i wish team edward and team jacob would stop attacking eachother! The facts are: bella loves jacob like a brother. bella loves edward like a husband. that's just the way it is! i personally am obsessed with bella and edward, but that's just my personal opinion. we should all just be able to agree that edward and jacob and the wolves are all very important. Without either of them--- and b4 u argue, think about it--- there wouldn't be a story.

Well i have read all the books and I am glad Edward and Bella gor married they were meant for each other, i can't wait to see the movie New Moon it will be great, Besides Edward is the one Bella truely loves Jacob just feels like a brother to her.

I think the team stuff is ridiculous. There's no doubt that the VAST MAJORITY of Twilighters ADORE Edward and Bella. That's why Robert is one of the most famous men in the world right now. That being said, Jacob is an important aspect of the story. However, that doesn't change the fact that the entire saga is about Edward and Bella. As Stephenie Meyer said herself, Twilight is about finding true love, New Moon is about losing true love, and Eclipse is about choosing true love. The story is always about Edward and Bella. Its about the sacrifices that Bella made to spend an eternity with Edward, because she literally sees him as her own being, and can't live without him.
That's why she says in BD:
"Because nothing else mattered but that I could stay with him."
For Edward, she could, and does, give up everything. The only thing that she could NEVER give up is Edward. Its also why every Twilight book is based on an epic love story: Pride and Prejudice, Romeo and Juliet, and Wuthering Heights. Edward/Bella are an epic love story.
To be clear, I don't need anyone to respond to this/argue with me. I'm not trying to be rude, but everything I've said...that's just what the story IS, even if there are a minority of fans who don't like it.

Band names? The only thing that pops into my mind is, "Exactly my brand of heroin".

I also wish they would stay with the book and as for the whole Jacob loses comments, Jacob doesn't lose. He was never meant to be with Bella, even though he thought he was. He belongs to Renesme and her to him so in the end he only cares about Bella as a friend as it was meant to be.

I hate that some ppl r saying that jacob isn't an important part of the twilight books b/c without him everything would be all jacked up. the wolves would have never worked w/ the vampires in the last book and when bella was turned into a vampire she would have been killed and...it would have just been bad so the wolves are just as important to the story as anything else.

I LOVE KStew and all, but her facial expressions are kinda starting to irritate me. I used to think that they were so cute and unique, but damn. Give us a smile every once in a while, Kristen!

Again ..... Just hope that Taylor gets a fair shot in New Moon. This book was about Edward leaving and Jacob coming to the rescue. It's only marginally about Edward. Taylor worked really hard for this opportunity and he shouldn't get bumped for Rob.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure Taylor's going to get his fair shot. If you take a look at how many times ppl kept bumping into him/getting pics, and keep getting shots of him in Vancouver, he's definitely around for filming a lot of scenes. (:

Did you see the picture of Taylor out in Vancouver by himself at 11pm? I've never seen him out alone esp. late at night. He looked unhappy. I hope that he's OK. Also in the pictures with Selena have you noticed that she is always touching him but he isn't touching her back (hugs etc.) Interesting.

I know, it's really hard to see pictures of someone we like so much and personalize him as "our own" being with someone else, isn't it? It's like even though we want the best for that person, we don't really want things to work out for them if he means they can't be exclusively ours. ( we most likely can't really have Taylor for ourselves, but we sure as heck don't want anyone else having him!)

Actually I'm old enough to be his grandmother so I don't have feelings of ownership for him but I do think that he seems really sweet and I like that about him. I'm glad that he has someone to hang out with like Selena. I think that it must be kind of lonely for him without his friends and he's still to young to really spend time with the other cast members so it's good he has someone his own age. Parental involvment is a great way to stop a lot of stupidity early on. Goodness knows I was an airhead for most of my teen life (love to say that's changed) but the fact that my mother would practically kill me if I did something stupid and YES, she would ALWAYS somehow find out, really kept me out of a lot of trouble.

get involved in something that leads to something else esp. when you're

apparently all alone. I know that I'm a old fuddy duddy but Taylor's family
come from Grand Rapids, the most conservative city in Michigan ( I know
because I live in Michigan) and while I'm not conservative I'm sure that his
folks are looking out for him and that's at least in part why he's so nice.

why is everyone angry about edward being alot in the movie we don't know how much he will be untill the movie is out and not all scenes that they are shooting make the cut at the end,and i don't think this means that there will be less jacob is just that in the bella hears edwards voice but bcs its a movie she will hear and see him too its part of her hallucination,and if you read the book at the end when she wakes up and sees edward she thinks she is having another hallucination of him ,and i think even in the book when she hears his voice she sees his face in her head and thats what they trying to do in the movie .so lets not get too stressed about it untill the movie is finished .

