Wow, Kristen looked incredible in the trailer and accepting the award. Don't laugh that she dropped the popcorn. 1. It's slippery from the butter. 2. She got back from Italy yesturday and was playing the role of Bella Swan, klutz extraordinaire.

i totally agree...it was such a bella moment!! i live in ireland so I wouldn't have been able 2 watch the awards until 2nite but i found live streaming of it on the internet and stayed up til 4am....im sooooooo tired but it was totally worth it :D p.s. rob and kristen r such teases i really thot they were gona kiss, love them!!

She looked a little bit awkward but i guess she's just really shy. it's obvious she doesn't feel confortable being into the spotlight. I almost died when i thought they were gonna kiss and then they didn't.... It was funny when she droped the award!! the trailer was awesome even if i was expecting more scenes in it. One thing that struck me is that Kristen and Nikki used to be best friends and make public appearences together holding hands....here they are like 2 yards apart! it's weird!!! what happened? lol kristen looks way closer to Ashleigh now.

i am speechless with this trailer, i won't say anything else.
kristen u kill me, first i was with my mouth open when u won best kiss(it was obvious) and was thinking are they really going to do it and not nothing happens, then u drop the award i was laughing(rob was too of course and it was so bella).
we won almost everything, paramore loosed(which sucks) and cam loosed(well nobody could take that award from heith ledger) other than that it was awesome.

I've never loved a movie like this. This experience of liking and loving a book/movie is one of those I can share to my future kids. NEwmoon trailer is soo exciting and once again, I fell inlove with it. No words...just love, admiration and excitement I'm feeling right now...I love Kristen, I love ROb. I don't care if they will not be together in real life. It's enough for me that they are able to touch my heart by sharing their wonderful talents. My gratitude to them! I'm so emotional right now my twilight mates. Don't laugh at me guys...I'm not crazy...I'm just being human... I am so happy they won most of the awards tonight. The higlight of the night is probably the bella in Kristen tonight. Oh boy that was just soo sureal! That moment lifted my anxiousness for Kristen. The whole time Kristen is up on stage I get nervous for her. I know she is not comfortable being on stage like that but she did try to be normal and I'm happy that she made it through with flying colors! The accidental falling of the golden pop corn was just great! And ROb's humorous smile when it happen sum it up into a big wow for me!!! I love them all.

I can't thank them enough for making me this happy. This particular period in my life will never be forgotten. I am imprisoning it in my heart in my entire lifetime so they live with me now and forever...

Dropping the award a true Bella Swan moment. I cannot stop watching the teaser trailer, New Moon is going to not just kick the first movies butt but as as stand alone movie everyone is going to love, just by the tease it has got it all, romance, suspense, and hopefully a little comedy.

Ok guys stop freaking out. The scene where she's in the meadow with Laurent and the scene with Jacob are 2 completely different scenes meshed together. If you look closely she has a back pack on with Laurent and doesn't with Jacob. I believe the scene with Jacob is when Paul and him got into it after telling Bella he's a wolf and she says to him run Jake or watch out Jake. It's not right after each other. The movie will be fine and the trailer was awesome.

Yeah you're right. It was at Sam and Emily''s house I think where they had the meeting. I am thinking though for the scene it was either a dream scene we don't know about OR it was outside when Paul and Jacob got into it. That's what I think, but who knows it could be something that they just shot for the fun of it too. It may never end up in the movie by the time the editors get to it.

that's true. we never know until the movie. when they show trailers, not all the scenes we see ends up in the movie. they'll prob put in dvd deleted scenes.

Yeah the first time I watched the trailer I was like wth? Then I realized that she didn't have her yellow packback on when she was running towards Jacob .. but she did when she was w/ Laurent. Plus when she was w/ Laurent she was clearly at the meadow .. but in the scene w/ Jacob they were near his house.

I think that is the part (with Jake) when Paul is coming at Bella and Jacob "morphs on the fly". Because if you remember in that part of New Moon. Emby and Quil made a point of saying how much of a natural Jake was because he can morph like that ....

The only shot that looked genuine of kristen was the part where she asks edward to kiss her. THATS IT! she looked so fake in all the other shots!! unbelievable.. i really hope the rest of the movie is not like that..

