There’s a new journal entry from Ellie who is recounting her experiences about what it was like to work as an exra on the set of New Moon. She writes–

The scene they were filming that day was the one where Ashley and Kristen make their way up Volterra to the Piazza in the yellow Porsche. We were supposed to act as if we didn’t notice the car trying to get through the crowd until it honked and was near us, because obviously we had to get out of the way. We did the take several times, from all different directions and angles. They were using the body doubles that day and Ashley’s double was a man, which we found pretty hilarious! (Alice doesn’t have a ’stache!) We figured they chose him because of his driving experience. He was clearly very adept at maneuvering the car through the narrow streets.

What comes around, goes around–as witnessed by a mishap with some expensive photographic equipment used by the paparazzi that swarmed around New Moon star Ashley Greene’s car at the Madame Royale opening.

The photographer was too close, and got stuck in the car door as she drove away. Check out the hilarious video as well.

Twilight bad boy Cam Gigandet is starring in the lead role of a new movie called Five Star Day . Here’s the official description–

In his first romantic lead role, Cam Gigandet plays Jake Gibson, a mid twenties college student who sets out to disprove the theory of Astrology. Along the way he learns important lessons about life, love and the difference between ones fate and their destiny.

Cam is also set to start in Easy A, which according to Variety–

Screen Gems has set Lisa Kudrow, Alyson Machalka, Thomas Haden Church, Patricia Clarkson, Stanley Tucci, Penn Badgley (”Gossip Girl”), Cam Gigandet (”Twilight”), Malcolm McDowell and Daniel Byrd to join Emma Stone and Amanda Bynes in “Easy A,” the Will Gluck-directed comedy that begins production June 9.

New Moon hunk Kellan Lutz is a man after my heart–he was seen getting his gadget-geek on with a Kindle e-ink wireless book reader, one of the hottest tech-cessories on the market nowadays.

Kellan is arriving back to LAX from Chicago where he was doing some work on the Nightmare on Elm Street remake he’ll be in. More pics at Popsugar.

Kelly Clarkson is a big Twilight fan, and she talks about her love for the series as well as a song called “Empty as I Am” that she wrote on a whim inspired by New Moon. No word on if it will be in the movie or not, but Kelly has previously blogged about reading the books.

Peter Facinelli appeared on Chelsea Lately to promote his new Showtime show Nurse Jackie a couple of days ago. The actor, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in New Moon, is interviewed very briefly about New Moon and Twilight issues . There’s also a roundtable from a previous show where the group mentions Twilight a bit.

I’ve not covered the Robsten rumors that some of you may have heard about recently on purpose, but I’m sure a lot of you have heard all the talk of the possible dating scenarios involving Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Whether or not such a thing is happening is anyone’s guess, but I thought this photo manipulation of the duo gives a good approximation of what the couple might look like if they were public with their affection.