This is silly to argue over this! I’m sure that isn’t the final script. They wouldn’t let out anyway, secondly, Edward is only in the movie more regarding the voices she hears in her head, instead of just hearing his voice she see’s an apparition of Edward. This is a movie so visual, other then that he is not in the movie more. Yes, she chooses Edward and I am happy about that. Jacob’s character is not my favorite, but he is part of the story , so it has to play out. If it would have been a normal story without vampires and werewolves, Edward would have died from the flu, Bella would have been dead she would have been crushed by the van. The point is it is a fantasy story, so obviously that is what the author wanted to write about. She said on the DVD if it had been a normal story Bella would be with Mike Newton. The fun part is that it is a fantasy story like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, Interview with a Vampire etc. The cast including Taylor said they like the script, so I wouldn’t worry too much. We will see Edward and we will see Jacob.

I think that all the twilight movies should´ve been at least 2 and a half hours long ,like the harry potter ones, it´s so desapointing to go to the movies expect a scene from the book that you really wanted to see and it gets cut off...i was so depressed when i saw the first one like most people were , and i´m re-reading the first book now and i see so many interesting parts that should´ve been in the movie like the time they both said i love you , the hospital scene (which was ridiculous in the movie especially cuz kristen was awful),the prom scene was lame in the movie and amazing in the book......so i hope new moon sticks more to the book!

In Twilight, unless you're paying close attention, Edward's mind-reading only comes into play a couple times (@ dinner in Port Angeles, before Bella leaves for Phoenix). I'm not sure if it'll come off as cheesy in the movie, but I'd like to listen to the thoughts that Edward can hear, too!

It isn't a load of crap for Jacob....I think it is really fauthfully transfered from the book. Just becaue there are Edwads apparitons it doesn't mean he is taking anything from Jacob or that is ruining the story. I even think it is very beautifully done.

What I think that is unfair and not done very well is the ending. It is rushed, Bella and Edward reunion wasn't what I expected after Italy especially after all the angush Bella goes through they get together rather quickly. And that's what I was afraid of.

And besides that it is a second draft from December. There were rewrites and they probably added some stuff now. For example theatre scene is added.

The Jake parts I thought were good, he and the pack were in it the hole middle part of the movie like the book.The only parts of extra Edward were the apparitions.

Regarding the Jacob parts, I was hoping for more of a "revelation" from Bella when she discovered he was a werewolf..more similar to what was in the book. And yes, the reconciliation between B and E after Italy should have been longer because it was my fave part of NM!! But either the script is fake OR since it said 2nd draft and it was only 89 pages, they've added stuff or tweaked it since then...... I hate that we have to wait 6 mos to find out.

DITTO. I wanted the "when I told you I didn't want you, it was the blackest kind of blasphemy" quote in the movie. But that's me living in dreamland. I knew they wouldn't get that elaborate with it. But maybe a paraphrasing of it?? Who knows what'll actually come out in the final script and in the movie. We're all just speculating w/ this script.

I think I mistook a comment when I posted this.. as far as it being crap for Team Jacob. I guess that means because of all the flickering images of Edward. I do agree in that respect! They need to focus more on Jacob and Bella's relationship. That's the big development in the book!

When you think about it "Edward" can't take any time from Jacob and the pack.
He just appears in the scenes with Bella, those scenes are happening anyway. Yes, there are short scenes with him away...but that can't possibly take too much.

We all forget that the first big pack part is in chapter Family...they aren't too much in the book. Jacob is. I understand about Native pride and everything but still that is the fact.

I don't remember all the details...but in general when they are aproached by the Volturi it goes really fast (but I don't mind that part), then plane ride is absent (which I may understand because mostly during that time we hear Bella's monolugue in the book)...the part that I thought isn't good is when they're back in Forks and their conversation in Bella's room. A lot of dialogue is missing and it's short....
I hope they did a rewrite to that part, there's still a chance.

I think the team Edward people kind of outnumber the team Jacob, and well, Jacob doesn't win... if they stick even close to the script then they cover the high points of Bella's developing friendship with Jacob. I was satisfied. The movies just need to be longer, like Lord of the Rings. 2 hours is like stupid. These books are filled with such great storyline! Too bad the movies can't have it all.