As for robert, there was a few scenes which made me cringe but i loved the part where he says "this is the last time youll see me" i think that was his best moment in that clip... so im pretty happy with him..

Hey twilightx3... good call!!!! I was bummed about that too and I watched it several times after you mentioned the clothes weren't the same. With Laurent she also had the backpack and when she yelled RUN she didn't, plus the coat was different.... good call.

I was extremely pleased with everything except Jacob as the wolf. He isn't huge. Stephenie had him as large a horse and his fur was russet colored...not with grey in it and a normal size wolf..... I also noticed they were dressed for her party at Edward's house when he said he'd die without her... they were suppose to be a her house watching Romeo & Juliet...

I hope they don't alter too much more of the story... I'm worried that they took out the marriage proposal... that's key to the next two books....

i dont think jacob as a wolf is as it should be either but he doesnt look like a normal wolf either...

Yeah, I agree, Catherine went way overboard with Twilight, she was too focused on the visual artistic side and not with the basics and script.

I noticed the lighting looks more normal in this one. Catherine had everything with that overlayed color.... I just hope they keep to the book as much as possible... I was disappointed in Twilight that so much of their "getting to know you" (blood typing, discussions, movie in class) wasn't in the movie.

But I am overall excited for the movie. I think it will be good. I am just a little worried since I'm such a fan of the books....

Yeah, good pick up, I noticed it too. Somehow, they've put Edward saying goodbye in his Bellas 'birthday' jacket. He would not have worn that to school, when it was after school he said goodbye. I'm racking my brain thinking how they've put that part together. All I'm thinking is that after Bellas birthday, Edward is so upset he doesn't go home. So hence he's still in his 'jacket'.

I didn't think he was attacking Laurent either. Bella's outfit was different.

If you pay attention to Bella's clothes. she's wearing a complete different outfit when she yells for jake to run then when she's with laurent. i think the setting just looked familiar.

But the part where she yells for him to run, doesn't she have a dream about that after she finds out the truth about jake? i'm pretty sure she does. so thats what i think that is. it just fit too perfectly.

Loved it! At first I thought that the laurent and jake scene was together, but then everyones saying the clothes are different.. But even if it was together i think that would be a great way to transition from a long book to a shorter movie.. If Bella found out that way instead of the drawn out story to get to the point of finding out about jake (which i happen to love.. for the book). if she saw him transform like that, i think that would be pretty cool. Not really keeping to the story, but did we really expect them to keep exactly to the story when they had to shorten it for a movie? i didnt.

you know the official, official trailer is gonna be WAY better because this was made before all the filming in Italy...and i'm sure they will add all that footage in making it WAY more exciting than this. kinda disappointed they rushed a first trailer without even finishing filming. the wolf transformation was really lame. the footage of the wolf transformation in the fan-made trailers (wherever it came from) was what they should have done...using real wolves. it was blase.

However, I noticed that in the analysis they don't take into account that Bella is wearing two different outfits between Laurent scene and Jacob leaping over her. Yeah!!! I loved the trailer the first time but the more I watched it the more I loved it. The wolf transformation is just like Stephenie described it, the fur billowing from them in mid air like that. As for the meadow scene I understand why people are freaking out, you're right it does look like the Laurent scene takes place at Jacob's house, but take my sister's advice. You see I was upset by that too until I watched it again and I saw that the meadow scene does still take place in the meadow and NOT Jake's house. Watch, her clothes change and with Laurent she has a yellow backpack whereas when she yells "Jake run" the backpack disappears. It is NOT the same scene just some clever editing to make it look like the same, Summit probably wanted to make it more exciting that way.


I loved the acting, the clip of Bella curled in the forest looked so much like my favorite poster that I actually screamed!!! I think Kristen is doing a good job, remember she didn't actually cry when Edward left her in the book but instead just slipped into a catatonic state just lying there letting the rain fall onto her. The birthday scene was great (though I've never had a paper cut that actually made me spill blood on the carpet...ah well)

The transformation scene as I said is like how I pictured it but I will admit that it is obviously CGI, I was hoping for better graphics but then everyone here has to remember this is all a ROUGHT CUT! They have BARELY started Post Production, very little editing and enhancement has happened yet so they still have time to clean things up and make things flow better.


