Yes, they cut and dyed her hair....they can dye it back and use extensions or hair pieces for Eclipse. They used them in Twilight and New Moon to make her hair longer and fuller. Everyone just take a breath...

Who knew a celebrity's haircut could raise so many blood pressures? OH WAIT, I'm suddenly having flashbacks of a few months ago when Rob cut is hair and everyone got all "ZOMG HE ISN'T GOING TO LOOK LIKE EDWARD IN TIME!!" lol

And maybe she even isn't that tired, on some pics you can see really heavy eye shadow....so maybe it was smudged under her eyes. I like her hair, well from what I've seen under that hoody. Black looks good on her.
And you're right, hair extensions will work perfectly for Eclipse. Even with longer hair she had them in Twilight and NM to make it even longer. So I doubt wig is even and option. And her hair will grow a bit till the end of August. So it will be cool.

I am excited for her, she was really enthusiastic about this role....it was something that she really wanted to do. And she has Joan's total suport which I think means a lot to Kristen. I'm sure it will be awesome :)

I think the girl has gone through a physical and emotional upheaval in the last few days trying to get ready for this role. She is spending hours in a studio learning music, playing guitar and trying to get into this role mentally. I am exhausted just thinking about her work schedule, lol.

I can't wait to see her as Joan Jett. Wonder if that is the guitar that Rob bought her.

I could not agree more. Honesty, as much as I ADORE ROB, he does not look great in EVERY picture they take of him. Why are people so quick to judge this girl and give Rob a pass at every turn. As you said, they are humans and they just want to lead as normal a life as possible. We can not imagine what she is going through at the moment trying to prepare for this role and I think people need to give her a break.

I, for one, think that the whole Robsten thing detracts from the film and seeing it constantly annoys the hell outta me. But I don't really care who Rob dates...I'm not one bit interested in that. He could date a guy and I'd be thinking the exact same thing.

What I know alot of people take issue with, is the fact that there's been no direct news as to whether her and her BF have indeed broken up. And if she was carrying on a relationship with Rob while being with Michael then that's just REALLY not cool.

This debate can go on forever, and fankly there is not proof one way or the other so for people to say NO WAY is ignorant too.
I think anything related to their personal lives, following him around NYC for senseless photo ops and same with Kristen takes away from the movie. Unfortunately, people have this need to hear news, even if it is unimportant to the movies.

Regarding Kristen and her BF, we don't know what is up with that, but regardless of what was going on, it take two to tango. If this is true, why is Rob not to blame as much as Kristen? I think IF they are involved, they may have made a effort to wait for the other relationship to end, JMO! IF there is more with them, they both made this decision together and honestly, you can't help who you fall for. It happens all the time and who are we to judge.

Bottom line, I am interested in their films and if they want to be together that is fine with me, if not it is also fine.

See my only issue...is that people are taking it as fact, but other things that they don't want to believe all of a sudden are just 'rumors' or peopler being 'haters'.

I understand what you are saying, but we don't know what is fact. If you look at it rationally, there is more reason to believe it is true due to there undeniably closeness and other things. Of course they could just be nothing more than friends (which would be fine).

Unfortunatley, there are many people that have a problem with it because they have a definite opinion of who they invision him with or for that matter they don't think anyone is good for him. I adore Rob, but he is not GOD, just a average guy who is incredibly sexy on so many levels. I am sure he will make many decisions in his life that most will not agree with, but the point is, it is his life and we have no say in it.

I totally get what you're saying and I agree. I mean I have no interest whatsoever with Rob and I doubt that I would if I ever met him either. And you're right that we have no say in it...but the constant speculation wears thin...quickly. I don't even like reading mags with stuff about celeb's personal lives...the whole thing annoys the hell outta me! Great comment Vampire_Vixen! I think this is a really hard role and she is concentrating on doing a good job! Plus, she doesn't always smile at paps because there are times when they are more unwelcome than others.. it gets on her nerves just like it gets on Rob's and Kellan's, etc. They are intrusive and it can piss them off sometimes.

I also love Kristen's look all the time, no matter how she looks, she's cool.

I personally do not consider CH apart of my Twilight universe. She was a director, who sucked. Maybe that is hypocritical, but a director is completely different from the cast who are permanent fixtures in all the Twilight movies.

