You can imagine my surprise when I found out she was actually playing a little set in NYC last summer! She is coming again in a few weeks. Woohoo! I enjoy all of her records (Separation Road, especially), but I think her new album is becoming my favorite! Especially her rendition of Sinatra classics. Love it! :)

This trailer..even 15 seconds of it looks makes this movie look 10 times better than Twilight and I like that very much. The quality look so much better(clearly do to the budget), the mood and emotion is evident in this trailer and I cannot imagine anyone playing Edward and Betta better than Rob and Kristen..they may or may not have something goin on personally but they know how to bring these characters to life so well..you imagine this to be real at times..I think I speak for alot of ppl when I say..countdown to Sunday and November 20th!!!

It really does! I love the feel they've given to this movie. The lighting, coloring, clothing is all very ominous, which is sort of the feeling that the book has. So kudos Mr W.!

I was thinking that too but I was just thinking about something....I think this part might be when they come back to Bella's house after the party and in the book she asks him if he is staying the night with her and he says its better for him to go home and she said for my birthday and then he tells her something like she can't have it both ways either she wants him to ignore her birthday or not, and she says okay I decided I don't want you to ignore my birthday...... but in the movie she says its my birthday and maybe she is asking for a kiss instead....maybe that's why she sounds so serious and he looks like that too........hmm, I don't know just a thought.

Actualy in the book Bella decides she doesn't want him to ignore her birthday anymore, she asks him for a kiss and to stay with her that night, and Edward accepts and even helps her take her birthday presents upstairs.

I sorta agree. kristen isn't putting enough into her role *cue the haters* i love her, and think she's the perfect bella. but she NEEDS to start putting more into her role. she's supposed to be inlove with edward, with all different kind of emotions, i don't feel (particualrly in this clip) that she understands Bella very well. maybe because she hasn't completed reading the saga ( a sin, i know lol) or maybe just because that is her way of acting.
rob is perfect though, the way he portrays edward is captivating. like how sad/torn he looks in this clip....it's brilliant.
and kristen's voice is monotomous, like it's the same pitch throughout the movie. when she said " i love you" it sounded like she was placing an order at mcdonalds, not declaring her love for edward.
but all in all, i think they will do wonderfully in this movie. can't wait until sunday for the trailer!

I don't care when they twist scenes but please have them stay in character. She's all sad/imo in this clip. Maybe i misread her in the book but i could so relate to her in that part bcuz i have done the happy thing b4 when i know someone is upset. OMG......i can't wait until SUN. Never have i wanted a w-end to be over so much!!

A hundred things going through her mind and more worried than happy….<--(even in that short scene that should have came across her facial expression )

I posted the same thing a few weeks ago..... i said I would get in there and help her out in reference to some photo i saw (don't remember which one) Yes, Rob blows everyone away w/ his passion and expression. It's unbelievable. I do kind of actually understand why she asked for one. You are right on the money w/ the point about she shouldn't need to ask but at that particular moment I think she wasn't sure what he was feeling. She thought he was upset w/ her and was kind of feeling him out for lack of a better word. That's the way I interpreted it. And Bella always talks about how she knows how he's feeling by the urgency of his kisses. When they are soft, gentle, everything is all good but when they are strong, powerful, urgent, her intuition always tells her something is wrong.

All I know is KStew doesn't appreciate kissing him the way we all would-ha ha! I'd be like, can we do a retake???? I did hear the Italy kiss took 6 takes............ahhh, my dream come true. Boy, it's clear on these posts that we all interpreted her emotions differently during that period of the book. I thought she was trying to be happy/enthusiastic in the hopes of making him feel like its' all okay. But it's natural to project how yo uwould feel what you would do onto someone else. This Rob obsession is draining-ha ha!!

ok; i have the book infront of me right now..in the book; this scene actually occurs when they leave the party; if this is in fact the scene...they leave; and edward attitude kinda change and it's very tense in the car..thats when they'r talking about; if bella cut herself; mike newton or someone else could stand to stay there and hold her hand because remember edward was struggling why carisle work on bella.....and they argue a little bit and get out the car and she wants him to stay the night; he's hesitant and he agrees and he later kiss her..

in that scene in the book; bella knows somethings wrong; but she's not all happpy or appear enthusiastic though....so i feel kristen expression is perfect....when they get in her room; she then wants to open her presents; and he asked her "where didi the enthusiasm come from"...basically; i am trying to say that bella knows somethings wrong; and try to smooth it out by accepting the presents and all; but in the book; it doesn't mentioned any thing about her emotions at the time (if she's smiling etc)..mostly she's sees his emotions; like he's not saying a lot; and trying to rush her to sleep and stuff.. so i think it's ok in the clip we see..maybe if they do thebedroom scene after this scene; then maybe they will show bella/kristen kinda acting a little enthusiastic

