Director Chris Weitz and others involved in the production of New Moon gave a press conference in Montepulciano, Italy yesterday. Also present were producers Bill Bannerman and Wyck Godffrey as well as the Mayor of Montepulciano. TwilightItalia was there and has this to report as to what they said–
“We love both of Volterra and Montepulciano, as well as throughout Tuscany. Of course the book by Stephenie Meyer talks about Volterra, but as always in the cinema, we had to take into account some logistical needs that we did try different location also ended up deciding to run in Montepulciano. We hope to be able to really do justice to both Volterra that in Montepulciano “
As to why Chris Weitz chose Montepulciano over Volterra,
Chris Weitz said that he opted for a need for symmetry and photography. It also took the occasion to say that both cities are beautiful. He added that if there is someone to “blame” for this decision then that’s him because he was a very strong wish of the square instead of Montepulciano to Volterra. And I tell you my impression when he spoke you could see clearly that he has done a very professional choice based on that of which in his view, the film needed to make up.
TwilightItalia says they’ll have the full video later this week. You can view more of their report at the machine translated version of the original page.

New Moon star Robert Pattinson’s upcoming movie Remember Me that he helped publicize at Cannes recently has a new teaser poster at the Summit Website. Set to be released on February 12th, it is directed by Allen Coulter–
Infused with humor and romance, “Remember Me” tells the unforgettable love story of two young people who learn how important it is to love passionately and live loudly everyday of one’s life.

Check out this very…intricate Edward Cullen Twilight tattoo. I wonder if it’s permanent or airbrushed?

New Moon human Justin Chon, who plays one of the friends of Bella at Forks High, shows off his shoes and streetwear boutique The Attic in LA, as well as his tattoo. Some amazing stuff in there, for sure–but I have a feeling it’s way out of the pricerange of you average street-wearer.
Check out the video at Radar Online.

New Moon adorkable Kellan Lutz guest stars in a web series calls Valley Peaks, which is as far as I can tell an attempt at spoofing The Hills or 90210. [ed. note: aren't these shows kind of ridiculous already?] Check him out at about 1/3 into the video.

Never-before-seen clips will be shown at the MTV Movie Awards for the first time ever this year, and it will be from three very-high-profile movies: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and New Moon.
Executive producer Mark Burnett notes that the hype for New Moon will topple the rest–
But Burnett knows that even “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” can’t live up to the hype surrounding “New Moon.” “The biggest sneak peek of all [is] ‘Twilight,’” he said. ” ‘New Moon’ are allowing a sneak peek, and it’s being introduced by Robert [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart], so that’s huge news around the world right now. … The anticipation of those clips is going to be huge this year.”
Burnett feels that the MTV Movie Awards is the perfect place to air the first clips from “New Moon,” and his daughter tends to agree with him: “I have a 13-year-old, and when she found out a couple weeks ago there was going to be a ‘Twilight’ sneak peek, she said, ‘Oh, my God! Everybody’s going to want to see that.’ Young girls live for ‘Twilight.’ The MTV Movie Awards is a correct venue for ‘Twilight.’ It’s clearly something millions of Americans want.”
Don’t forget to vote for Twilight in all the categories it’s nominated for in the MTV Movie Awards–tomorrow is the last day!
