This is the official New Moon site in my opinion, this one has been giving us information for months, that one you can get a widget come on now.

I see your POV. It took them long enough and there ain't much there but the widget is a lil' pimped out, haha. I like how you can send custom message e-cards with it, and I can't wait till they add the New Moon teaser trailers on the widget 'video' tab, but they better add my wolf boys soon on the 'photos' tab!!!

Okay in all fairness they will have a great site up with new and original things, just love this one and have really grown to like the people that visit here too.

Thanks for the kind words. =) I think it's fine what official sites do, serving as a glitzy interactive brochure for the movie that serves as a primer for someone who's not familiar with the film, but I definitely think there is a place for fan sites like mine as well, especially in the "Web 2.0" world we live in. It's a symbiotic relationship, IMO, and I think Summit understands this by reaching out to fan sites.

But it's the official site. Official sites aren't fan sites. Of course they're not going to show paparazzi pictures and fan art. That's not the point of an official site. They'll have top quality pictures and trailers. They're promoting the movie, not pandering to every whim of tweens and teenagers.

The official site is gorgeous, but it's also a flash blob that you can't link to direct features of, only the main page. It's more of an interactive flash brochure than anything, which seems to be the norm for the sparkle & dazzle of movie websites nowadays that don't feel the need to engage readers in a "Web 2.0" way.

It's a nice site. I like to go to many sites to find news, and things. But I've been coming to this one for a long time now. This site is great, and fast with news.

the following reasons explain why i choose newmoonmovie.org:

1. over the past months it has been very dedicated in providing everyone with info on the progress of the movie and all the awesome upcoming twilight/new moon related events.

2. i can actually view this site. the "official" site turns up as just a black page with nothing on it......

3. www.newmoonmovie.org is pretty awesome :D
