Vancouver Twilight Tours Help Fans to See New Moon Sights

Fans that want to get a glimpse of New Moon sights in Vancouver have several options springing up in the form of businesses that offer custom tours of the area. The Province interviews Allie Henze from Twilight Set Tours, whose motto is “By Fans, For Fans”–

“A couple of us basically got this together because we’ve been successfully Twilight stalking for a long time now,” she says, with a laugh, “and we just thought it would be a good idea to start a tours company and provide more of a formal structure to it for fans because we get a lot of requests from people — you know, take us to the sets and that sort of thing.”

Christine Kilpatrick from another tour company, Twilight Tours Vancouver, says that–

“So, I have tonnes and tonnes and tonnes of little bits of trivia information that no one else will know because as a journalist I’m always seeking out these types of little bits and pieces to make a good story. So that will be part of our tour as well,” says Kilpatrick.

freaking unbelievable-im not supprised- people are gonna be pissed (esp. if you actually live in vancouver, like myself.) but you dont see me trying to scam the visitors here for the twilight series filming. vancity allie, go get a life (and possibly a REAL job? you know, try to make honest money for an honest days work sort-of-thing? ever tried that? maybe you should start.). kilpatrick, i guess youre ok cause youre not organizing stalkathons.

Horrible idea. Way to make the cast dislike Vancouver because I assure you they will after this experience. As if it wasn't enough with all the twitters, etc updating people on where the cast is filming. Now add the tours... Greedy and opportunistic. For the record, I live in Vancouver and have NEVER been tempted to stalk the cast nor plan on taking this tour. I also live in Yaletown where the cast is often see and even then, I don't have any interest on invading their privacy. Also... I have a life.

This "Tour" is just ridiculous...and how they can call themselves fans...appalling!!! This is what will make REAL fans having an encounter...IMPOSSIBLE! It wouldn't surprise me if by August the cast has bodygaurds. I mean did these people even think of the fact that they can't screen the people who pay for these tours and could possibly be making it easier for someone intent on doing harm (real crazy stalking) to get closer to these actors. The cast are just PEOPLE, I too went to Vancouver and got to meet cast members they were very nice and approachable, and I didn't have to do any "stalking" I also went to the set sites...and I didn't have to pay a thing. Totaly disgusted!!! Get a life and a REAL JOB!!!

I totally agree. whatever the Allie Henze girl is doing is completely wrong and invasive! AND not to mention, they have the gall to charge hundreds of dollars for doing so. these people (cast) are just trying to do their JOB just like you and I, its as simple as that. leave them alone and not try to take advantage of the fact that they're filming in your home town. the fact that shes trying to make a quick buck by exploiting the cast disgusts me. you call yourself a FAN? you're not a fan. you're a scammer.

as for the Christine Kilpatrick person, thats fine because shes not taking people who LIVE FILMING--just to placed where they have filmed previous, and no set stalking at all-which is one thousand times better than hunting the cast down because you paid $500 to get some local to tell you where they MAY be.

its ridiculous I checked the prices to check out Jacob's house, Bella's house, Cullen house and the theater location (4 hours) it cost 200 per person

I actually live 1 hour away from Vancouver; and some of the shootings are around Vancouver not in Vancouver so its really hard to find the places
however they are making soo much money off of this
taking advantage of twihards... its just not right!

I wish... the only location I found is where they did the shooting for the external movie theater shooting.. nothing else :(

I guess this is pretty cool if you have the money. But if you don't have the $$, there is still a good chance you can meet some of the stars. I don't live far from the Seattle area, so some friends and I just took a trip up there about a month and half ago. We were able to see Kellan as he was leaving the hotel and meet Jackson, Rachelle, Ashley and Selena Gomez. So, we'll probably just do lots of research and stick to our own devices when we go back in August.

i dont think i would wanna go on this twilight tour dont get me wrong i am a huge twilight fan and i am pretty sure the biggest one in the area i live in ....lmao.......but i wouldnt pay money to go i mean if i met the cast i would like to meet them by just walking down the street and bump into them casually u know but thats my opion and i am not gunna judge others on what there opion is so i say do whatever u like and whatever u feel ......ok done with my speech ...LMAO :D

This girl is completely exploiting her stalker skills- and like the other comments state on this post- the prices are absolutely ridiculous.
I was able to google and find ALL of the Twilight filming locations here in the NW (I live in Seattle) and it wouldn't be hard to do for Vancouver.
She's crazy!

Oh my god, I would do that for free. I have been to the locations in Vancouver.. actually got to meet KStew.. making someone pay is just pathetic. I don't 'set-stalk'.. so to say, but I go to locations and am respectful of the cast.
That's how it should be done.

But to have the tour offer a chance to go to the hotels...okay, wow, super f$%^&ng creepy! That's just seriously messed up.

It's not hard to find these places on your own. Grab a GPS system and you are off. The chances of you meeting the cast with a tour group are the same as you being ALONE. Actually I think if you are alone you probably have a hell of a better chance because you are not with a bunch of screaming girls pushing books in the actors face.

Now the tour that doesn't go while they are filming I can see as being ok. That is more respectful. But the one while they are filming? That's just plain stalking and harassment.