Why are we complaining guys? Not everything is going to be to each person's specifications. We are starting to sound like whiney teenagers. i agree @cullenfanatic...i have the book right infront of me and this scene is after they leave edward house afterthe party; edward's attitude changes; he's kinda acting weird or tense; or sad; and bella isn't all smilling and laughing in the book...she knows somethings wrong and she try to talk him into staying with her that night...and then he kisses her ..it looks like it is in the book to me..bella isn't cracking jokes because her man's hurting..lol. well in the book; she does smile once during this time when he says "i'll be in your room." .i think kristen is right on; but it' s only 15 seconds and its not the whole movie; so lets us not judge..plus i think so far the characters are doing fine

15 seconds is just a blink of the eye! Maybe there's a difference because I don't have sound- but I don't understand how people can say things like:

"Kristen's acting is terrible"
"The movie is sooo different from the book"

I love Kristen as Bella in this clip. She portrays Bella exactly as in the book.

It's a quiet and intense ride after the party. Edward feels angry, guilty and sad (I hope Rob shows a little angry in his face, he looks sad though). Bella tries to beg, even blame herself for what happened, just to make Edward not feel guilty. Then she asked him to kiss to break the indifference and silence between them. So this kiss shouldn't be a crazy, enthusiastic kiss. I know you're all crazy about their kisses. But read the book and understand the character before criticizing.

Bella is a complicated character to play. She's clumsy, introverted, compassionate, but has a hard time to express her feeling. Remember Eclipse, she has a hard time to tell Edward how much she wants to make love with him. Their relationship is different and intense. So don't expect Bella or Edward react the same way like typical couples. That makes the story and the movie so interesting.

So fan, understand Bella, read the book before saying anything stupid.

i agree that they do pretty well, but kristen stewart sometimes to me isn't portraying bella very well. that scene in the book where they get back from the birthday party and he takes her home in the clip is a good example. in the book when she askes for a kiss it seems like she would be trying to break the tension and make the request somewhat playful, with a small smile forming. however, in all the scenes where you would think bella would be a tiny bit playful or even happy, kristen stewart still has this depressed look on her face. i just don't think that it's a good depiction of bella in that sense. to me tone and facial gestures are an important part of the dialogue and i just don't think kristen stewart has truly mastered yet bella's mind set.

I do respect everyone's opinions, but I love Kristen. I think that she is a great actress and I love her interpretation of Bella. Bella is different to all of us, but I honestly like Kristen in this scene. She is desperate to get him to feel something because he is getting ready to leave her and she senses that. So she forces the flirtation and I love the eyebrown thing. Most actresses do not think of little things like that. But everyone has the right to their own opinions.

We should have a Kiss-A- Meter like therametor, which Edward/Bella kiss is the hottest and they are about to get even more hot onces Eclipse roles by and hold on to your seat belts for Breaking Dawn. Like I said Al Gore will be on the hunt for this two, cause their kisses are going to be melting more ice caps.

Catherine hardwicke did that mistake by having a really racy kissing scene. I think the directors and the movie makers think that the audience wants MORE SEX, when reality the books slowly built up the sensuality as their relationship progressed...that in my opinion is what kept the audience wanting more and more..

see now, when breaking dawn finally comes out and they have another really intimate scene, for me personally its not gonna be that emotionally climatic because its like ive seen it so many times already. you know what i mean?

I utterly love her Kristen's interpretation of Bella and I can't understand the criticism.When Bella is completely intoxicated by Edward in the begining of Twilight&thinking he can't feel the same she tries to get over herself and Kristen portrays it perfectly,people say she lookl like a retard...and when Bella is a bit more confident of herself in 'New Moon' and tries to distract Edward because he's soo gloomy after the birthday accident and Kristen shows her confidence, using some more face expressions,people don't like it again.

My question is: How long is the actual trailer going to be? omg....come on 15 sec. They are killing me here!! arghhh!! Finally an I love you. And this makes kiss #3 i have seen so they better keep all 3 smooches (if not more) in the movie. One ? though. Is Kristen Stewart ever going to read any of the books or are the directors ever going to actually direct and say, "hey Kstew, you are supposed to be acting happy when u ask for that kiss." In that part of the book she knows something is very wrong w/ Edward and is trying to be Ms. Cheerful. All of a sudden she wants her b-day presents, kisses, etc. It was almost nauseating how cheerful she was (not that i wouldn't have been the same way). So, why so imo in the movie?????? Stick to the character please. I don't care when they twist scenes a little but please have them stay in character! For Gods' sake! Did I misinterpret her emotions during that part of the book or wasn't she Ms. Happy Pants?????

