Jackson Rathbone to Headline New Movie

New Moon vamp Jackson Rathbone–who has had quite a few supporting roles lately–finally has a chance to shine front and center as the lead of an upcoming movie, Girlfriend–

” ‘Girlfriend’ is the chance to see Jackson front and center as the kind of character where, at any moment, we’re not sure if there’s the potentiality to cause harm or to be a good guy, but in a more gritty, realistic indie film,” writer/director Justin Lerner said in a recent conversation with MTV News.
Lerner, who will be making his feature-film debut, describes “Girlfriend” as a “harsh, modern-day take on the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ fable.” That’s not to say we’ll see Rathbone as a hirsute monster, nor that the film has any Disney-esque aspirations. Rather, the movie is a real-world story set in Middle America that will bring Rathbone into a “very bizarre and unconventional love triangle,” Lerner said.

He's actuaaly a really good actor. I saw an episode of Criminals Minds that he was the main character/killer in this episode and he was awesome. He played a guy that had a double personality. one male one female....the female liked killing jock type guys...it was awesome.....

I've heard about this.I'm glad he deicided to do something in indie scene, I love smaller movies. And I'm so glad he's producing it too. And the filming is even relatively soon, if they start in September they should finish it till mid October...so we'll probably have the movie in spring 2010...hahah I'm guessing. Though I'm confused...Eclipse filming starts in August, how is he going to make it to do both....I doubt he'll be able to finish his scenes so fast..but who knows.

this part is the best about his role:

"charming and dangerous lead, jealous and diabolical, where you're not going to know if you love him or hate him. That kind of complexity will be interesting for him to tackle. It's going to be a very dark and offbeat performance."

Jackson is probably one of the best actors in Twilight (if not the BEST!). I still can't really get over his Criminal Minds perfomance.
