I have seen them but have never thought about buying one until now. Having fanfic, the series, outtakes and all with me at ALL times could be deadly...im lovin the thought! Which one would you recommend? It is pricey? ...not that that really matters im willing to live on the streets for twilight.

The idea of having so many books in one manageable device is awesome. No more pages flipping in the wind, too heavy to hold up in bed, no one knowing what you’re reading. Travelling is easy. Your eyes don’t get tired. Sleek designs. They cost $300-350 (!!), but to me, worth it. I’m a little worried that new technology will keep forcing me to upgrade and buy new ones (as in all tech stuff), but I’ll deal with that.

First I got the Sony Reader. The Pros are that you can download to four different registered devices… reader, laptop, desktop, friend’s computer. Easy to drag-n-drop documents to it, such as Midnight Sun, etc. Cons are that you have to connect the Reader to a computer when you download the book. It’s a hassle. You also have to be on the computer to even buy the book. Books are only available on Sony site (a little more expensive and less selection than Amazon.)

So then I bought the Kindle because I’m weak and Oprah told me to. I gave my Sony to my husband. The BEST thing about the Kindle is that you can shop anywhere at any time (like in bed.) And you can get free samples to preview the books (which is how I found Twilight. After I read the sample, I downloaded all four books at once!) You shop directly on the Kindle, read reviews, access Wikipedia. Now, talking about MS and fan-fiction, you can download personal docs but it’s a little more effort than with a Sony (it has to be made compatible.)

You can only download to the one Kindle but, if you lose it, Amazon stores all your purchases and you can re-load your new device. You can search on a Kindle, look up the meanings of words, listen to audiobooks, etc. Just tons of features. By the way, Amazon sells magazine and newspaper subscriptions, but I haven’t progressed to that yet. Oh, books are cheaper, too. I bought Bel-Ami for 99 cents! The Cons are that the device itself was a little cumbersome, but I hear the new generation is improved (like the one Kellan is holding.)

Bottom line, I recommend the Kindle just for its ease of use. But also, it’s cooler and I think Amazon is more progressive.

I also purchased Bel-Ami out of curiosity when I heard Rob signed on for the role. :))) That was a month ago and I am still on page...7. *slaps hands* Another victim of fan fic...*shakes head* ;)

The older the book, the cheaper. Most new releases are $9.99 or less. But you can look up prices on amazon.com. They will tell you if what the Kindle price is.

My eyes start to bother me after reading fanfic too long on my laptop.