Actually... I can see what you mean... cause I thought so in Twilight aswell, but I've kind of just accepted it because she's the one who's going to play Bella through the entire series anyway. I've already been annoyed quite a few times by the way she plays Bella, but they wont switch her to someone else now (which I'm glad, cause I want the same actress through the series) or later. Don't get me wrong, I actually really like Kristen as a person, but she could have smiled a bit more in stead of just letting her mouth hang open and with eyes as if she's tired 24/7 (dont hate on me, it was put on the edge).

I 100% agree with you! In Twilight I couldnt figure out if it was the directors fault or if Kristen just didnt grasp Bella's character. Where's the desperation for Edward? The longing...the fear that one day she would wake up and this was all a dream or he realizes shes not good enough for him? Or the shyness...the blushing (cheeks dont necessarily have to turn red, just act bashful)....the "old soul" always thinking of others before herself.

I think she nailed the pain in the ballet studio. The stuttering in the hospital was so forced though. Come on girl the love of your life is talking about leaving!!! I think Kristen is a cool person but she isnt at all how I pictured Bella. Maybe it was the director and she will have a complete turn around in NM.

haha i wont kill you cuz i do agree with you in some ways lol. Catherine def should take the blame for a lot of what screwed up Twilight (not that it wasnt a great movie.) I actually watched the movie first which made me read the books and fall in love. The first time I watched the movie I didnt understand B and E relationship. They fell in love so fast! one day that werent talking then BAM shes his life? I know what you mean about the "we shouldnt be friends." They werent friends yet anyway lol. I think a lot of that came from having to shorten the movie to make budget and what not.

KS needs to bring more qualities and emotions of Bellas character. It feels like Kristen is playing herself rather than getting into character. Maybe she will readjust...hopefully. Im counting on seeing a "down in the dumps how the heck am I supposed to make it through the day with the feeling of my insides being ripped out" Bella in NM. I think Kristen has the potential to do it. i just want the desperation, the "dazzling", the heart pounding out her chest, the insecurities, and the "old soul" characteristics that were lacking in Twi.

I did the same. I watched the movie then read the books. I went back to see the movie after I read the books and thought that those scenes that weren't in the book should have just been left out and more time spent on Bella & Edward's questions for each other or something like that. I loved how Stephenie Meyer wrote the books. It seemed as though everything was there, no further interpretations needed. But a person watching a movie can't fantasize about how any of the characters should be or how any of the emotions would be displayed. I think I'm more critical because of the books.

Kristen's Bella is very moody and doesn't display much emotion. She doesn't modulate Bella's voice very much so the delivery is also rather flat. I know Bella in the book isn't a ray of sunshine either so maybe CH had Kristen playing up the darker aspects of Bella's character to somewhat match the darker Edward we saw in Twilight. I think Kristen is a good actress and CAN portray emotions well....just check out all those lovey-dovey, full of longing and admiring looks that she gave Robert Pattinson when posing for the cameras at Twilight events. It's as if she can't stop looking at him! (not that I can fault her for that LOL!!)

well i think that KS is totally capable of doing bella,she has tons of potential! but i think at twilight it was mostly CH's fault. and now,in NM we have an AWESOME director which hopefully will choose the RIGHT scenes to put in the movie and not leaving the important one's out.

Yes! You're SO right! It was one of the FIRST things I said when I walked out the movie.... I hadn't read the books before I saw the movie.. and I was like "You shouldnt be friends? Then stay the eff away from her, you idiot (my apologizes, but well yeah...)! I kept thinking about it during the movie.... Why do you keep following her?? And you're suddenly friends now? All you've been doing is making awkward conversation... YAY we're friends!
In the book Bella and Edward have these long conversations where they ask questions about each others.. Why couldn't she have put that in the movie? Then maybe I would have understood the "friendship" they were suddenly building :p

I agree with many of the comments above. I love the Twilight saga and RP, but I'm not a fan who disregards things about the movie just because RP is hot.

It was and still is my hope that the new director will make a difference. I've watched a lot of things that KS has done and all the interviews and she does sound the same. I read somewhere that RP took some time to prepare and get into the character. He hadn't heard of Twilight when he auditioned either. He read the books after being hired and prepared himself. I did read somewhere also that Rob was working out trying to buff up for the role and was told to stop. So there are a lot of things that go on behind the scenes.

"my agent MADE me read the script"? So did she thank her agent for giving her the opportunity of a lifetime? Did she get busy preparing for a job that she was hired to do? What I mean is learn everything you can about the role?