All in all, well done. I'm not a purist when it comes to book to movie scripts so as long as the essence of the book is maintained then I'm happy. So far I'm estactic.

I'm with you, NA, and I'm very impressed with almost all of the changes that were apparent in this trailer for New Moon as opposed to Twilight.

But I say almost because I still don't care for the wig that Jackson Rathbone has to wear for Jasper's character. His role in this 2nd installment of the saga is pivotal and to have to see him running towards Bella with that hair (when she got the papercut) truly made me cringe. He's such a handsome and talented actor and to see that very little attention was taken to keep him just as handsome for Jasper's role really hurts.

I really hope that this IS just a rough cut and that they do more to enhance Jasper's look in the movie.

I am so looking forward to seeing the movie in November!!!

remember in the book hoe Jacob was having growth spruts? In every scene he was getting bigger and taller as the sequels went from New Moon to Eclipse to Breaking Dawn. In this book he just became a wolf so he's not that huge. But i think in Breaking Dawn when they are facing the Volturi he will be larger because of the constant growth spruts.

I'm right there with ya. I'm just glad to be able to see Edward in any shape, form or size. New Moon will be 10 times better than Twilight...then again, I bet Eclipse will be 10 times better than New Moon. I'm really sad that Kristen never quite seems to be into her character. To me she does not come across as being crippling in love with Edward. Anyone else feel that too?? Anyone know when 'Midnight Sun' is coming out?? I think it will be awsome. They should make that book into a movie. No doubt it would be better told from Edward's point of view.

I know I'll probably get shunned for this, but I am glad to see some better directing quality. The first film, while I love it, and don't know how many times I have seen it, was slightly less than par. This trailer has me excited for the next film. There seems to be more depth, better acting, and more eloquent photography.....so far.

OK, so having watched the trailer now an average of 87 times, I've grown to love it. Kristen depicted Bella perfectly. The pained, heavy breathing when Edward leaves her, the startled, but longing expression when she sees Laurent and the fear and horrified face when Jasper lunges at her. I think at first, her acting seems awful only because we've all got different images in our minds how the scenes would go...And also because her voice is all one note throughout the whole film (which is annoying). But truthfully; Kristen nailed Bella perfectly. And the whole movie, in November, is going to be that much better, once all the depression scenes are added in. Just remember this is only 2 minutes out of a 2 hour film. And Rob got Edward down perfectly too. When she tells him to kiss her at the beginning of the clip, you can see how horrified and embarrassed he is after the party. Anybody else think that Kristen didn't put enough into the kiss? And when he leaves her in the forest (god i hope Chris Weitz doesn't forget "IT WILL BE AS IF I NEVER EXISTED"!), you can see how hurt he is, but he puts on a masked, calm face so Bella doesn't go after him...JUST as Stephenie wrote it in the book.
SO, to all the people who are skeptical about the trailer, just remember how much more they've left out for the actual movie. And every person is dedicated to remaining faithful to the book, so they'll put a lot into their roles and I'm more than positive that the whole movie is going to be mind-blowingly brilliant. HOW HOT IS EDWARD WHEN HE PUSHES JASPER?!! I was like DAYYMEEE Rob, you can throw me around any day lol

I agree with everything you said. From Kristen's acting, to IT WILL BE AS IF I NEVER EXISTED, (that was my 1st though when I saw that part; they HAVE to put that line in) to how damn sexy Rob was when he threw Jackson across the room.

OMG I dvr'd it i get to watch it over and over and over!!!!...Loved Loved Loved the trailer. Even though the Bella seeing Jacob phase wasn't how it was in the book. I think you're wrong about acting. Kristen looked great. I think the film will be even better when we see the whole thing not just different parts combined together and then you'll see Kristen's acting. Maybe there were tears, but the trailer didn't show it.

But remember in the book he's hiding his emotions to not seem weak and valuanerble to her. She believes him because he's not acting emotional about it and ultimatly just gives up because she knows she can't convince him to stay.

She was never supposed to cry at that part. She only cried when her mom came and her parents tried to get her to move to Jacksonville with her mom. Even then it dooesn't go into detail about the scene because it's Charlie just explaing to Alice what happened after they left.

