The sound tracks aren't really songs to do with the mood though. Its like songs that might be playing in the background or in the credits. So you like won't see any songs during the break up scene or when shes running to italy or when they are in the volturi layer (all thought that would be funny. Some cheesy old song going on in the background while they are discussing whether to kill Edward and Bella or not.)

OMG! I was driving home from vacation yesterday and that song came up on my MP3 player and I thought the same thing! I listened to it twice, just picturing that scene set to that song. I would DIE! I have chills right now.

Okay, I'm a fan of Coldplay and Chris Martin (THE BRITISH!!! and the fact that he has a daughter named APPLE!!!!!!!!!), but I wasn't familer with the song 'The Scientist'. So I youtube-ed it and watched the video, but mostly listened to the lyrics.
'The Scientist' I would say works well with the New Moon story. I'm not surprised it helped Stephenie with her writer's block. I say excellent choice, excellent band, but, naturally, not everyone realizes that Coldplay is awesome :]
