200905291153.jpg Check out this amazing set journal from the New Moon shoot in Italy by Camilla . Not only is the journal an intriguing look at the process of two days of filming in Montepulciano Italy, but Camilla’s writing style really takes you straight into the scene–SPOILERS

And so this morning I see everything. I now understand how they are doing this scene. It is not like a festival, it is really a religious procession to honor St Marcus. All the 1300 participants will follow the canopied Saint-vanquishing -the -vampire statue till the Cathedral entrance. All the faithful have red mantles, and the historical personages in the procession are dressed in red too. There is plenty of banners and religious symbols and props carried around. Impressive. The Director tells the extras that they have to focus on the Cathedral, not looking at the fountain at all, they must look ecstatic and wave small red flags. When Bella enters the square they must not make it easy for her, she has to struggle, poor girl. I cannot see her though, too many red mantles.

    I am amazed by Chris...really. I mean I have so much faith for this movie. He is just so professional and he makes you really trust him.

    I hope that he gets to do Breaking dawn! That would be awesome.

    That's exactly what I was thinking about. It looks like New Moon is living up to our expectations and Chris so far is doing such a wonderful job in making all us satisfied. Lots of kissing scene, yeah, baby! We need to feel the love between Edward and Bella and it looks like Chris has captured that emotions. We'll see the final verdict once New Moon hits theater in November. But if it turns out great, we should send a petition to Summit to have Chris do the Breaking Dawn. Oh boy, with this scene that we saw today from ETonline and the previous days of kissing scenes in Italy *hot baby*, how intense would the bedroom scenes be in BD and yeah, the skinny dipping too *meow*. *Giggling really hard that I almost choked to death* Help me! Ambulance please! Call 911! Hahaha just kidding. I think I'm losing my mind now. . .

    Yeah, Chris gives a vibe..a good vibe about New Moon. And god yes, lots of passion. I am so glad they added that kiss in "Volterra" (btw we maybe have a winner for the best kiss for the next year :D). Chris really seems professional and respectful to the story. Of course you're right, we still have to see if it's good, but I have a feeling it is.
    Yeah, if it all turns out great I would love for him to return. I would love that, I know why he couldn't do Eclipse, but I hope they will manage to get him for BD. Those Isle Esme scenes HAVE to be done well!
    Don't worry my mind was lost looong time ago....few days ago when those Edward Volterra scenes appeared the last part of my sanity just disappeared hahaha.

    He's GOT to be better than Hardwicke was. She destroyed "Twilight" IMO. Nothing was mentioned regarding Carlisle's background, Bella's character was well... "out of character" in many area's, Edward's character never told her he loved her when in the book he told her what, probably 10 times, especially when she was in the ballet studio & he thought she was dying, nor did she tell him, Charlie's liking of the Cullen's & appreciation of Dr. Cullen was never once conveed as it should have been, I could go on, but anyway.... i really hope your right, i hope he does "New Moon" the way it should be done, i understand that some things have to be changed a bit for time & whatnot but.. "Twilight" was just, chopped to death on screen. :( Sooooooooo sad.
    Can't wait for New Moon & i enjoyed the 15 second clip from after her horrid b'day party.

    i'm totally tearing up right now... and just after i put on full eye liner and mascara .............. it really burns....... yeah... thats exactly what i thought, but i kinda have this funny idea for a blooper, for this scene she should know what he is thinking and just as he goes to kiss her she should slap him in the back of the head and say," what the he!! you are not leaving me. Bottom line!"

    Has to be that scene. It matches the book perfectly. The only difference is it's not in her room. I wonder if they will show that he stays the night almost every night, or if they'll leave that out again?
  • It makes sense though. cause the scene in the book, where he was going to just go home "not tonight, bella" but then she says its her birthday, so she wants him to stay over! And that's outside her house in the car, when Charlie is waiting up. It has to be that scene. so estatic!!

    Just look at "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", there are trailers, clips and tv spot's...so I hope we'll have the same for New Moon. Aaaand they're going to film Eclipse in August, so we'll have reports from the set also. Sweeet!

    I was reading an extras twitter page and she was saying that after the first day alot of the italian extras were complaining and saying they weren't coming back the next day because they were there for to long and sure enough alot of them didn't show the next day. I was like OMG!! what is wrong with these people!! I would stand there in that damn red cloak for days on end just to have been there and involved and see that!!

    Oh, so they think Kristen won't make it to MTV awards because the filming schedule changed? I hope she does.

    And yeah, I've heard people complaining about stupid things like Rob not stopping to talk to them and sign things and they were in the sun. I don't get it how can they be so thick? He is there to WORK, they have limited time in Montepulciano, they have to be fast and effective. They can't close a city for a week so their time there is very limited. And then they make it even HARDER for them to film it.....I guess they aren't fans because if they were it would be clear to them.

    Yes, exactly. And he is doing a very tough and emotional scene, you can't just jump from one emotion to another...he can't just run from filming all happy and bubbly and take photos with people. I would rather they leave him alone so he can prepare for that scene and let him do his job. We all want a movie that looks good!

I would start reading and it would be dark out and next thing I know it's light out again and my husband is getting up to go to work!!lol

    LOL!! i don't have a problem with the seating arrangement, yes it would be nice for them all to sit together but the way i see it is the front row obviously can't fit everyone, they have to put the biggest stars up front, and so many other stars other than the twilight cast have to be accounted for, as twilight was about bella and edward i think it's natural for rob and kristen to sit up front, taylor has yet to reach international stardom, i'm sure after newmoon comes out he'll be right up there with them next year :)

    Ummm it's ok, i'd read it again but nowhere near as good as WA, it hasn't got as good a story line and some bits are a little cheesy, he's a dominator and she's a submissive so there's some kinky stuff in it, i'd stick with jane at the mo, a good one i read OE is resisting edward, and it's sequel seducing edward but that hasn't finished yet, so i'd start with those as they are better :)

    Camilla did a great job of making me feel like I was there! I really enjoyed reading her account of what took place on set. I hope to be lucky like her one day and get to be on set and write about my experience...this is seriously a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
