Plus, we didn't know what the wolves were going to look like or how the story would translate on screen. Posters, trailers, stills....whatever Summit gives us is exciting because so far, all we have are the words written on the pages of the books. The fact that these books are being turned into movies is incredibly exciting to all fans :)

I was excited.... LIKE REALLY REALLY excited just not SURPRISED.... everyone who has read the book is so excited for it to come to life.... I had chills as well...they just looked SURPRISED.
i was confused! and I'm wondering why they weren't in the clearing when Laurent can into the picture they were outside of Jacobs house??

I mentioned this on previous posts.... in almost every movie trailer, they take different shots of different scenes and piece them together to tell a story and entice people to see the movie. The order of the scenes in the trailer have nothing to do with the order of the scenes in the actual movie. Taylor even said in an interview that the shot of him standing up shirtless was in a completely different scene than the shot of him running, leaping, and phasing mid-air into a wolf. Don't take the order of the shots in the trailer literally. The movie will make more sense... everything will happen where it's supposed to happen and when it's supposed to happen.

I read the entire saga in under a week the first time and have read it countless times since so although I wasn't exactly surprised at what we saw I was still seriously excited to see a trailer of how they are going to reflect it on screen

And it looks to me as though the clip with Laurent in the clearing and then Jacob phasing outside his house are 2 different scenes edited together

They are 2 different scenes. Trailers shouldn't be taken literally. The movie's the only thing that should be taken literally ;)

Yup - I saw the first movie before I read the books, and I was kind of like 'oh, ok, that's alright' - then a friend forced me to read the book (and I've now read the whole series & the Host numerous times) and then the first one became much MUCH more exciting to watch - watching this teaser means so much more now that I know what the meaning is behind what's going on.

I know I was dying to see the wolves transformation - so that made me very very happy :)
