Kellan Lutz

There’s a new gallery of photos from New Moon big hubba vampire Kellan Lutz, including some peculiar preppy-chic shots. Not sure if I like the hipster glasses on Kellan–but the new photos are still great.

Check out this hilarious video of the panel at Chelsea Lately discussing Robert Pattinson. It seems the gals are a bit at a loss for words, but the bald fellow at the end is spot on with the heartfelt and hilarious commentary!

200906141247.jpgAccording to a reader, the New Moon trailer that was first shown at the MTV Movie Awards may begin showing up in theaters on Friday with, at the very least, Sandra Bullock’s new film The Proposal, as it was shown at a sneak preview of the film last night–

I just thought I’d let you know, because there has been a lot of speculation as to when they would start putting out the trailer for New Moon…I SAW IT TONIGHT AT THE THEATRE. It was AWESOME! I went to see the sneak peak of The Proposal (which by the way is a hilarious movie, go see it) and it was the first movie trailer. I about freaked when they showed the shoreline, I knew exactly what it was! It was the same as the “sneak” we saw during the MTV Movie Awards, but seriously it was 100% better to see it in the theatre.

Some of you have already noticed the New Moon poster showing up in theaters, as well–as shown in this shot that another reader sent in.

200906141231.jpg With the HBO Southern gothic vampire series True Blood starting its new season tonight, Interview magazine recently caught up with the stars of True Blood to ask what they thought of the Twilight vamps–

Can the vampire universes of True Blood and Twilight peacefully coexist?

I don’t know…I think maybe the True Blood vampires would be jealous of the Twilight vampires for being so sparkly and shiny in the sun…they are the supermodels of the vampire world…and I think that we have all seen that supermodels and humans have difficulties with peaceful coexistence…a la the Naomi episodes.

What would a rumble between the two casts look like?

I think it would a little like the rumble in West Side story…with lots of hair product and fancy dance numbers and lots of hot men! And Yes I think the True Blood Vampires would definately crush the sparkly Twilight Vamps, without question.

[thanks, everyone!]

200906141218.jpg New Moon stars Gil Birmingham and Peter Facinelli are both looking for new followers on their Twitter accounts, and both are having bets to see if they can reach a much larger number of followers–100,000 for Gil, 500,000 for Peter. We’ve posted this on our own Twitter stream, @NewMoonMovie, a couple of times already, but for those of you who don’t follow us, be sure to help them out!

Follow @PeterFacinelli and @GilBirmingham for a chance to see Gil in a bikini if he adds 100,000 followers by Friday–if Peter loses, he has to give away his Twilight director’s chair backing!

200906141200.jpg David Slade, who will be directing the sequel to New Moon, Eclipse, has a new interview with Fearnet. He says–

What will differ about Slade’s Twilight? “I don’t really know. We haven’t even started shooting yet.” While the director says he has a basic idea of what he wants to do with it, he is more concerned with telling a good story than being “different.” “It is darker, and there is a lot more action than the previous two,” he admits. “The third book is from Bella’s point of view, but the film will be more objective.” And just how will he do that? “We are going to focus on the origin stories of several characters, like Jasper, and show how Bella will decide between Edward and Jacob.”

Read the whole piece over at Fearnet.

[thanks, all!]