@ RobismyRomeo AND Lady Hale: I also remember the article where Megan Fox said 20-something guys like Rob are a waste of time. And there was a lot of really harsh Megan Fox bashing. After a while, it made me sort of uncomfortable. People can get personal with their criticisms and it's sad.

I like Megan Fox...I think she has a great deal of talent. But this is an example of how bias can come into it too. I wasn't biased against Megan so when she said that I wasn't upset by it or anything like that. It may have been harsh but it was her opinion and who am I to get upset over it.
But there was ALOT said about her that was just NOT on. I get that people see that some of my comments about KStew are disrespectful...I have respect for her as a fellow human being but that's pretty much where it ends but I try not to say anything that's outright nasty.

I think that's sort of the point. we all have things that bother us to hear or read. And whether we admit it or not, there are some comments we feel the need to stand up against. On this particular thread, I just didn't like how the topic of Kristen's hair got so blown out of proportion because it was such a trivial topic.

But on other threads, like the Megan Fox one, it bothered me that so many people called her a tramp and wh*** because those are degrading terms. I guess the feminist in me doesn't want people to think it's okay to call women by those names. If women do it to each other, then how are we to stop guys from doing it to us? I was under the impression that "Hater" only stood for those unfortunate souls out there who refuse to watch Twilight because its a stupid chick flick or refuse to read the books because its for 14 year old losers fixated on a two-dimensional fictional character?

People who are on this site clearly are not haters. They are fans of the movie, the books, Stephenie, or all three. Of course you get your random 13 year old boy who takes time to create a user name for the purpose to write "twilight sucks" 50 times on a RP post, but thats besides the point.

We are all entitled to our opinions. Of course we will not all agree on how the books come alive on screen because we all imagined the story differently. I for one imagined Bella very very different. I think Kristen is a great actress for other roles but she is not my Bella. Some scenes in Twilight were painful for ME to watch. For some of you, she may be your Bella and thats fine with me. I despise Catherine. Some of you may love her (this is beyond me but maybe it comes with age). I like to express my opinion. If I wasnt passionate about the story I wouldnt find the need to.

I am not a hater either, but find that if I put something on here that has the smallest dislike about something (say the way Rob wears his socks)...then everyone wants to burn you at the stake. I dunno, the issue of whether or not she does it is totally separate. Yes, there was a picture, but does she do it regularly? blah blah blah. Totally different issue.

The issue I personally had with the tone of the negative comments (not just yours) were that they were about something trivial like the way she looks, and that they accused her of doing drugs. Which can be defamatory.

And of course, this whole thing blew up into a big fight among Twilight fans who are here for a common purpose - to gush over all things Twilight. All I was trying to promote was positivity rather than this high level of stress over what an actress looks like in one picture... not the stomping on of people's different opinions.

She is a far better actress than many of you want to give her credit. I have yet to see her in a movie in which she was not perfectly cast. i am a fan of hers and robs... rob is not perfect; and all of his pictures are not always perfect neither; but he does not recieve the same treament of negativity in higher doese like kristen does...they both made twilight big as a movie due to the chemistry because the script and director suck; so y do he get all the postivity and she gets the negativity?..ok so people don't like her; big deal..i only defend her when people say stuff like "she don't smile; her fashion sucks; she's a pot head; she trailer trash; dirty; nasty etc"...i defend her when people try to say negative stuff about her based on personal stuff (eg; her not smiling)..i mean big deal if she doesn't; she might be one of those people who just doesn't smile...it's funy because she and rob are similiar in a lot of ways and who knows if he has done drugs or pot or other stuff privately...people make him up to be spotless and kristen to be stained...but like i said; ur entitled to your opinion and i am to mines

however; sometimes a person's motive for liking or disliking someone is valid or important and should be taken into account.
for example; someone might not like her based on her acting/ or that infamous comment she made about the fans (which was taken out of context by the way); u get my point. but this person i wouldn't bash their opinion because their motive for not liking her has evidence according to them and though i might differ on their opinion; they might still consider the reason valid..so no; this person is not consider a hater to me...

