I hate to speculate too, but it is sweet that Kristen is sitting between his parents. No matter what, they are obviously very good friends and I love that Kristen feels comfortable hanging with the in-laws, oh I meant the Pattisons, lol.

Poor Rob, he could not make it out (even on his birthday) without being harassed by over zealous fans. Wasn't it enough to just get to see him in person? They had to stop him and insist on autograhps and pictures? Some people just don't have any common sense. Rob is such a great guy and I give him credit for being so generous always with the fans (even though they don't deserve it at times).

Okay guys. Let me set a few things straight here. I happened to be at Glowbal last night (no I was not following him, it was just one of those super lucky, right-place-at-right-time, moments. I've read numerous accounts of Rob's birthday and I have to laugh when I see how many details they added just the make their stories seem juicer... so let me help you out with an ACTUAL account of what went down inside.

1. That woman pictured with Rob is NOT his mother. She is a reporter/Rob fan. His mother is however, the blonde in the cab picture.

2. The cast did NOT go to Afterglow after dinner. They hung out at their table until they left.

3. There were more people are this "dinner date" than just Rob and Kristen. In attendance there was Rob, Kristen, the Pattinson parents, Kristen's brother, Sam, Charlie Bewley, Jamie Bower, Ashley, and about 3 or 4 people I did not know. Although I did recognize one girl from the pictures of Sam's concert a few weekends ago.

4. For the most part, Rob and Kristen were sitting beside each other, but after the formalities and dinner was over they both moved around and associated with the others. From what I could see (and I was at a table right below them), there was nothing more going on between them other than 2 friends enjoying casual conversation.

Those are a few of the major details that most of the reports have gotten wrong, so hopefully I've helped to give you a clearer picture.

and where you there when they arrived or did you come when they had already been there ? you know the reports say K,R,his parents and Sam where joined by the rest afterwards,first they were the only ones there. and if as you say Taylor was there why did she leave with Rob and his parents instead of her bro and Ashley? why didn't she just simply go back to her hotel with them when the party was over?

It's great that his Mum and Dad flew over for his birthday, but why wouldn't they? I'm sure they must miss seeing him, but it's not cute or special it's the normal thing parents would do, make the journey to see their little boy. And also just because Kristen was there as well as others it doesn't confirm or deny any rumours about them either.

They are all away from home so where maybe in normal circumstances you would choose to go out with either your family or your friends, they choose to go out all together. It doesn't mean anything is going on, they were just a group of friends going out for a friends birthday. The only people who know the truth are Rob and Kristen and unless they make an announcement, why should they? Or we see pictures of them actually snogging. We'll never really know. But it is fun to speculate I must admit.

Just a CASTMATE or even FRIEND does not sit sandwiched between Rob's parents in the cab while Rob is in front at 1`AM, all going back to Rob's hotel (more than likely where his parents are as well) while Ashley is heading back to the same hotel as Kristen. I love how people are sayin they shouldnt get a cab together! Why shouldnt they? Personally, they look like really good friends to me. As much as I would love for them to be an item, she is only 19 and he is only 23 and well, they need to live their lives a bit before they "settle down". Just my opinion, I am in my 40's, happily married and have a huge admiration for him and Kristen. In some interviews that I have seen, they have both mentioned how important family and friends are to them. From their body language, it looks like they are both very "non" Hollywood types who are a little shy and still in awe of all the attention. I think it is sweet that they all (the whole group and parents) met for his birthday instead of having a tiring bash with lots of celebs that don't really care or know them hanging around for a camera moment to hit the news. I can't get over how much Rob and his father favor. Seeing photos of his parents, he is really a good mix of them isn't he? Sounds like he is so well grounded because of good parenting over the years.

Great points made but I was just stating the obvious. It seems that everyone wants them to be a couple and settling down. My posting was just saying that they are too young to be tied to one person. I was just stating that they should be able to be young, be friends, go out and not have all this speculation about them being a couple. I believe a lot of the hype between them is that many see (and dare I say hope) that there is a Bella/Edward relationship going on. It is obvious that they are really into each other but I think it is a trust of friendship. They both seem very shy and awkward to a point and tend to be pulled towards each other because of that. It really wasn't an argument per say as it was an observation from a fan. I think they are adorable as either a friend couple or a real couple. If they hook up - that is great, as long as they are happy but the tired old question of if they are together is really tiresome imho. The Kristen/Nikki/Michael feuds is tiresome too and it sells stories. I enjoy the pictures of them together after working hours and I like the fact that she knows his parents and such. Good friends tend to do that and I see them as good friends. :) If it's more, then God bless them because the press will do their darndest to make their lives hell unfortunately.

Wednesday night, I jokingly mentioned to my friends that it was Rob's birthday (they love to indulge my love for Twilight)- and two of my friends brought a cake to my house with 23 candles in it for Rob's b-day. Saw those this morning, If this isn't proof that Rob and Kristen are a couple, I don't what else would, maybe a sex tape? Even then, some would deny it as fake. He obviously did not go straight to the airport like the deniers thought. Look at how closely they are standing next to each other, that's not how 'friends' stand. And check out how wild his hair is vs. how it looked in the limo when they left the restaurant. Someone running her fingers through it during the ride? Umm, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but yes, that is his mum, BOTH of his parents were there and Kristen was sandwiched between them in the back seat as they went back to Rob's hotel. At 1 AM. Kristen and Rob had to finish the checker game they were playing in his bed at 4AM last Friday night.
