You always make me laugh and help me feed my "Twiight" obsession (or should I say my wolfie obsession!!)

One last thing that happened to me that I am thrilled about...
Wolfie, remember I told you me and my "Next Wolfpack Member" son are going to "Twicon"? Well, when I first saw that it was going to be in Dallas, I was REALLY wanting to go, but because of the cost, was thinking I better not go.

But then, I saw all the cool breakout sessions and when I saw the one that was on "Twilight in the Classroom", I thought "Allright! An valid excuse to go to Twicon! I can use this session as Inservice and learn some more cool ways to teach Twilight or New Moon again next schooyear!" So I registered to go.

Well, I saw that Twicon was asking for people with any kind of specific experience in the Breakout Session topics to send an email to Formal Programming to share their experiences and possible become a Panel Discussion Leader.

Well, I thought "What the heck, I'll just send in how by doing a Point of View lesson using the 1st chapters of "Twilight/Midnight Sun" (Spanish versions of course, since I teach Spanish) got so many of my reluctant readers to read the book and many to go on and read all four books. (I was so proud of them for doing that!) I sent in my email in April.

Well, would you believe wolfie that I got an email this past week saying that I had been chose as a Panel Leader? How awesome is that?? I am so thrilled and honored. I cannot believe that I am so lucky to have a job that actually allows me to read and talk about the Saga.

Anyway, sorry for the long post ladies, but I just wanted to share how thrilled I am, and of course give my Wolfpack their props!!!

Well,

Most of the girls he knows at school are Edward fans since he's just going into 9th grade, so for now he's basically always defending the Wolfpack.

But I have a strong suspicion that once New Moon comes out, he'll be fending girls off, instead of defending the wolves, because young girls will see the true beautifulness of what it means to be a wolf!

He's got some real Native blood, too. His dad is Hispanic, and we know that his family has indigenous blood, mostly Aztec. Alex Meraz is Huasteca I believe, or one of the Mexican tribes that were related to the Aztecs, and we ALL know how beautiful Alex is!!

Yeah, the couple times I've watched it with my boyfriend I kind of cringe during the sparkling scenes. But a glare and "shut up" is usually enough to quiet the laughter.

But if it's not, then I just say "Padme, your skin is like the sands of whatever-f*cking desert....". Repeating George Lucas' crappy sappy dialogue is enough to quiet the most die-hard Star Wars fan.