now; another person might hate her based on the fact she gets to kiss rob; or say her attitude stinks; or just based on personal stuff that they do not have evidence of and have not met her in person...it's ok to not like someone; but making up stories and in kristen case; because she gets to kiss rob and stuff; i think it's pure jealousy and hatred because that person don't know her personally..it is still an opinion; but it doesn't mean the motive behind it is not jealousy or something else....remember when rumors were going around that rob stink and everyone of us fans got mad..o and they kept reporting "sources said this"...thats the kind of hate i am talking about; because people were hating on rob and had no evidence of if he really smell..it was stupid; because they had not met him to inhale his smell and they were jealous because he was becoming the "it guy" and wanted to ruin his glory..i call that hating even though it's an opinion which was lacking evidence..just because something is an opinion doesn't mean it do not screams hate....just thought i make my point clear

also to say something; i use the word hate sometimes loosely; but i do however know it's a strong word; but haters implies to people who constantly bash people on stuff even when the person is doing a positive thing....for example; i was on popsugar when they had pics of rob in cannes auctioning himself off for kisses for AIDS charity.. most of the girls on there were like "eww; he smokes; and stink and i won't kiss that; and blah blah."..it's an opinion; but is it one of hate?..i mean gosh; the man is doing it for charity (a positive thing); and plus he look well groom from those pics..so u tell me; if it's hate or what was the motive of them making those statement?

I'm excited to see the finished product and will try not to judge until I see it. She could easily be wearing her own clothes and her own attitude here and not be playing Joan Jett for the paps, so we shouldn't judge her acting ability for this movie by this picture.

I wish I could see more of her hair to get a better image, but alas...no. I'm sure she hates it as well but, as well all know...hair grows back. And if it doesn't grow back fast enough, they make more hair, and they can dye it. So this shouldn't be an issue for Eclipse.

Of course! Just let the girl be! She is who she is.

She just looks tired from working probably 12 hours straight. She looks like I did when I got home from a 12 hour car drive from vacation. I'm not about to judge her. The girl works hard. And matter of fact, I love the look. Her hair isn't even as short as I thought. And she already wore extensions for Twilight because you can easily tell her hair in her normal life is more layered and not as straight and thick, so I have no worries they can make her look like Bella again. She needed to get into the Joan Jett character. A wig would have been cheesy. I commend her for getting into the role so much, afterall, she was so thrilled to be in the movie and I think she'll be great.

i think that shes a person just like everyone else. she looks exhausted but then again i cant imagine being her right now ever since twilight. if it were me i dont think i would have had a good nights sleep in a long time. i think everyone is entitled to their own opinions as well but i think that often times we (including me) forget that all these actors are just people and we have to give them a break sometimes. i am not the biggest kristen stewart fan but i think she does a pretty good job in her roles.

ok; off topic..it's really been bugging me for a while..i know we all want steph to finish midnight sun; but i am kind of worry that she might ruin it..i am also excited for the filming of Eclipse; but seem kinda emotional and on edge as Eclipse is one of my favorite; my first favorite of the series; follow by NM and then the rest....

i am worry about steph meyer finishing midnight sun because i don't think she will capture edward's mind the way; realistically speaking; she should.. i know she is the author and people might think i am stupid; but i can give u hints as to why i think that...first off; i have been reading a lot of good fanfics; (wide awake (not the twilight story theme; just the characters); edward's eclipse (great) http://www.twilightarchives.com/viewstory.php?s... and other ones) that capture edward's mind... the link here is the link to Edward's Eclipse written by Vixen 1836 on twilightarchives.com; and boy; she's good...i haven't read the whole thing yet; u guys should take a look. she captures his mind so brilliantly and is more realistic.

i think steph meyer might mess up midnight sun from edward POV(in eclipse) because in chapter 23; steph makes edward look like a little wuss and unrealistic. bella kisses jacob and edward isn't mad at her; he defends her saying stuff like she's only human; and even bella says ""thats the most miserable defense i've ever heard". my point is; she shows us that edward is a vamp; but can still have human feelings; but in eclipse; she kind of lost track and make him seem like a vamp who does'nt care if his finacee kisses someone else and cries in his shoulder all night over her feelings for someone else; and in the end confesses how she do see a futrue or did see a future with jake (confessing this to jake not edward). steph to me down plays the very essence of human emotions that edward feels due to how she writes him as understanding; defending bella's actions etc and gosh; it's unrealistic how he forgives her too quickly..o; talk about a slap in the face when she goes and confesses to jake and then cries all night in his arms over jake and stuff... i mean; come on; the man had to be jealous and scared that she might choose jake and thats why the link to the Edward's Eclipse story should be read...i hope steph shows how edward struggle with all this crap in eclipse and be more realistic...after all; eward said it himself in twilight; "i might not be human; but i am a man"; therefore; a very realistic man will be upset and mad even if he has crazy love for his girl over her kissing someone else and confessing how she feels about that person.

