Check out this very…intricate Edward Cullen Twilight tattoo. I wonder if it’s permanent or airbrushed?

On the topic of Twilight tattoos, here is some feedback from the person who has the Robert Pattinson autograph tattoo–

i am the girl who has this tattoo & heres wat i have 2 say about it…ok so every1 has their own thoughts on my rpattz tattoo & thats totally fine we are all intitalled 2 our own opinions….people have called me crazy, insane, a stalker & i just laugh at all of it (ahahaha)! i might be crazy & a little insane for getting the tattoo but im no way a stalker.…i’ve never met him & if i eva did i would not scream, freak out, cry or chase him down the street when he’s just tryin 2 go hangout w/some of his friends….i would just say hi & i would tell him that i think he’s very talented & that i cant wait 2 see wat he does in the future….& if i could ask him just 1 question it would be how does he stay so grounded when every1 is freakin out & callin him in every direction?….

    Its a real tattoo. you can tell. its swollen and red around it.. it may be a bad idea, but truthfully i would prolly do it too ;) and i agree a 100 % with her... and the Be Safe one, i love that. i was thinking about get a saying out of one of the books and doing that too :)

    As an open minded individual and someone with many tattoos, I think its very judgemental of the people who commented negatively. A tatoo is a personal choice and should be something you like no matter what others think. And I thought the signature was unique and bad a**. The quote was nice too. As far as the pic of edward goes- so what?- no one criticizes people with grim reapers, sculls, or tinkerbell tattoos.

    I totally wrote a whole note/blog about the one chick and her autograph tattoo, I basically stated the fact that if she ever meets Rob, or he read this (he does read alot about himself) that I'm sure he'll be impressed by her spelling and grammar skills.

    the "be safe" one is fine i have the bite mark tattoo on my hand (where the teeth marks should be it says twilight saga) so yeah but the first one is way over the top sorry but thats kinda crazy

  • btw..i havent seen the face tattoo..the pic was removed before i had the chance..id like to see it though..and i have to agree that even i wouldnt have gotten his face tattooed..i wouldve gotten something else that represents "Edward"..but definately not a face because even though it is the face of "Edward" it is still Rob's...still dont think she would regret it later on though..like i said earlier..its what she wanted at the time and its a memory..as long as she likes it thats all that matters...
  • i too have a twilight tattoo..mine came from New Moon... and it says La Tua Cantante... its arched with an apple underneath and also has pixie dust around it so that it looks like sparkles (sparkle like a cullen lol) i dont think its a bad idea at all and i dont think it could lead to regret because its what i wanted at the time and it'll be great for memories ya know? and i think both of those tats look awesome! congrats! i love them!

    First off all dont you people have anything better to do than bash people for something that is simply NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

    I know this couple personally and first off the tatt. is beautifully done!
    The internet DOES NOT DO the artwork justice!
    Secondly she has a husband who not only loves her but her artwork very much!
    And if you knew that type of amazingly awesome type of person she is , You would know that she does not now nor will she ever regret her decision!
    She is comfortable in her own skin and could really careless what people say or think about her !
    She is an amazing woman who is highly educated and is on her way to a wonderful career.
    How many of you bashers can say that?? Not many Im sure,
    The bottom line is there is enough strife and drama in the world without spendimg a whole day bashing a wonderful young woman for something that is truly none of your concern.
    Maby you all should focus all that pent up enegry into something positive!
    And make the world a little brighter like this young woman does!

    You need to calm down and remember the following:
    1) By putting a piece of artwork that large on her body, she is placing herself in position to be judged.
    2) By allowing said piece of artwork to be photographed and risking the publication of such photos, she is placing herself in a position to be judged.

    It is human nature (and evolutionarily speaking, it is also animal nature) to judge those which surround us. And the fact of the matter is, your friend got a very large, poorly shaded tattoo based on a pop culture topic. Inevitably she will become the topic of conversation BECAUSE it is part of popular culture.

    So stop flipping triscuts and put them back in the box. If she didn't want people talking about her, she never would have gotten that tattoo.

    Even "highly educated" people make poor choices.