If people are real true TwiHard FANS they will not have anything negative to say. It's a lot better than Twilight so far and they can not possibly incorporate everything from the book onto the screen.

soooo agree with you here. she looks like shocked but doesn't cry. the way she does in the book. she looks rejected. you can see the pain in her eyes but she doesn't cry. i saw it and started to cry of how real it looked. it was great. better than twilight. people should be thankful this movie will be better and stop complaining so much.

ome finally! i was going to say exactly that! rob was brilliant in twilight, why couldn't he have put maybe a teensy bit more into the break up scene. like he says " it will be as if i never existed" and that line is crucial to the rest of the book! but i suppose they'll put that in later, in the full movie. and kristen's acting......jeez, i just skip over the parts that she was in with the trailer because it litteraly looks like she's reading of a script throughout the scenes.

I have to admit, it was brilliant compared to twilight, and that's all we can really assess based on a simple 2 minute trailer. I can assure everyone who is disapointed THAT THEY SAVED THE BEST SCENES FOR THE FILME. honestly, i think they just added these mediocre ones because they want us to build THE SUSPENSE.
truthfully, acting aside, it was a BRILLIANT TRAILER and i'm so excited for the movie!! and 1:25 when we see Jacob...HOTT!

I agree, Majnona. I am a twi-hard fan but the acting was poor. It was as if they were standing around and lazily reading off the script --only rehearsing. They only actor I saw put some heart into it was T. Lautner with his sprint and leap. B-day scene disappointed me; however, I did love the Edward-Jasper scene. The acting was poor but the action was awesome. But hey, I know that they were in a rush to put something together for the first preview, hopefully the finished product will be much better.

I think at that part they were trying to show her state of shock and how she was already disconnecting from everything.

A quick comment to those guys that mention the wolf not being scary at all.. In the book, the wolves are described as wolves the size of horses - with human eyes. Which is exactly what Chris Weitz has given us.
The wolves aren't supposed to actually look scary, they're just supposed to be really big wolves.

ok i have been thinking about what to say about this magnificent trailer of this movie and all i can think of is to tell you what happened when i saw this well first i was cussing that andy dude for the fake one although it was humerous i have to say but you dont tease twilighters am i right? ok when the trailer premiered i felt like my heart was going to explode i couldnt talk or move i was so excited and then when jacob did his transformation i squiled and scared my mom and husband then i just sat there unable to move for about 5 minutes my family thought i was having a breakdown lol. I have to say i really wish they would get the movie finished and release it alot sooner. everything looked awesome i think when kristen was lying on her side her face looked perfect. the party the goodbye the lauraent and the jacob and we havent seen everything yet. i am so excited i love you guys for knowing how i feel and sharing all my excitement. oh and in my opion when bella is like jake run!!!! is that not the dream she has ? anyways i think i am finally going to get some sleep i love you guys.

im just as excited that the trailer finally came out today as everyone else but i'm a little disappointed in the some of the elements that aren't the same.

the biggest one that stood out was the color of the movie, twilight had like a blue filter tint throughout the whole movie that complimented the gloominess of Forks, the mysteriousness of the theme, and the paleness of the vampire skin. i'm disappointed that the Cullens look tan in this trailer, they're supposed to be pale vampires!

also, wolf-jacob looks like it could be out of a video game. i'm hoping that it's just because post-production has barley begun and they rushed through the special effects to get the trailer out.

and Bella...she looks too different. she's supposed to be plain "daughter of a half albino" but she looks totally different from the first movie, she is tan! she has highlights in her hair, its not the same beautiful one-toned brown, her hair-cut is kind of choppy, not at all the single layer, draws-no-attention, simple cut she had in the first film, and she is wearing way more makeup. i figured they would have kept her hair and makeup the same plain until Breaking Dawn where she transforms into a super-modelesque beauty.

i'm just disappointed that already Chris Weitz has changed so much about the actual film (not story) already in such obvious ways. i just hope its the trailer thats disappointing, not the film itself. Catherine should have directed, it would have been as beautiful as the first.

