I went to Montepulciano today for the casting call, its only a 3 1/2 hr drive from Naples where I live, which by the way I couldn't get a part because of Italian labor laws (despite no pay extra work) against non EU citizens. Even though I live in Italy and have the equivalent of an Italian SS#, wasn't good enough....But, the city looks amazing. There are red flags going up in many parts of the old city. The casting crew told me they would be closing the city during filming which will make it difficult to see anything. But I happened to meet 3 other Americans there today in for the filming (also told they couldn't be cast for the same reason). It was awesome to sit in the Piazza Grande watching the crew build the fountain and hang flags while drinking Cafe. I will return on Tuesday for the week for the filming to try to catch a glimpse of anything, I am totally bummed about casting though!

Sorry but that is NOT Taylor...Taylor has an eight-pack guys...not a six-pack!!! He worked so hard to get it why can`t the person that made the poster get at least THAT correct!!??

I went to Volterra in december/january and there were the "donate blood" signs EVERYWHERE! So it isn't just in Montepulciano- it's in Volterra itself :)

Filming is next week and I arrive Tuesday!!! I am one lucky lady :-)

They are in pre production now, I was there today. They are supposed to start filming on Monday, the 25 and wrap on the 30th.

I'll be in Italy. With the hubby, though, so no chance of heading to Montepulciano. So close! Wonder where cast/crew will hang. (i hear it's an off-the-beaten-path village.)

It's beautiful!!! I think that's fantastic that they're getting everyone involved, too. It bolsters interest in/support for the movie and I'm so excited to see those streets jam-packed with people and Bella shoving her way through.