If that girl's my friend I would yell at her and I'd be really really really disappointed.That's just waayy over the top, you don't have to show your loyalty to Twilight like that.     Okay, my opinions on these. The first one: WAYY over board. I'm guessing they will really regret that later in life. Me personally, would never get anyones face tattoed to my skin. I really hope that airbrushed.
    The second one: His signature? Are you kidding me? That's pretty ridiculous!
    Third: I actually like that one. My friend has one like it but on her wrist. I want to get it. Plus, it can be interpreted in other ways rather than Twilight =) So, it wouldn't be something you might possibly regret later.

    Poor girl, I hope she doesn't end up reading what everyone on here is saying. If you're getting one that big, then you probably have others. This all seems so judgemental. There's nothing wrong with getting a twilight tattoo, especially if you're into tattoos to begin with. And if you are into them, I really doubt you're going to regret them. Your personality doesn't change as you get older. None of you know these people personally, and you don't know what stories could be behind these tattoos. Did you ever think maybe they thought long and hard about it? Stars and hearts are boring, plus everyone has them. Not many people have the guts to go big like this. I salute whoever it is that got this done.

    UMMM yeah. I have six tattoos. Each of them means something to me. Something important. As in, life things important. I pray to god that that Rob tat is fake. Because unless this person wants to sit through hours of painful (and should I mention... expensive?) removal... They can live with the idiocy of permanence on their arm. I love the entirety of the Twilight series, but that's just... insane. Obsessions are temporary. Tattoos are permanent. I was obsessed with Hanson for a long time. Grew out of it. among other phases. Good luck with that.

    The art is only ok. As an artist I'm thinking the artist could have done a better job. His hair is NOT RIGHT. Forehead is TOO LONG. Nose isn't right. I dunno it's only ok. I love RPatz and if I were going to put tattoo of his face on my body I would make sure the artist could at least make sure it looked like him!

    Maybe be this is her version of Edward and not suppose to, at all, resemble RP. Maybe this is her visual of edward pre-RP.....or maybe it's her bf, hub, or something?

    Point is...who says it's RP to begin with? I think it's a truer fan who sees beyond the "movie" depiction of any great character.

    Would I get this on my arm, no....but if I did I'd rather do it my way then what the world thinks it should be. That's real art.

I mean...if you're going to get Rpattz covering your entire arm, hire an artist that can actually do it right lol.     i love the tatoo....... but only if it is temperary. Imagine being an 80 with a permanent tatooed pic of a fictional charter holding an apple on you arm. Not to mention it looks like a big tatoo and would be hard to hide

    that sleeve is def real, airbrushed look a lot different. i just never really liked how most faces wind up looking when theyre tattooed but the idea is nice enough. I can't really talk about big pieces being silly because i have my entire ribcage done in a universe picture with ts eliot poem.

    i mean, ive said it before: ppl should get tattoos for a good reason. If its a good reason, its a good tattoo for you. Other ppl can go cry about it as long as you are at peace with the reason behind getting the design.

The signature one is okay.. and the be safe one is sort of - kind of cute. Tattoos really aren't my thing though. If I were ever to get one, the subject would be something very near and dear to me... or something ! Haa.

    Well of all the Tattoo's i must say i liked Be safe the most because it has the longest staying power. Im sure years from now well decades there will be a new set of books and our beloved saga will be forgotten about and people will be all who the heck is that and so on and so forth. Plus that picture of edward is good i surely dont have the talent to draw like that, but it's a bit off key for me.

  • I like the "Be Safe" one, it's cute but the portrait one of Edward, well I hope it's airbrushed because it's terrible quality..I'm all for getting whatever tattoo's you want but I'd be ashamed of one that awful. My advice? Get it covered up by a MUCH better artist.

    My tattoos rarely make sense to anyone but me, and that's why I like them... but there was never a part of popular culture that changed my life so much I felt the need to have it permanently painted on my skin.

    As much as I enjoy the story, I just can't imagine what about it would make it worth a tattoo of that magnitude.

    personally i don't like tattoos. i don't think people should even get their bf gf husband or wife's name on the skin. because break up or divorce they will regret it for the rest of their life. i'm just saying. but putting a fictional character is just plan wrong. you do know that if the names, or quotes from the saga were copyrighted every time someone wanted to use it for even tat would have to pay to use. but whatever floats your boat but just remember tats are on you skin for life and the only way to take them off is have them laser off.