I think the wolf is a bit too cartoony and Laurents eyes are too much,they looked bettter in Twilight.I also think the vampires aren't white enough...and Bella has too much make-up in some scenes.Oh ....and Alice saying ''it's time...it's time'' is too faked it's not normal....notgood acting

hey, i didn't read all the comments, so i don't know if this already came up. but did you notice that the lighting is different? the first movie was so grey, no bright colours etc, but in this one there seems to be more colour, you know :D what i mean is that i think the first one was like "cold colours" and this one is "warm colours". like the forest scenes, in this one the green is GREENER than it was in twilight. did anyone understand this :D ? i just had to give my two cents. :)

I do as well. Seeing the trailer the first time around I was a bit disappointed. I miss the blue/green hue. Watching it again and again, I got over it. I do know with the blue hue, they look move vampy...I'll kind of miss that.

oh i totally agree with you! i actually really liked the blue hue. it gave the movie a unique look and it helped the look of the vampires.. gave them more contrast.. so far in this trailer, the vamps dont have a "vampesque" if u know what i mean. They look just like regular humans! no distinction...

1= trailer was great...laurent acting hands down perfect; edward's great too... action was greater than twilight..graphics cool..the vamps are pale enough; it;s just due to the lightening in the house that they look that way

2= kristen in the meadow great..bella doesn't cry when he's leaving her in the book; she's shock and numb.. and edward face "was wipe clean of emotion"..edward isn't emotional in this part; but more like he's cold hearted and even bella says "he stared back coldly"...and bella doesn't cry when he leaves; she tires to find him and run after him and even when she falls and stays on the ground; she does'nt cry..she's numb....atleast we see some emotion in kristen in the meadow and so no; her acting isn't blah..read the chapter again people..people need to re-read if they have to and stop critizing her because she is good...

3= yes ok; so jake wolf isn't as big as a horse; but they might re-do it for the final..this stuff is all in post-production; so chillax people...

4=vamps clothes and house is great....i dont have a problem and some people want the house from twilight..shaking my head... (they can't make everyone satisfied)....i like this house because u actually see the stairs as in bella POV in BD and it will come in handy if they film BD...the party scene is perfect....

5=only problem i can see in this trailer and agree with others is bella saying jake run and he changes...this brings me back to my saying and like other's said that this is just a teaser trailer and they will release a better new one...i mean; it makes sense because in order for bella to say that; something has to occur to let her know that he is a wolf and remember when she is with laurent= no backpack..she yells to jake and we see a back-pack...this is one huge evidence that they are just putting scenes/clips togeher to not make us wait long and this is not the final trailer....also why don't we see the volturi in the trailer and edward in italy if this is the real and final trailer?...

chillax; and relax because the real trailer should be a little longer and should include all the pivital moments in the movie like the volturi and stuff....

Totally agree! Besides... Movie trailers are not intended to show you the whole plot of a movie! That would suck if you know everything that's gonna happen... SO NOT TRUE!!!! im am deathly ill with twilight craze.. but I have shared some some opinions above on what would make a better movie for me personally.

I agree, it is just a trailer.
I think the trailer it self could have been better, but as I said before they made it for the movie awards because it is a big promotion. Only with that they saved a lot of money from promotion world wide....I mean it will be seen all over the world. So they rushed, but I see people are impressed so who cares it got attention.
And they finished filming just a few days ago. Yes, some of those scenes are done a while ago...but still there's a lot to be done with this movie. I still think they have to do a lot of editing.
I am sure that the next trailer will be better just because it will take them longer to make it and it will include more scenes.

I loved that Jasper/Edward collision, I think that Edward pushing Jasper is the hottest thing ever haha, I loved Laurent (his eyes are awesome), morphing Jake.....and I can't wait for them to put that reunion in Italy! I hope they'll release the next trailer in August :D

the scene with laurent and bells.....holy crap! LOVE it and then bella running yelling to jacob. the wolf reminds me of narnia or the golden compass. love it!!!!!!

Yes, I do agree with that. Again, I think I just had such a vivid image in my mind of what I wanted it to look like, I was just startled when Shrek-like cartoony wolf replaced Jake.

