It looks like Michael Sheen–Aro of the Volturi in New Moon–didn’t go to Italy for location shoots for the movie and performed all his bits on stages and green screens in Vancouver. This is straight from the horse’s mouth according to a recent tweet that the actor made.

Stephenie Meyer has notified fans that she has taken down her “bloated” official MySpace page, leaving the only officially avenue to interact with fans as her official page. Also, she recommends reading Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series–

A quick fyi: I am taking down my bloated myspace page. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, and I really miss the early days when I could hang out with people online. Many of you are hilarious and insightful, and I wish it was easier for me to talk to everyone the way I used to.

With the myspace no longer in existence, I can now clearly state that—beside than this website—there is no other outlet where I communicate with people online. I do not have a facebook page, and I have never had one. I don’t do twitter. So if you’re communicating with someone online that you think is me, it’s not.

Hope you all are having a great summer so far! If you’re looking for some beach reading, you might try Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series if you haven’t already. My son finally finished book five yesterday so I could read it today. It was a fantastic end to a fantastic series. I tip my hat to you, Mr. Riordan!

Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in New Moon, was interviewed on the red carpet for the premiere of his new show Nurse Jackie and talked about New Moon as well as Eclipse. He also notes that New Moon director Chris Weitz reminds him of the character her plays in the movie–

“I always tell him, ‘You remind me of Dr. Cullen,’ because he’s very thoughtful and always thinking and always calming,” he said. “If there’s any chaos going on, you can look to him and it’s all calm, so he really is Dr. Carlisle Cullen.”

“He even started wearing scarves,” Facinelli continued. “I was like, ‘Hey, you’re stealing my thing, man.’ “

Taylor Lautner is back in Los Angeles after his New Moon shoot in Vancouver where he was spotted ocassionally with Disney star Selena Gomez. Now that’s he is back, he’s been spotted again hanging out with “good friend” Selena in Los Angeles in order to grab some frozen yogurt–or froyo as they call it nowadays.

New Moon author and queen bee Stephenie Meyer hit #26 on the 2009 Forbes Celebrity 100 List which measures the pay, web presence and press notoriety of celebrity figures. She was tagged as a $50 million earner, and Forbes said–

Thanks to the success of Meyer’s Twilight series, 2008 became the year of the vampire. The low-profile author sold 29 million books last year, releasing two new novels (Breaking Dawn and The Host) and selling hoards of paperbacks of what have become instant classics (Twilight, Eclipse and New Moon). Last November, gothy fans camped out to catch the first film based on the series; Twilight grossed $70 million opening weekend. A partial rough draft of the fifth Twilight book leaked online last August; Meyer published the full draft on her Web site and announced the book wouldn’t be published.
