ok so how much of edward is going to be in this film? seems to me like they are going to show him a lot and i dont know if i want that. Bella thinks that edward left her because he doesnt want her anymore, and is this not bella's point of view. the viewer needs to feel what the reader felt also. the reader had no idea what edward was doing and i think if they show him in the film all the time it will defeat the whole purpose. they need to just stick to the nightmares that bella has everynight and when she hears his voice that will be good, plus if they show him too much we wont get to see jacob and bellas relationship developing aswell as it should. always about edward i guess.

I agree to an extent....you have to feel his absence....but on the other hand the movie doesn't have to be filmed first person (from bella's point of view). And she will still feel his absence even if we can see and know what he's doing.

i totally agree with you! most people want more rob but still want to feel this rush of happiness when we see him at last at the end...it's complicated! so, whatever Chris does, i'm sure that at the end every body will be satisfied!!

I agree, it will be nice to see some of what is going on when Edward goes to Italy. They are Alice's visions, Alice is seeing what her brother is going through. I think it will be great.

right.... it could definitely be Alice's visions that we see in the movie when Rob is meeting with the Volturi...good point!

That's one of the things I missed about the movie of Twilight, they failed to get into the Cullen's characters and establish them as a family and how they related to each other. If they didn't do that in the first movie, when is it supposed to be done? I hope they do what they can now in retospective. ?? CH or MR put in scenes that took up time they should have used for that. Oh well, I think Chris will do a good job

As much as I love me some RPattz I agree with you. Thats one of the main things in the book, Bellas struggle to cope without him, and how his leaving affected her. If he's there throughout the whole movie, you don't really get the sense of him being gone. But still I'll reserve my judgement til I see the final product.

i think Chris will make Bella's hallucinations very subtle, like a second or two. enough to see him but not enough not to miss him...you know what i mean?

I don't know. Bella got hooked on the hallucinations, and there was one point at which she said that Edward's voice yelled at her for five minutes straight or something like that. So I think it'll be more than a couple of seconds, but because they're hallucinations, I think we'll still miss him.

And I'm a little nervous about Edward asking for the Volturi to kill him, but, like someone else said, this could be Alice's visions. But will it stop with that, or are they going to show Rosalie telling him that Bella's dead, and him tracking Victoria, and him sad...this is a very dangerous and slippery slope. I LOVE me some Rob Pattinson, but I also want the movie to stay true to the book. I've seen way too many books made into movies that were complete disasters, and I don't want this to be one of them.

I know they are showing him in her nightmares and they are going to show him as an illusion when she "hears" his voice. Chris Weitz said on ET that they were going to have Bella see him as well as hear him because it would relate better onscreen.

I read somewhere also that he comes to her in a sort of apparition, plus that there are flashes of the Cullens when they're off without Bella.

aww.. dont let your head hurt...lol..ok there are four kinds of hullucinations: auditory (hearing), visual (seeing), tactile (touch), and olfactory (smell). on this note, they can have both audtiory and visual hullucinations in the film...but also you have to remember; its a film shown to make the audience go wow; and its not only us fans going to be watching..so i guesss they are trying to do something that will look good in general and appeal to others; not only us..i dont think its going to take away from the reunion..

also; remember twilight rush edward and bella relationship; so if i was watching new moon for the first time and saw edward at the beginning and at the end; i'd probably be confused as to what is going on..so i think the edwards images are ok to be in there; but not too much..i think on screen; visual hullucinations draws the crowd more than auditory..and i dont think these images will be long like someone said previously.

Ummm agreed, My hubby was like "Wow that was weird" He thought that he went from weird to hostile to gooey in a short amount of time...When we see the and only here his voice it would probably be lik"God, is that you?" So a slight visual affect would be better for the audience...For the book fans and newcommers alike. I'm not sure who the first movie was geared for? I mean the meadow scene was botched!

Even though leaked script is just a second draft I can tell you that even when we see him in two little scenes away it's not much, and you have no idea what is going on with him.
We will see a good representation of Bella/Jacob relationship. That part was done really well. Jacob was even introduced earlier before Edward leaves.

I said it yesterday and I'll say it again, the reunion is damaged and rushed. They took out a lot of things.

I am just sick of the same discussion. People will believe what they want to believe what ever the facts are.

I kind of agree... but when I was reading the book, and thinking about the movie, I was wanting to be able to see some of the absolute pain Edward was going through while he was gone.... I honestly don't think they're going to put "too much" of him in there, but I'm personally pretty happy to hear they are planning to show him asking to die, and then the part where he gets the call from Rosalie... I was pretty excited to hear about that one... I loved reading that extra on Stephenie's website. Thought it would make a GREAT scene. But I know where you're coming from, the story is about Bella & Jacob, and it needs to be the focus.

Oh for the love of Edward, Everything Bella did in New Moon was about Edward, she didn't live Forks, because someone where in the world he existed. And his presence never left. And if some Folks here would have the time and do their home work correctly, they won't be showing Edward all the time. I'm sure everyone involved in this movie knows that the main point of the book is the devastation Bella feels when Edward leaves her, I think that although for movie purposes they need to show Edward more than he appears in the book it will still be in a subtle way. It would have to be because if he's in it too much then there won't be the sense of relief I and I'm sure many others felt when they were finally reunited. The reunion needs to be so good it'll make you cry even when they're still in the midst of the Volturi.

All these statements, they're doing this and that, they're changing things, we won't really know until we see it for ourselves and I for one can't wait.

Im a bit confused on the Volturi judging and sentencing a vampire who broke the rules part. What part of the book was this. Is this maybe like a flashback scene or something?

Well in the Twilight book Edward and Bella discuss when Carlisle was with the Volturi when she visits his house. They never showed that in the movie, So my guess is that they are back tracking a bit to show who the Volturi are.

Maybe they are just adding it....to make for a scarier movie "this is what happens when you break the rules" that kind of thing.

Yeah or I was thinking maybe it's one of those scenes they play when someone is telling a story. Like in Twilight when Jacob was telling Bella about the Cullens being vampires. Maybe this is a scene to play when Edward is explaining to Bella why the Volturi is like royalty. Just speculating.

I am so excited to see Aro. I love Michael Sheen (am anxiously awaiting Rise of the Lycans on Tuesday). I hope they really darken this portion of the movie, and it would make sense to have a little background on them, since it was overlooked in Twilight. Ok, if I'm not completely mistaken most of the movie is already wrapped.
The wolf pack is done, scenes at Bella's place are done, school scenes are done, diving scene is done, birthday party is done, Jake stuff, la push, Bella going out with Jessica and later with Jake and Mike, done, done, done.
So the Volturis and the break up scene are the only ones left, right? That means they're already with one foot in post production.
Ergo, no mo waiting and biting my nails !! YAY!
