i saw this a while back, and i really wanted one. but then i saw sense, with some mates help(: i dont think i would have gone through with it anyway, but id never have someones name tatooed like that; i mean, its permenant! &for e.g. what if something went really wrong, rob messed up like, big time and everyone hated him or he went to jail or something (yes, this is technically very unlikely) and you had his name tattooed on your arm, it wouldnt look very good, would it?
id maybe get it traced onto my arm in permenant marker(: but after a few weeks, it would wash off, id never have anything permenantly like that.

Just wanted to add….having read a couple of posts just above mine….mine was an actual autograph onto my arm. I wouldn't have done it with just a copy because I agree with the comment that that just isn't 'real'.

I found this page as I have recently had my idols autograph tatooed on my wrist so did an internet search to find related articles. I am really interested to read your comments on this subject. A lot of them made me laugh! I am quite sure that most of the population feel that such an action is 'pole vaulting over the line' as someone so eloquently put it! I am only three weeks down the line with my tattoo so I acept it is early days but so far I do not regret my decision. I gave the mattter VERY careful consideration before going ahead. I am 45 by the way so not young and impulsive. This was my first tattoo (although at the same time I had a family one done on my leg). I don't intend to have any more tattoos done. This is it. I have bought some bracelets which fully cover my tattoo which I can wear when I do not feel it is appropriate to display it. However, this is purely for professional reasons. I would be quite happy to display it all the time but I do realise there is 'a time and a place'. I accept that I am an obsessional fan. But my obsession is kept in check, I am not a dangerous person! I ensured that I had the full consent of the person involved before I went ahead with this. He was fully aware what I intended to do. I would NOT have done it otherwise under any circumstance. I think, personally, that that is an important factor.
