I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I don't at all hate Jacob; however, there's no doubt that the whole world has fallen in love with Rob and Edward...as in, everywhere Rob goes he gets a "Beatles-esque" response. Seriously, look at the response he's received at Cannes. His bodyguard has basically had to carry him around, because of the uproar he caused. It was stated many times that he received more attention than Brad Pitt, even though he's literally just started in the industry; and, Rob is getting film offer after film offer.
I have nothing against Taylor, and I wish him all the best in his career :)
However, there is no doubt in anyone's mind (Summit, the media, and the general population) as to who the bankable star of Twilight is. Again, its just the truth.

I don't hate Jacob, but there's no question that Rob/Edward is the moneymaker. This isn't just Summit's decision, its also EW's decision. The media outlets know that Rob is a superstar. He's bankable, so of course they'll play into that. Jacob is an important character, but Taylor will never get anything close to "equal time" when compared to Rob and Kristen. I don't mean to be rude, this is just the truth of the industry.

Without Jacob there would be no Alice to come check on Bella and to think Bella is dead. Without Jacob, (Well fine, without Sam) Bella would still be in the forest eaten by a giant mega bear. Without Jacob, Bella would never find her true calling in life... to be Mrs. Cullen. Hummmph, I'm going to stomp my foot now!

Sorry thought I was in a different blog topic about the charity events rob's been going to. I agree with you somewhat. Taylor's character is very important....but when it is all said and done...the other characters in these books are just the outside players that need to be there to make Bella and Edward be together. I can see why they are making a bigger deal about ROB & Kristen. Plus theres just something about him......

We have to remember Taylor is still underage....He probably doesn't go to alot of these events like Rob does because he's still under his parents thumb.

I'm a big Rob fan (obviously) but I'm also Team Jacob and idk what Summit is doing. Maybe they're keeping the wolves under cover just because they're gonna be such a great surprise but they really need to cover Taylor/Jacob more. I think even Rob would agree...they need to keep Edward to the minimum so that the Italy scene is bigger and has more impact, and honestly, the "New Moon'" in this movie is Jacob Black, they better do him justice or I SWEAR I'll snap.

I agree. It needs to have less focus on edward if they want to maintain integrity of what stephenie wrote. Jacob was her own personal sun in that time of her life and they need to be sure to really hone in on that. Yeah there was the perpetual undertone of how much she misses Edward, but Jacob would have been the one to help her heal over time had she never jumped off that cliff. Know what I mean vern? Edward never really would have stopped being her first love, but she would have been able to open to Jacob eventually I think.

Woo Woo, about Edward being her first love. Edward is the Love of her life. Yes Jacob is important to the story, yes he helped her during her dark times without Edward. But EVERYTHING BELLA DID WAS FOR EDWARD not Jacob. So just because Eddie is physically gone, His presence is still there. See that is another thing what I dislike about some females. All you see is Team Jacob or Team Edward, when the story is really about Isabella Swan. So why don't you give credit where credit is due.. The verse, yes, is a bit soft. But when he's belting out "Love reign o'er me" over and over again, I think is perfect.

That might just be my love for Roger Daltrey speaking out though.

Pearl Jam's version sounds a little edgier.

Those are good chooses I think anything from Secondhand Serenad the c.d. A Twist In My Story just reminds me of the saga so much also I'm an Idol fan and very disappointed about Kris winning and yes I voted a number of times but anyway I think with the right song Adam could do a very haunting painful song for the breakup or even when they reunite.