She was basically invisible in Phoenix and now in Forks the catch of the school gives her his attention and... she doesn't pull the awe and insecurity off.

I'm hopeful but after hearing that "i love you", I'm not so sure. It's her delivery of the lines when being tender and emotional in a deeply felt way that's lacking. I think she has anger down for sure. I don't want to pick her apart but you know getting physical is much easier than getting emotional.

I am very glad that I read the books. They are truly amazing.

I would have agreed with you if this wasn't the scene after the birthday. Bella is in this emotional state in which Kristen Stewart portrays her, and that's also why I don't think it's a good scene for a trailer becuase people who don't think of that might conceive kristen as a bad actress. (and the line as stupid and cheesy)

I think people should wait for the whole trailer (or even the movie) first. I mean 15 sec. isn't a lot of time to judge what exactly is going on (even if we read the books) and why she's making the face she is.

Agreed. It was 14 seconds, which is too short to jump to conclusions about Kristen's acting. I'd need much more to make that judgment. I had not read the series before I saw Twilight, and I was like "huh?" a couple of times. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie but after reading the books, I can see where maybe it could have been better. I'm sure New Moon will be even better and hopefully not confuse those who have not read the books.

I think it's a good scene for a teaser trailer. It really made most of us swooning and hungry for more. Just look at the hotness of the scene. It gives you chills!

yeah well, of course *I* liked it. but the trailer isn't exactly made for those people who are gonna see the movie anyway (though it's a very. very nice treat) but for those who still have to be convinced to go see it. And those are mostly people that have no clue of what's going on here, so they're gonna judge it from a different point of view.

I agree, I think she sucks. But she is going to remain in the movies. Kristen has one constant emotion...whatever that is. I don't know how to describe it. I guess I had imagined that when Bella tells him that she could be just like him right now that it would sound more like a hopeful plea and when she says she loves him that it would sound a little insecure and coming from a girl who would blush from shyness and not sound so much like statement. I love this part, but Kristen does not seem to be kissing him back much. Her mouth is always closed and frozen, but Robert always seems eagar and ready (Rob has this way of touching your face when he is about to kiss you and it makes my heart melt), but Kristen does not, we have not seen the whole scene yet and I hope it is better. I think that she is holding back some, because of her boyfriend. If she is going to be a better actor than she should be more convincing. Watch again and let me know what you think. ( I did like the way see raised her eyebrow when she said kiss me.) Robert is doing a wonderful job, by the way. Love the boby and the hair looks good. I hope he keeps it this way. He is so much more sexy with shorter hair than when it was longer. He looks much more grown up now and I think that he will get a lot movie deals now.

The dialog is not going to be exactly as in the book, not the scenes. That's expected. This is when he drops her off at the house after the party. She doesn't want her b-day ignore because she knows something is wrong and she wants to distract him.

I think the entire scene was compressed..there are things we didn't see that'll be in the movie.....I hope!

Just remember one thing, which I have to remind myself all the time, Books are always different from the movies. As much as it sucks sometimes you have to look at them both individually. They are def. related but not identical. That was my biggest problem for me with twilight. And in the part after Jasper snaps at Bella, Edward takes her home and is acting weird. I think this is that part. That is when she does recognize her birthday. I do agree with you ravendew, when they do a trailer it can def. mislead you.

I just can't believe this is really happening. I remember when I got my mind around that idea that there will a New Moon movie at all, I thought, oh wow, that means a LOT of Edward-free-and-Jacob-loaded time, cool.
And now look what they're making of it. They practically change the story and make it a goddamn Rob-show. This is ridiculous, and not only because it's so obvious how desperatly they're trying to sell the movie through Rob rather than maybe...mhhh...I don't know...THE STORY??

LOL!!! It really creeped me out. I was A-OK for imprinting until it happened to Jake - not because I like him - but just that it was freaky... For me it was like Edward falling in love with Leah - IMPOSSIBLE!! I was very interested to see all of them imprinting Sam, Embry, Quil etc...

I so wanted Jake to imprint... but on Leah. I might be a going a bit over board in stating that Bella should have made to suffer everyday looking at Jake and Jake not going back to Bella. Well... I don't really think that the script is quite like the book in every aspect so maibe there won't be the bedroom scene at the end, because as I understood from different sources on the net they have changed a bit the end of the movie... We will just have to wait and see

It's not a trailer, it's a very short clip, a part of a teaser trailer.
It has a lot of logic that a trailer starts with Edward and Bella because if you jump to Jacob parts it will just make people confused. It wouldn't be clear what's going on.
