Jackson Rathbone Looking Forward to Eclipse

Jackson Rathbone was asked why they didn’t get much into his backstory during New Moon, and he told TeenMag–

“Well it doesn’t really come out too much in the book. It’s one of those things were it’s understood but in the third book it really comes out like the back story and everything.
“I think one of the things we didn’t want to get too much into was focusing on all the other vampires.
“We wanted really to establish this relationship and how she (Bella) gets sucked into the world of the Cullen family and once she’s in the world that’s when things kind of start coming out.
“One of the things about Jasper is he doesn’t use the ability all the time. It’s something that he’s very strict about using because it’s like an invasion of privacy to make someone feel something, to manipulate emotions.”

I dont think the wardrobe team is understanding Jasper's character. To be honest it took me a while to figure him out. Once you read Eclipse and BD (the scars) you understand his history. With that they really should have a better idea how to dress him up but so far they have failed miserably.

I hope that gets rectified in New Moon b/c I think understanding each of the Cullen's background gives the audience more understanding of where each character came from. I hope that they will bring up Carlisle's history somewhere in New Moon EVEN THOUGH it should have been in Twilight.

That's one of the things I love about the books.... each new book makes you discover something new about everybody, is not like they say each profile at the beginning in a rush..... you get to know the characters one by one and accept them like that, later you read their back story and you say "Oh that's why he/she is like that"..... and everything make sence and it makes you more interested in the story.....

I can't wait for Eclispe eather..... but for now I will re-read all the books as much as I can hahahaha....

I def agree with the comments about changing Jasper's hair. I LOVED it in Twilight, and HATE what it looks like for NM. I feel the exact same way about Alice's too. It looks more "pixie" like in Twilight-therefore, more like the description of Alice! :-(. get the wig Twilght wig back! it looks sooo much better. The bob is cute, but it doesn't look as much like Alice. :-(.

His hair is fine! It's more Civil War-ish. I think it looks fine. Some people just want what they can't have. But I can't wait for Eclipse! I'm DYING to see Jasper's story! If they get it wrong, I'll bite David Slade. Grr....... But, I'm also looking forward to the graduation party that Alice throws, the seduction scenes, and most of all, the PROPOSAL!

I am not a big fan of the hair, but it does go more along the lines of the Civil War style. You can see that with so many of the characters. The style that they embraced in their human lives carries over to their vampire existence. My only problem with the hair is that you can tell that it is a wig. We shouldn't be able to tell. I also really hope that we get more of the back story on the other vamps. I know they will be doing Rosalie's story because Summit is casting the role of Royce, so maybe we'll see more of Jasper's story, too...

Ok Summit and the production team need to get a grip. They keep messing with stuff improve a little and F*** up something else. Of all the things they could have improved they changed Jasper's hair???? Hellooooo that was one thing that was fine. They could have picked a better wig for crying out loud.

The hair looks fine. He couldn't use is own hair completely this time, because he had to cut it for his Last Airbender Movie. It is a little puffy, but I thought him and Edward's hair were both a little too puffy in Twilight, too. I like Rob's hair in NM better. Jacob's wig looks awesome, too.

I am going to get to go to Twicon in July, and I get to see 100 Monkeys perform and have a Brunch chat with Jackson on the last day! (It's him and only 500 of his "closest" friends!

I've had admired him so much since I saw him in Criminal Minds. We didn't get to see him enough in Twilight, but that is going to change for New Moon and Eclipse! Awesome!

I love the hair in twilight I think it was a lil over the top I mean their hair could be flat SM never said they spiked it up all random but I think this hair fits well I also thought Eclipse was pretty good but I loved BD just not how they could have ended it but chose not to............
