Check out this amazing video footage behind the scenes when they were shooting New Moon in Vancouver–it’s taken at Jacob’s House, including never-before-seen footage of inside of Jacob’s garage! There’s also a small bit of Robert Pattinson at the new Forks High set!
If that title sounds confusing, well just watch the video–someone took some audio from Spongebob Squarepants, and put it with video of Jasper and his fight against wanting Bella’s blood during the papercut scene in New Moon. The result? I can guarantee you’ll watch this twice!
Here’s a pic of the New Moon / Runaways duo Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart inside the NYLON Summer Music Tour with Patrick Wolf at the Roxy, rather than just a furtive glance as they tried to escape the paps in a Mini Cooper.
Check out the rest of the pics from the show at Nylon.
Here is a fairly intense parody of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart being interviewed for New Moon. Of course, the Robsten rumors get lots of air time–but there’s also an “Exclusive Clip” from New Moon.
New Moon star Robert Pattinson was wtih longtime British bud Tom Sturridge, Twilight mom Elizabeth Reaser and actress Eva Mendes last night at the Bowery Bar in New York City. They were sipping Peronis and eating pizza. Exciting, no?
After hiding it under a hoodie, Kristen Stewart is finally showing off her full Joan Jett hair transformation. What do you think–big change from Bella, no?
Jackson Rathbone was asked why they didn’t get much into his backstory during New Moon, and he told TeenMag–
“Well it doesn’t really come out too much in the book. It’s one of those things were it’s understood but in the third book it really comes out like the back story and everything.
“I think one of the things we didn’t want to get too much into was focusing on all the other vampires.
“We wanted really to establish this relationship and how she (Bella) gets sucked into the world of the Cullen family and once she’s in the world that’s when things kind of start coming out.
“One of the things about Jasper is he doesn’t use the ability all the time. It’s something that he’s very strict about using because it’s like an invasion of privacy to make someone feel something, to manipulate emotions.”
MetroNews has another in their ongoing series of interviews from the set of New Moon. This time, it’s an interview with New Moon heroine Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan–
What are the changes in this second installment? Your character Bella takes risks again…
Well, she loses what basically gives her the drive to do anything in her whole life. She loses the man she’s in love with, but she also loses her entire life plan, and she’s so young to have to be forced into a decision like that. It’s just a glorified, elaborate version of the worst breakup you’ve ever been through. All of a sudden you question everything. All of a sudden you know nothing and you’re dropped in the middle of a freezing cold ocean.
Oddly, we have a character that’s warm enough and bright enough to bring her out of that, and it’s truly gut-ripping. Because as perfect as Jacob is for her, she holds on to an ideal, the ultimate fiery love that she has for Edward even though it’s not comfortable, it’s not practical and it’s not a good idea. So it’s really a very strong thing to do. It takes someone who really trusts themselves.