But the book isn't about Bella and the wolves. It's about Bella and Edward. The wolves were added for suspence, drama, etc... It would need to be an entirely different movie if that much was devoted to deloping Jacob and the wolf pack.

oh. you're very wrong. werewolves are not added just to add some suspense, drama (in short props) in the story. the story would be a LOT different if there were no werewolves. Bella would've died with depression, without the wolves. the vampires would've died while fighting with the newborn vampires without the werewolves. and lastly, if we were doing a home reading report, the werewolves would be a part of the MAIN characters. i hope you know what MAIN means, right?

ummm i think it's a tie. the wolfpack plays an important role in twilight as much as the cullens. They are a direct contrast in the series; like Hot vs Cold. Jacob's relationship with bella is indeed VERY important. Her ties with him are deep and to have to lose that for the one you can't live without shows how much she struggled/sacrificed to finally be with edward in the end. I want to see these conflicting emotions in bella in Eclipse. to see how difficult it was for her to leave jake for edward.

I think newmoon is more about realtionships rather than a particular character, although i do think that newmoon is more about edward than some people think, i mean every process bella goes through is all about edward, the only reason she goes to see jacob in the first place is because of the fact edward has left her, it's also a lot about bella and jacobs relationship forming, they can't skip on that, they have to show how much she needs him because of the fact edward isn't with her, i think there needs to be an equal balance, first half should be about how special jacob is to bella and how much he has helped her, second half should be about the reunion and love between edward and bella and how they can't live without each other again.

I agree with your comment. I don't think there needs to be more Jacob in the movie and it's great they're showing Edward in the movie - its more modern tech, visually appealing and it leaves fans with the satisfaction of seeing Rob's beautiful face =)

the more develop they make Jacob's relationship with Bella, the more awkward and weird Breaking Dawn will be to the moviegoers when Jacob imprints on her daughter. They have to keep Jacob/Bella's relationship on the friends bases. Especially since we all know who she chooses, it doesn't make a difference. People would be confused as to why she choose Edward if they put anymore interaction between her and Jacob in New Moon. They have to show that Edward means so much more to her than Jake. and anyway I think Bella was just using Jake in New Moon to fill up the hole and help her feel reckless. The story is more about Edward than people persume.

Jacob is my favorite not because of looks. Because to me, he was more human than some of the other characters. Looks have absolutely nothing to do with.

Stephenie has been pretty involved so far to make sure the most important key elements are there. I'm sure she wouldn't let him get away with not including a major portion of the important parts of the book.

now, i know new moon is about bella and jake relationship growing; but it;s mostly about bella and edwards love too.. i mean edward starts and ends the book; how important can he get?..lol..but no disrespect; jake is not just a sideline character as he brings an importance to the storyline.. but mainly; even if bella isn't trying or admitting it; her whole life centers around edward and thats why shes taking risks to hear him; so therefore making him the main character even though he's gone.....

however; i think the y should even out the playing field and include jake more; edward less; but not too less..i dont mind the flattering images at all because even though i love the books like hell; seeing and reading is not the same...if they did it like in the book with hearing voices; it would look kinda cheesy....they can show some; but not a lot of flattering images..but i still wont complain..lol...team edward...

err. i'm no team jacob but i disagree. it does matter. it's part of the story. a major one. and if they showed just a little bit of it, the rivalry of jacob and edward in eclipse would be less exciting. :)

I wasn't saying that Jacob's part in the movie/book isn't important. We all know he's going to be (and needs to be) in it and have seen scenes they are shooting. What I'm saying is that the "team Jacob" crap is a bit much. It made sense when we wern't "sure" who she would pick, but we know now....so get over it already!

I'm Team Jacob because he is one of my favorite characters. Big frigging deal. We all have our favorite characters, and call ourselves team whatever. If Team Edward is perfectly fine. Team Jacob should be perfectly fine too.

I liked both characters equally....It is kind of interesting to know that if, in the book, vampires didn't exist Bella would have been SOO in love with Jacob and they would have been happy together

Yay! Someone like me. Sometimes I lean more toward her being with Edward, sometimes moreso with Jake. Both characters are great. And yes, it added an interesting angle when she realized a part of her DID want a life with Jacob.. that she wanted it all. That she would've been with him.

And I can't help it. I loved the character of Renesmee and understand why Jacob imprinted in a way... but it also kinda creeps me out. :| heh.

I know! lol That is one of the aspects that I loved so much. Bella could have had a human life with Jacob. If the vamps never existed, or came to Forks. Remember the vampires coming back to Forks was the main reason for Sam's hatred. He phased, he imprinted on Emily, he broke Leah.

I just honestly think it's stupid to be a "team anybody" anymore. Now that that suspense part of the book is past, just get over it. Putting Jacob in the movie more than is really necessary just because you like him better is just kinda stupid.