I knoooow, I had an image in my mind...and I know that when ever that happens you get disappointed,but I watched the trailer well more that 10 times and it's kinda growing on me..I mean the wolf haha....I have chils down my spine when Bella shouts "Jacob run" and he morphs while juping over her...it is a VERY good idea.
Oh and Edward throwing Jasper on the piano, the stunts are good this time, I actually believed he could do that.
I didn't sleep all night it's almost 6 in the morning and I don't think I can sleep at all.....*goes to watch the trailer again* lol

I can understand everyone being pissed about KStew's obvious lack of tears. It pissed me off. I'm hoping that the scene they show is when she goes into shock and is about to be found in the woods.
About the wolf morphing at Jake's house.... I don't think it's that bad of a change. It would make the story easier to follow for people who have only seen the movies because if I remember correctly the meadow in the movie was right by Forks High. Laurant couldn't really be hunting there... And also... Bella has a backpack on only part of the time. They might have just editted it funny? I dunno.
Overall, I LOVED THE PARTY SCENE!! Jasper's face, and then the way he's thrown into the piano. And not a buttload of blood like other vamp movies. Just a few drops. Brilliantly done!! I gasped out loud.
And the morph was just....... GAHHH!!! I was so scared they were going to make him look more like a wolf man than a shape shifter. He was great!!!! And Taylor without his shirt made me feel like a child molester. hahaha.

I cried and my parents are staring over at me going "Sweetie! Why are you crying!?" and I said "*sniff* It's just...just Twilight..." I think they got mad at me because I was crying for NEW MOON and not for a credible reason.

None the less, this was awesome and I wish they would've put Bella's cliff jump in it...

I was amazed to tears people! TEARS! Not a lot of things make me cry from emotion, and a TRAILER for TWILIGHT made me cry!

ok now remember this is only the FIRST trailer! usually they have like 3 trailers before the movie comes out and then a handfull of tv spots, so the cliff dive might be in another one.

Honestly, I'm a huge twilight fan, but I feel like this trailer does no justice to the book.
Did anyone else notice that Edward wasn't pale enough comparing to Twilight? His hair is shorter and less spiky. :/ Also I did not imagine Jacob turning into a wolf like that. And when Stephanie described the wolves, she described them as huge much bigger than regular wolves. So, in the trailer they look like regular wolves to me. Also, i enjoyed the dim blue-gray effects done in the first movie, but the second one looks completely different. This trailer disappoints me, but I do like some parts of it. Does anyone else seems dissatisfied? Or am I only looking towards the negative things and am not open to change? Opinions, help?

I totally agree with you - there are some major issues with this trailer. Jacob as the wolf is nowhere near big and scary enough, I almost laughed he looked like a cuddly puppy and much too cartoonish, but this is something that they can fix (hopefully) in post production.

Um... since when does Edward kiss Bella goodbye in the forest when he is leaving??? I know it is really hard to tell the whole scene from the trailer, but from what we got it seems that he tells her that he doesn't want her to be in danger from him and his family. Which of course we all know is his real reason, having read the book, but Bella believes in the book that he leaves because he doesn't want her anymore. I hope they don't stuff that scene up too much, it's pretty pivotal to the rest of the plot...

Sorry, but the more I watch Kristen Stewart as Bella, the more she annoys me. She just has no emotional range. She never really looks terrified or hysterical, or depressed or happy. She often speaks in a monotone. Not at all how I imagine Bella when reading the book. Very frustrating.

And I know that it wasn't in the trailer, but what's the go with the rumours about them changing the ending, so that Edward doesn't offer her the marriage ultimatum??? Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but isn't that bit just a little um, I dunno, ESSENTIAL to the plot of Eclipse???

I know I sound like a massive whinger, and don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE Twilight fan, but I have to say, Twilight was made on a really tiny budget, and I think that they did an awesome job with what they had (not that there weren't some things that could have been improved on, but overall it captured the feel of the book quite well). If they stuff up New Moon with a much larger budget then I will be majorly pissed...

It's two different scenes. When she's with Laurent she's got a grey sweater and a yellow backpack. Then she's wearing a brown jacket when Jabob transforms into a werewolf. So it's definitely two different scenes. I just want to know what scene it is where she runs to Jacob and he transforms right in front of her???
