Eagle Pictures, the distributors of New Moon in Italy, have just sent out a press release confirming a lot of what we know about the filming schedule and details in Montepulciano. Here’s an English translation of the original–

they are only doing EXTERNAL shots in italy…all the interior shots were already filmed. That's why Aro and Alec and others are not present.

Yeah, it's kind of odd that Micheal Sheen isn't on that list. I am so curious to see his “look” as Aro and what he will do with his voice. I don't know why but I always pictures Aro's voice when I was reading as being similar to Gary Oldman's in Bram Stoker's Dracula.

There is no reason for Michael Sheen to be there, this is the list of characters I thought it would be as they are the only ones that were outside. When they met the rest of the Volturi that all happened inside and I presume they filmed all that in Vancouver. I was surprised when reports said Michael Sheen would be in Italy, because that would have meant they had rewritten those scenes to have Aro outside.

Why no pics of Rob in Italy yet? Maybe Kristen is already there and they're having a reunion! I mean she's had to watch Rob spreading his hotness all over Cannes this week and she must be gagging for it, wonder if she'll make him wear his tux for her? I know I wouldn't be letting him out of the hotel room any time soon.
Of course I say this all tongue in cheek, I have absolutely no idea if they are having any kind of relationship.