  • lol I just read through the comments. I saw your comment! Don't get me wrong....I love tattoos, I have some of my own, and will get more. I find that they can tell a story about a person. I have seen folks with autograph tats, Nascar inspired tats, movie inspired (Star Wars) tats...lots of stuff. I don't find it really creepy (minus the autograph tats) it's just the picture above seems distorted.

    Hopefully that made sense lol.

    This is very true--and not all of them have tattoos that designate them as such, so it's rather inconvenient.

    Not all tattoos are bad, although I find a majority of them to have a rather short lifespan, despite their being permanent. Things that are important now aren't usually important in 5 years. Or even 1 year for that matter. The fact that this person who got this tattoo is an adult (and not just an 18 yr old who got it on her birthday) is astounding. It's proof that wisdom, maturity, and sanity aren't always associated with adulthood.

    Ok I just have to say if you're trying to explain yourself in a mature, honest way, it doesn't work when you use internet talk and bad grammer. It really makes a person seem unintelligent and the explanation automatically loses its original purpose.
    Not saying I don't commend her for defending herself. I would have just done it better phrased.

    That being said, everyone knows how permanent tattoos are. I for one would never ever get one because of that very reason. People's minds and interests change constantly and it's just ridiculous to me to do something I know I would most likely regret later. But you know it's the person's own decision to get one, so whatever.

  • My mothers a tattoo artist and so ive basically grown up surrounded by the sound of buzzing needles and the sounds of grown men crying for their momy's because the tattoo hurts too much. and all i have to say about these people getting these tattoos is that it may to them seem like a fun idea or something that they will want forever but im about 85% sure that they will grow up one day and go get these surgically removed. the only one i can see out of the three staying is the quote. :|

    Hey everyone. I am the "crazy" person that actually got this tattoo.

    A few things to tell everyone, especially since no one ever got my permission or comment for it.

    1) The picture has been edited weird. It is all mis-shapen. It is too thin and long and makes him look weird. In person, it looks just like Edward.

    2) I got the tattoo because of what EDWARD represents, not Rob, so chill out. Everyone is so concerned that it is Rob. It's not. Rob is cool and all, but Jackson's better! :P

    3) My hubby thinks its awesome. He is also a Twilighter. I get compliments literally every time I step outside my house.

    4) You have no idea why I got this, so you guys should really stop judging. Don't we have enough of that? Now we are judging other fans? Really? What happened to just enjoying the saga?

    5) My body. My decision. I LOVE it. It looks AMAZING when you actually can see it and not use messed up photos. I have my reasons for wanting it. At least my tat has meaning....not like some gals that get a butterfly on their butts. I have 25 tattoos. They all mark points in my life. This is just ONE of them.

    6) STOP BEING SO NEGATIVE! Smile a little! Jeez! :P

    My idea about tattos is what happens when you "grow-up" and have to have it removed because all the warm fuzzy reasons you put that big thing on you goes away. Sure you can do just about anything you want to your body but you only have one and what goes when you figure this was a stuff of you past because one day it will be. Instead of picking up the book and having happy memories you will have to have a painful laser removal. That is if you have the money because those suckers are expensive and ten times more painful than getting it and then over such a large space the scare....which again if you have lots and lots of money you can have removed with another laser treatment. Hey kid. You have to live with it now so how you have your kicks.

  • I don't know if it's lighting or camera angles, but it looks a bit like the actor Ed Norton in this pic. It could be that the pic of the tatt is just weird. I mean they trace it on you before they make it permanent and you agree to it, so I'm thinking it just looks different in the pic for whatever reasons it might be.

    thnx! i think this one is less extreme because it is idolizing a fictional character, which is more symbolic. but bottom line, to get a full blown picture of something so specific; i mean, unless she/he has her very own "EDWARD" then it is SO dumb to get this one done. if you found your edward, then maybe the whole thing has alittle bit more meaning? idk.... i cant begin to get into the mindset that these people were in when they got this stuff done!