i know the jake fans might say; edward cause this because he left her....but we all know why he left and i do however like how he tells jake in eclipse that "he jake do not have a choice"... but seriously; bella use jake (i hate her for that). i thought the love bella felt for jake was always out of sympathy than real love and thats why she couldn't leave edward. hers and edward's love wasn't out of sympathy. i always thought edward was the right one for bella and not jake.. but i also thought this because like edward said in eclipse; jake would imprint on his soulmate; and that soulmate isn't bella; and if bella had choosen jake; she would have been the sad one in the end because he'd have no choice but to leave her once he imprinted on someone else. and edward said he would be waiting in the wings once this happen...i like this part because it shows edward to be logical and realistic as a person. but i just hope steph makes his character in midnight sun more realistic and logical because he is that.

I agree with you regarding Edward's POV. I have been re-reading Midnight Sun...and I HATE to say this...but, I almost prefer not knowing every thought that runs through his mind. The way Steph wrote him is kinda wussy...like NOTHING is left to the imagination as far as his thoughts. His mystery, from Bella's POV in Twilight, is part of what made him shamelessly attractive. I'm not bashing Stephenie in any way...after all...it is HER story to tell...just stating my personal opinion.

I get what you are saying. I felt the same way about Edward in Eclipse, but when I read it the second time, I think that the guilt Edward felt for what he did to Bella was so strong, he understood how it happened. Edward being the selfless Vamp he is, would never tell Bella how badly it hurt him because he feels he deserves it. That's my take on it anyway.

Vampire Vixen I feel your pain, lol. I also agree eith BronteFan in that Edward did feel incredible guilt and could not deny that his actions caused her and Jacob to become more than friends. I think at this point, he was so in love with her and wanting her to just be happy that he would have even accepted whatever she decided. We know he was insanely jealous, but his concern for what she wanted was outweighing his needs. She was giving up so much for him (becoming a vampire) and since it was not what he wanted for her he had to allow her to feel the human emotions (even it is was with Jacob) that he feared she would miss. JMO.

Yes, edward is full of angst and has this huge self deprecating characteristic about him. the same things we love about our dear edward are the same things that are his 'flaw' (if there could be such a thing)

Yes, self sacrificing big time. IMO, he was so afraid to lose her completely, he did not want to push her into that decision. Deep down, I think he knew she would choose him, but his guilt over her becoming like him was making him wonder what was best for her.

Kristen is really rocking this look. In fact, I think this look fits her more! As far as her acting goes, I will reserve judgment til I have seen the movie. I have seen some of the other movies she has been in (other than Twilight) and I must say I don't really remember her all that well. I intend to rewatch them so I can get a better opinion. I never suggested that she should look like Bella Swan forever. Never even hinted towards that. I just stated, that in MY opinion, it looks horrible. I know Joan Jett's hair was extremely short in the front, almost a mullet style, I get that. So Kristen can cut her hair off to get into character for Joan Jett, but what about Bella? Her hair wont' grow back in time. So she'll have to get extensions or wear a wig then. ah well!

Either way. I don't think she was a good pick for playing Joan Jett. No matter what they do w/ her hair, it won't make her a better actress.

Kristen was already getting hair extensions for Twilight and New Moon. You may not like Joan Jett hair style, but it was who she was in the 80's, you can't get Kristen to have a completely different hair cos it would not be truthful to who Joan was.

I've seen people be open and honest about what they feel but it's not like there are people here that are purposefully trying to defame her or anything.

Probably will color it back to brown/auburn .. and put in hair extensions. But you would think that her "style" for the Twilight Saga would be her FIRST priority over any other roles. (keeping that style). Ashley Greene cut her hair off for New Moon .. then she had another role coming up, and we seen her wearing hair extensions for that part...