Bella is the main character, and for her, Jacob plays a role as important as the role of Edward. So get over your hatred or whatever! Being proud of Native American characters isn't what this book is about. The book and thus movie(s) is about Bella and Edward/vampires.

It's perfectly fine the be proud of that, but it honestly has nothing to do with the books or movies.

The books are as much about the werewolves as it is about the vampires. If the werewolves didn't exist it would be a pretty boring story, same with the vampires!

I think you need to go back and re read the books to get a better understanding off the full story!

Well said, deedee! I think each character's personalities are kind of enhanced when shoved up against the person they dislike or are in contrast to. You notice Edwards' politeness/intensity more up against Jakes casual cheerfulness and directness and both have their positives.

sure you right @ deedee81... the books is as much about both supernatural forces; vamps and wolves... it could have been boring if it was written with only the vamps..though i still think it would have sold out and still be sexy and written from that personal point of view..

also i like hoow step writes; its not like the other vamp books out there...nor is the movies..she writes on a personal note that you forget you are reading about vamps and wolves yanno...that in terms connects you to the story because it's so personal..and this is for the stupid people out there saying "whats all the hype's about; and that twilight saga is just another vamp book".. no it isn't. i have watch a lot of movies on vamps and super natural and never seen one like the saga.....steph makes you feel like you can believe true love exist against all oddss..gosh i could go on man; i liked her writting..

p.s.; i reread breaking dawn today again and finished; i was crying at the end when bella showed edward her past human memories; from the first time she saw his face; to him protecting her from james, the look on his face when he's about to marry her; to isle esme, the pregnancy, the first night as an immortal...oh lawd..i was crying my eyes out..that is so real and passionate and beautiful; now tell me if you even seen another vamp book as beautifully written; and dont tell me about the stookie stockhouse series or the southern vamp series..lol.. i will try reading those though....i heard some similarities between stephs and them; but no one can outdo steph..heheh

what? are you serious? do you even imagine how the story would look like if it was almost everything about the primary characters? and you just said that the book isn't about Bella and the wolves. duh? in new moon, it IS mostly about Bella and the wolves. but let's just say that it's not about Bella and the wolves. let's say it is really just about Bella's struggle. the wolves has a BIG part on her struggle. and we want the movie to be as much as possible similar to the book. if you and Chris Weitz had the same kind of thinking, i think a lot of fans would be disappointed because the book was not just because of how bella struggled. but it was also because of how she met the werewolves which became a part of Eclipse and BD. another reminder, please, don't keep throwing back your previous issues.

I took "more than he should' as extra scenes. If I misunderstood then I am woman enough to admit when I am wrong. If I am wrong, then I apologize.
I have to respectfully disagree. They were represented equally. Especially as the saga grew. First in New Moon we are introduced to the pack members. Their legends are explained, and the in depth reasons why they protect La Push. Yes Edward's presence is represented in Bella's actions. However the pack was still there. They killed Laurent, they sniffed around for Victoria. Then we move into Eclipse where their presence becomes more prominent with the rise of newborns. They practice fighting with the Cullens, they track Victoria, they have the big fight with the Cullen family against Victoria, and the newborns. Finally we have Breaking Dawn where from book 2 onward they are a driving force. The wolves were one of the reasons why the Volturi pulled back. They were not the only reason, but they were one of them.

To me, they were equally represented. I just did not read the saga and stay stuck in one POV. I didn't allow myself to simply see the amazing love story between Bella and Edward. I absorbed all angles of the story like a sponge. All aspects of the story.

I guess all we can do is agree to disagree.

Some people get stuck in the love story between Edward and Bella and can't see the rest of the story, the the points of view of the other characters. That's pretty sad, but oh well... I do not want EXTRA Jacob/pack scenes because the character is Native American. I simply said that I wish for Jacob, and the wolves to be represented equally. That their scenes not be cut for some extra Edward. I would feel just as ticked off about extra Jacob/pack scenes as I do about the Edward stuff.

Good filmmakers know to make a book adaptation make enough sense so that newbies can understand it. They sort of dumbed down Twilight so that non-book fans knew what was going on. I saw the movie before I read the books and it was easy to follow. But now that I'm a major fan of the books and have read them all multiple times, I am of course possessive of some of my fave parts and don't want them to be cut from the sequels! *Sigh*

I read it. Its not the same. Some of the scenes that have already been filmed (movie theater) are not in it at all. So instead of just hearing edward shes gonna see him too.. Actually makes more sense to me since a movie is more visual than a book is obviuosly.. Cheer up maddd.. have you watched the Cardio with the Cullens video that will cheer you up for sure!!
