According to Austin, TX radio DJ Bobby Bones who has a role in Bandslam, an upcoming film from New Moon studio Summit, the full-length trailer for New Moon will premiere before Bandslam. Bandslam is a fish-out-of-water high school story set for release on August 14th–

The music oriented film BANDSLAM tells the story of Will Burton (Aiken), whose life changes dramatically when he is transplanted to a new school where rock-n-roll rules the scene. Perpetually a misfit, Will strikes up a friendship with like-minded outsider Sam (Hudgens). They are both surprised when the school’s “it” girl, Charlotte (Michalka) recruits Will to help her assemble a band to compete in the tri-state battle of the bands.

The timing seems about right, and the demographics for this movie seem to match fairly well with Twilight, too. Let’s hope we won’t have to wait any longer than August for the full trailer!

The New Mexico paper The Daily Times has a really sweet article just in time for Mother’s Day about the close bonds people of all types–but particurly moms–have found within the world of Twilight. The article focuses on the excellent TwilightMoms website, and also notes that family bonds are strengthened with common interest in Twilight–

This entire family is swept up in the world that is “Twilight,” yet there are other stories similar to theirs, according to Hansen. She said “Twilight” continues to bring people together.

“It’s brought me and my sisters closer together. It’s brought mothers and sons closer together,” she said.

“Twilight” also is multi-generational, appealing to people of all ages.

“The older generation and the teenage generation, we’re able to relate on a different level,” Hansen said. “It’s more than this awesome vampire book that we’re all obsessed with. It opened up lines of communication between all different people.”

Robert Pattinson was spotted this afternoon in Venice, CA leaving a studio with an unmarked CD and script. Also spotted leaving the same studio today was actress Emmy Rossum. Check out all 15 pics over at Just Jared Jr.

I did some investigating and it looks like the casting agency noted in the background– Colbert / Mento–is the group responsible for casting Robert Pattinson’s new Summit film Remember Me, previously known as Memoirs.

Vancity Allie has a great report of her experience seeing some of the New Moon cast at the Blue Water party last night, as well as castmembers around town earlier in the day. Interestingly, there were quite a few large manuscript-looking items given out–

I saw a couple cast members holding thick manuscripts, including Rob, so I’m PRETTY sure they were possibly giving out Eclipse scripts (with David Slade, Stephenie and Melissa doesn’t it seem possible?). How cool is that?

Michael Sheen has a couple of fun new tweets–in one he reveals that the entire Volturi crew is having their official photoshoot for promotional pictures:

Check out this mockup of the New Moon wolf pack tattoo, based on the picture of the wolf pack that was released in April. A friend of TwiFans made this illustration in Photoshop as a best guess of what the finished tattoo looks like up close.

I’m definitely seeing a few things like you might in a Rorschach inkblot from this illustration. Anyone else see the head-on face of a wolf, with the nose at the bottom and eyes on either side at the top? How about two symmetric wolves sitting on their hind legs in profile, facing each other while howling, with their mouths meeting at the top center?