The Twilight saga isn't her life.She has other stuff she needs to work on. It's how she makes a living. She will look 100% like Bella in time for Eclipse. Hair extensions and dye aren't suffering from supply shortages ;) It'll all be okay.

I understand about the paparazzi, I can't stand them either. But, at the same time when you want to be an actor, they come with the job....deal with it. These actors are getting paid alot of money for these movies, and all that money is not just for being able to cry on que. And, "unfortunately" for her, people care about what she is doing right now. Do you know how many wanna-be actors would love the kind of attention she is getting right now? So, her and Pattinson just need to suck it up, take it for what it is and just enjoy the moment. Becuase in about 5 years IF nobody gives a crap about them, they are gonna be missing this attention.

Now, I am no way condoning the behavior of the paps, they definately invade a persons privacy and personal space, but I am just trying to keep it real....They knew that this was always a possibility for them...

Due to Twilight, you are getting all of the attention and no privacy! If you don't like it then then quit, lay low and don't do many films or stick to just doing indie films that don't make it to the huge theaters and people won't give you so much attention. But right now with all of these Twilight movies they agreed to do...ha...you can kiss your privacey goodbye for the next several years. Also, if she's going to hang around Rob...that's not going to help either, but if that's what you want...deal with it - it comes with the territory. I think she is going to be amazing in her new movie and I love that she went all the way to make her look authentic. For those worried about Eclipse, it will grow back and the magic of extensions will make you think she never cut her hair.

Out of all the casts of New Moon, I think Kris has the most heavy schedule. She finished last in Van., then in Italy she and Ashley were the last ones to be filmed, back to LA after MTV award, then she backs to work the next day.....photo shoot, meeting and now rehearsal. Come on, the girl is working hard, and she is a tough cookie. Of course, when you begin a heavy work load, don't expect them to smile all the time. Look at her, she carries the whole bunch of stuff: bag, instrument....and paps. just are in your faces.

She does look tired. But she has have a lot of work, event and meeting to attend. So I think she handles very well and she looks very pretty, even with a new short hair. It will grow back, don't worry fan. by the way, I took a flight back to Asia (12 hours different), the next morning, my eyes looked tired and i looked like i just got out the underground, 100 times worsen then Kris and that's just one night flight. She's a tough girl. I love you Kris.

Alex, I could not agree more. The girl spent most of the time in Italy haveing to run all over the place and still had a big smile on her face.
She even went out of her way to sign autograhps and speak with the fans, something that Rob was criticized for not doing. She was working late hours up until the day before she leaves. Goes to MTV still with smiles and is back to work everyday still smiles. I don't get the hate or the negative comments. She is 19, but acts very mature beyond her years and does not go around acting like a diva. She just works very hard and tries to stay out of trouble.

what people seem to forget is that these people are humans..i work as a nurse and it's torturing and i look tire most of the time...now; my job is hard; but the actors also work hard too...i mean kristen just did new moon; had like a week break; now it's off to another movie; hell yeah; she will be exhusted..it's no big deal; and no she is not stone...people are so judgemental and negative..i swear; this is disgusting. anwayz; i love that she's starting to embody joan and i can't wait to see her in it.

so, as New Moon dwendles down as they are now onto editing. I am all about the Runaways, doing all my homework and I am super excited. I cannot wait to see Kristen do this role, she is putting so much into it and that makes me appreciate it so much more. I love her and always have ever since I saw her in panic room.

Please, someone tell me what is the problem with this girl? I have not seen her smile, she always looks tired and old for 18, maybe too and I mean (toooooooooo) many Cigarettes and not enough food.

There is something just not quite healthy with this girl.

I personally thought she was a mess at the MTV Awards, finger-combing her hair, bouncing her head, barely speaking up, not a good image for confidence.

I have to say, this isnt Kristen's shining hour. She looks a little tired, just a smidge. Poor girl. Everyone should leave her alone and let her get some real rest. I mean, she just looks a mess. I agree with @twibi that i understand she can't always look her best but this is just a little grubby. I'm sorry Kstew, I think it's time you cleaned up your act a bit darling. The "I just spent the last three weeks off my face and i can't smile or i might actually look happy" thing is relaly getting old. For such a pretty girl, she isn't doing much to proove its not all photoshop.
