The San Francisco Chronicle has a brief new interview with New Moon star Robert Pattinson for his new film Little Ashes. On New Moon, he says–

“It’s strange because it already feels much more of a slick machine,” Pattinson says of the film, which is being directed by Chris Weitz. “The first one we had such a young cast. Everybody was friends. It was fun. There was nothing like what it is now. Now there are people waiting outside the hotels all the time. We have security. It’s crazy.”

VanCityAllie has another great report from the set of New Moon–this time revealing a bit of a mystery–why is Bella Swan on the back of a motorcycle–not dirtbike–with someone other than Jacob Black? She says–

Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has been doing her own stunts all night on the back of a motorcycle from various angles. These special effects look pretty cool for New Moon. However, in the book, Bella only rides on the dirtbikes with Jacob. And let me assure you, Taylor Lautner was not there and these were not dirtbikes.

My best guess? They changed the movie a bit so that Bella does something rash to see Edward’s apparition… she rides on a motorcycle with one of the gang members.

Check it out for yourself. In the last cut, you can hear her say “Stop! Stop!” as part of her lines for that scene.

As New Moon’s Kristen Stewart left the last day of filming on the theater set, she stopped to say hello and sign autographs for some appreciative fans waiting outside as she headed back to her hotel.

New Moon star Ashley Greene has revealed that filming for the movie is halfday done, and she’s looking forward to her time in Italy with a Porsche:

“We’re going to Italy at the end of May,” Ashley told Access Hollywood when we caught up with her recently at an event for DonateMyDress.org. “I think we’re only there for five days, but I’m super excited. I haven’t been before, so it’s going to be really fun!”

Ashley revealed to Access that she’s been able to get behind the wheel of some of the cars that will be featured in film.

“I haven’t driven the Porschse yet. We weren’t sure if they were going to let me it or not,” she told Access. “But, they let me drive a Mercedes in a scene that we did last week.”

Robert Rodriguez, director of Shark Boy & Lava Girl and Sin City, knew from the start that New Moon star Taylor Lautner was destined for great things–

Rodriguez says he isn’t at all surprised to see the now 17-year-old Lautner becoming a household name. He knew the young star possessed that “it” quality four years ago. “He was the first actor we saw for ‘Sharkboy and Lavagirl’ and we picked him right off,” he explained to MTV News at the “Star Trek” premiere in Los Angeles. “He was the first actor who came in, and we knew he was the guy.”

It was Lautner’s natural charisma that won over the “Sin City” director. “He had so much personality,” he said. “[He's] athletic [and] smart.”

Robert Pattinson offers his thoughts on the character he plays in his newly released film How to Be.

The film tells the story of Art, played by Rob, who is an aspiring singer-songwriter who has just been dumped and moves back home to live with his parents. He uses his inheritance to hire a therapist from Canada to come to England and be his “life coach.”

The role draws upon Rob’s real-life love of music, and he even contributed three songs to the film’s soundtrack.
