jesus. this is frightening. the whole robert pattinson obsession club has gone past teen crushes to unhealthy obsession. im studying psychology and this is really disturbing. i agree with the comment that if it was an actress, the way hes being stalked/screamed at/grabbed would be totally unacceptable. i believe the production company are taking full advantage of the frenzy and hanging him out as bate for business, which is part of acting but this has reached unhealthy levels. even the biggest stars in hollywood are able to go about their everyday lives normally to some extent, but this guy is practically in prison!!!! i feel so sorry for him, i know they say oh u sign up for this wen u enter the business, but this situation is extreme. its mostly got to do with the fanbase, from wat ive seen the "superfans" of the book are extremely obsessive and they are completely unable to seperate robert pattinson from edward cullen. wat with the whole "we need rob and kristen to date, theyr perfect together" etc. its really unhealthy. its ok if its a book, but when theres actors, like its scary. i dnt think any of the actors were prepared for this kind of hysteria, and robert has got the brunt of it. poor guy. feel v sorry 4 him tbh, not really much of a life being shipped from city to city to be screamed at/grabbed by socially underdeveloped psychos. ewww. yuck.

I think it is sad that this article took his comment out of context and made it seem like he was calling the girls "Gross". Clearly, he thought their actions were gross and I even heard him in another interview comment of this. The reporter asked what was the wackiest thing a fan has done and he mentioned these girls.

The poor guy is harassed at every turn and he is always gracious. I think the person who wrote this article was being unfair.

I agree with most of you that these girls who inflicted bloody scabs on themselves to get Robert's attention is extreme. But I'm also upset with the press for making it look as though Robert thinks his fans are "gross." He didn't say that at all. And to be honest, those particular girls were gross. Some of these crazed "fans" need to calm down. I'm super obsessed with the Twilight world. But Robert, Kristen, Taylor, etc just portray the characters. I think they did a great job and I'm grateful to them for bringing some of my favorite characters to life in the movie. Come on people.... let's not make them HATE their job. Fictional Edward is very sweet and the perfect boyfriend (except for the leaving part) and I love to read about him and his adventures but he is not real and he is not a celebrity. Rob is a genuine celebrity actor and musician and has an interesting, quirky, multifaceted personality. People are drawn to him and the characters he plays. I think that Summit should get him some good bodygaurds....he seems pretty accessable, which is good sometimes, in a controlled environment but it seems it is getting dangerous for him to be out alone. OK so I will admit that it is gross that someone would go to that extreme. But honestly I think it is funny. If I played an ultra hot vampire and a group of girls came up to me beeding from their necks, I don't think I could control myself I would die laughing. i'm seeing a trend where girls are reading these books losing control and starting to believe that rob is edward cullen. it's so sad and the scary part is the number of girls who read these books claiming to be in love with edward cullen, a fictional character! i don't know if it's because they are missing something from their lives or if it's because a lot of these girls are so young and having a hard time controlling their own emotions. either way, incidents such as with the crazy fans are only going to get worse in my opinion.

If they keep this up, Rob is going to have second thoughts on completing the Saga.
After all, nothing has been signed regarding BD.

I know he would never do that, because most of the fans are great. It's only that crazy 1% who give us such a bad name.

However, he is a very private and shy person in many ways, and does feel overwhelmed at times. (It's got to be hard for even a outgoing person like Taylor, but for Rob it's only worse.)

Thank God he is getting other good roles, so that he won't only be thought of as
