilight friends–

“Put it this way: I am not in any of the scenes in Italy, but we’ve already made sure that I am going to Italy while they shoot that,” Nikki Reed laughed, revealing plans to witness the Volturi firsthand. “Because I am sort of obsessed with that portion of the book.”

As Twilighters know, Nikki’s no-nonsense vampire Rosalie will check out of the film along with many other key characters once the Italian scenes begin. But Reed promised her fans that if you want Rosalie to be there when Alice and Bella rush to save Edward, well, she kinda will be.

“Basically [I'm just going to watch them shoot],” Reed said. “And also, it is a chance to be in Italy and pretend like it’s a work [excuse]. I have to be there — because I am in the film, so it’s really important that I go along.”  

You may remember that Kellan Lutz has already told press that he’ll be travelling to Italy, even though he won’t be shooting any scenes there, either.

New Moon Volturi members Cameron Bright and Jamie Bower–who will play Alec and Caius–were seen bonding off the set yesterday on the streets of Vancouver. Lainey Gossip has the Punkd pics and says–

Also shooting with a different crew – most of the vampires in town are doing green screen work to complement footage that was complete over the last few days: fight sequences, some added stunts, something about a vampire getting his head torn off. More angles of Edward getting tossed around, against the wall, up towards the ceiling, and Alice unable to help him.

Here’s an added little bonus for you Pattinson fans: am told he’s been working out a lot lately. At the gym almost every day.

New Moon star Taylor Lautner and his friend Selena Gomez as well as their families went out to dinner with each other yesterday, following a more private lunch with just Taylor and Selena during the day.

After lunch, Selena and Taylor went for a walk, picked up some groceries, enjoyed some down time.

And then at night – it’s the cutest! – they had dinner at the Spaghetti Factory …with their families! All together!

On Friday, there was a huge cast party in Vancouver that we’ve already seen some details arise from. Radar has some more info, including some new pics of Robert Pattinson and Jamie Bower. David Slade personally apologized while he was there to a fan concerning the recent Twitter controversy, and Robert Pattinson was friendly as well–

“As we walked up, we saw Rob walking in,” Theresa said. “He was friendly—I was quite surprised because I know he’s generally shy.” Theresa says that Pattinson spent about five minutes posing for pictures before going inside, despite the fact that a valet at the restaurant kept asking fans and paparazzi to leave him alone. When one man asked Pattinson to pose with him and the actor cheerfully agreed, he said: “Awesome! You just scored me bonus points with my wife!”

New Moon star Taylor Lautner jumps over a fire hydrant in the Vancouver rain in some new Punkd photos over at LaineyGossip. He’s like a Jacob Black superhero in real life!

Newcomer Charlie Bewley is set to play Demetri of the Volturi in New Moon. Not much is known about the UK-born Vancouver resident, so the TwilightBlog took the chance to ask him a few questions about himself and the role he’ll be playing. When asked what aspects of his character Demetri he’s most looking forward to play, Charlie said–

He has unparalleled tracking abilities together with insane strength, speed and classiness; lives in Tuscany, underground; hangs out with the beautiful Heidi who brings him food all the time; he has red irises and glitters in the sunlight… It’s hard, therefore, to see what’s not to like about playing this legend.

The commonalities we share mean this is a character I can seriously get my teeth into: He’s a tracker, I’m a rave-runner; he’s a diplomat, I’m a spiritualist; he’s cool and stylish, I’m…. we have a lot in common.

What I love about Demetri is that he is utterly charming in juxtaposition to big bad Felix, yet “no less lethal”… clearly this guy takes no prisoners. Well, he does… before tearing them limb from limb.
