TWILIGHT I think you are right. I think Rob and Kristen are way into each other and were worried about it showing, so they didn't kiss, but if it didn't mean anything, they would've just done it. They can't really go out- it could screw things up if they don't work out down the road with two more movies to do, but I think someday, they could end up together. If he can't kiss me, I'd take watching him kiss her. What a let down! Hope they planned it and she didn't leave him hanging!!

Ok, I'm really sorry if I offend somebody's feelings, but common, they are actors in a movie, what do you care if they date or not, I think I heard that Rob liked Kirsten but she HAS a boyfriend, so what, he'll get over her, he's Rob freaking Pattinson, he can have whoever he wants, more good looking and better actress, and if he doesn't have anything with Kirsten, well better, so you can dream on about trapping him. As for the fakeout in the awards, it was funny, but he just closed his eyes because he can't keep a straight face with all the crazy yelling as if they were... I don't even know what. And I just said it, was funny but the best kiss stage ever was the 2005 MTV movie awards. I LOVE Twilight but keep it real.

I thought the fake kiss was perfect for the awards. It just embodied the fun, joking kind of vibe of these awards and a great acceptance speech. Definitly not boring.

It was SO much better that they left the audience hanging for more. And Rachel and Ryan were actually going out so easier for them to make out on stage. Whereas last years Briana and Robert H kissed and then the crowd were much more silent(with disappointment at the lame copy cats probably). I think its great how Rob and Kris planned it and they did very well!! Who said they couldnt act!? :D

Because we were linked here from another site and well, some of us have a small sparking fire of hope that something we say might get though the skulls of those who say they like this stuff. If you want vampires go find something like interview with a vampire. Or one of the better book series out there. There's plenty to choose from all who take this much better and much more seriously.

What twilight is, from what I've seen, is repacking vampires into something more kid/tween friendly that won't offend as many people as the grittiness of the genre traditionally contains. Heaven help this author if they attempt werewolves in a similar fashion.

Oh, I love the way Kristen reacts when she drops the award. It's so cute, so endearing and down to earth. She reacts naturally and just be herself. She doesn't try too hard to be cool like Miley. Her first award, of course, she's nervous. She gets better next time. Look back the past award show, even Oscar, some actors even said something very ridiculous. But their happy moments, and everyone gets nervous. I hope she just laughs at it, and tells her grandchild this funny moment.

she looked totally stoned... i mean i am usually a fan, but tonight she really disappointed me... she looked great at the beginning but as the night went on, she became more discombobulated... some may say that she is just publicly awkward, and usually i would agree but tonight she just looked hopeless.

MTV is about the TEEN choice, it's not like OSCAR. Kate Winslet is amazing in the reader, but the movie doesn't compel to TEEN. That's why she's lost. An Oscar is the most prestigious award. Actors dream about holding it in their hands. It's not a "so what" type of deal. I think the MTV awards is marketed for younger people, and since Twilight is a fad amongst the younger female generation; it's obvious Twilight is going to win. I like the series, but the movie really didn't deserve it in my opinion.

I don't think Kristen was drunk or high, she came off painfully shy and very uncomfortable. I thought it was cute when she dropped her award as it kinda reminded me of Bella. It was a genuine moment. The first kiss acceptance was cute, it was a re-enactment of the scene from the movie when they kept coming into each other slowly and then the surprise pull back to tease the audience - well done! Having said all that, Kristen is not somebody off the street - she's an actress. Get over the shyness Kristen. When you are interviewed, don't stare down at the ground and mumble. It's not real, it's amateur. You've been in the business doing red carpets for 8 years now, it's time to start handling publicity better. Remember, there is a business in show business.

I so agree with you. She really gets a bad rap for just being very shy and not comfortable with people falling all over her. Unlike some actresses that expect or love the endless attention, I find KS to be so humble and unaffected by the fame. She is just an ordinary girl who loves her job and wants to make the fans happy. As far as going to red carpets for years, this is the first time in all that time that she has this level of notireity and not only does she have people crazed for her, she probably has haters that don't want her anywhere near RP.

The story says out of the seven categories it was nominated for they won 5. They weren't nominated for 7 different categories only 6 weren't they? They had seven nominations, but 2 were for the same category. Rob and Taylor for breakthrough. So really they won 5 out of 6 categories not 5 out of 7.

Great, that's your opinion. In mine Slumdog has much more substance than Twilight. Not that I hate Twilight, because if I did I wouldn't be here. I just thought the cast, dialogue, and cinematography were definitely below par with Twilight. Slumdog is like a piece of art to me. The dialogue, the content, and the message is amazing. If reality isn't your cup of tea, then great. You don't have to talk down to people who like it.

When Robert and Kristen won the award for The Best Kiss, all I can say is that even my husband thought that it was HOT! That was some STEAMY stuff!!! Everyone of the cast was very gracious when accepting their awards. Such an amazing cast of wonderful people!

As I understand, the viewers are voting for it so their lack of ability to a good movie from a bad one and a wooden actor from a believable one is not a suprise.

Are they serious? Even MTV viewers can't be this stupid! How is a poorly written adaptation of an even more poorly written novel about necrophilia and acting so wooden and dialogue so stilted that it makes the makes The Happening almost bearable the "best picture"?
Best fight? Poorly choreographed and not very interesting.
Best kiss? Necrophilia, 'nuff said (look it up if you don't know what it is, which won't suprise me since most of you a probably 13 at the oldest)
Best male and female performance? No both were pretty bad, not believable at all (but you could blame that on the garbage writing.)

Can anybody explain to me why this movie won? Especially with titles such as The Dark Knight and Slumdog Millionaire out? Twilight was nothing more then a fanfic that was written only to appease girls who easily take on to flamboyant men. These girls are easily sunk into it, and then people starting reading it because they gossip about it. No depth, no multitude, no ultimate goal in the text, such a love book. I guess it was different because it had vampires? Ooh, such an original text. I was more compelled from Van Helsing's version.

On to my true point though. This film was nothing more then a cash in. It was made to draw the money of those lonely girls who drag their 'boyfriends' there and sucks your money up leaving you with only a hole in your wallet and eventually your memory about the film because nobody cares about it. Will this film be discussed a month later? How about a year? 5 years? Dark Knight and Slumdog will, but I don't see this. It will never stand up to the works of Stanley Kubrick or Stephen Spielberg. This was a joke MTV. I don't expect much though, after all, you aren't taken seriously by any media on the planet. Enjoy your false reward Twilight. But you don't deserve any attention. The next girl love flick will easily make you forgetable.

Clearly, MTV have avoided watching any of the other superior movies which came out around the same time and remain devoted in going along with whatever happens to be popular at the moment. Twilight wasn't an okay movie and the acting was good enough to keep me entertained, but to call it breakthrough or revolutionary shows that these reviewers know dick about good movies..... It might just deserve the Kiss Award though.
