Hey Michael...in my opinion you are much better looking than Rob...and a heck of a better actor. I've seen some great films you have done. Rob can never hold a candle to you. He has a lot to learn and he isn't that great of an actor. I'd rather hang out with an intelligent and brilliant actor such as yourself and learn something rather than some guy who's just getting by on his looks. If it weren't for Twilight, Rob wouldn't be going anywhere in the movie business. Everyone just wants him in his movie because they know it will bring a big box office draw. It has nothing to do with his acting abilities. If he came out with the worst movie ever made with lousy acting - all the young girls would be making his movie #1 and nominating him for the 'best actor' award at the Oscars. Pleeeaaaaseee!!!

While you are entitled to your opinion on looks, as well as acting chops. You should also be fair...Pattinson is very talented for his age, and his other movies were wonderfu. I think he was great in HP and wonderful in How to BE. He has excellent potential to be an even greater actor someday. Michael Sheen is certainly a wonderful actor in his own right, but he has been doing it alot longer than Pattinson. So, he obviously has an upper hand there.

As far as looks go, I think that both of them are very attractive. And unfortuantely, that is the way Hollywood is - Sex sells. Sad, but true. So, yes, you may think that Pattinson is only being cast because of his looks but that would not get him so many roles afterwards. Even hollywood knows that looks fade after a while and people need to rely on talent more than anything, and I while I think that Pattinson's looks will not go away, I like to think that by the time he is Michael's age, he is going to be a wonderful actor, gaining the respect of hollywood and people like you.....

Now, having said that - I hope that one day, when Pattinson does get nominated for an Oscar, I hope you choke on your tongue....

Even though his looks obviously had a big deal in his casting, the fact is they auditioned who know how many really good looking actors. And Catherine Hardwicke said that they could cast some model very easilly but they just couldn't act. The thing that got him his role was exacthy his ability to ACT.
I find it funny because everyone is at his throat about that and the truth is his looks weren't the first factor when they cast him.

I've seen "How to be" too, he was great in it. At some points he got me laughing so hard. He can do natural, awkward comedy so well.

I heard he got the role of Edward because of his MAD MAKE-out skills....(which is totally fine by me) LOL

I loved that movie! Art is such a different character from Edward...And I was really pleasantly surprised at how well he played the part.... He really puts himself into his roles. Love him.

I love Rob and I think he's got a great personality and he's CAPABLE of bringing a lot to a role. That said, I hope that in Eclipse and BD he channels more "Lovey-dovey-Edward" and less "Melodramatic-Edward." Whenever I read Eclipse especially, I see such a romantic, sappy Edward and I hope Rob shows that on-screen. :) Ditto w/ the end of New Moon when Edward comes back and reassures Bella that he loves her. That scene was the only reason I could even finish New Moon... I was excited to get sappy Edward back :-D

Unless I am very much mistaken (and please correct me if I am) Michael Sheen (the actor not Lucian the character) had a steady relationship with Kate Beckinsdale (and even slugged actor Jeremy Northam over it, I heard) in which they had a baby together. That relationship ended during the filming of the first Underworld movie.

based on the interviews they've been doing, I can't imagine him, Dakota, or Jamie NOT returning as the Volturi. The worst thing that could happen would be something like a conflict between films (one actor trying to do two films at once).. we'll all collectively hope that doesn't happen!

Well that's what I mean. I know the only reason they wouldn't sign onto sequels is conflicting schedules... but I'm scared that will happen given that Michael and Dakota are both really successful working actors. They are constantly filming new movies. Hopefully the put the Twi sequels before anything else though ;) And hopefully Summit contacts them ASAP after getting the schedule situated. I really don't want anymore re-casting.

That is what I am hoping. For those actors it is only a week's filming at the very least so they could work it around other projects unless they were too far away. Hoping anyway.

Is Underworld really gory/scary? I'm a wimp.. hehe.. I'm curious about it, but I don't particulary care for make-you-jump-and-want-to-barf-and-then-not-be-able-to-fall-asleep movies. lol.

They're dark (like, actually dark,they mostly take place at night).... there are a couple parts where it gets quiet and then something jumps out but that's rare. The gore is minimal and it doesn't look scary. They're not scary movies. There is a lot of action - way more than Twilight because they're totally diferent stories - but there is also some romance and it's really sweet. Overall they're all great movies - all 3 of them. I recommend them.

No, I didn't find it to be gory/scary at all. There is violence, but I think it's in the horror section because of the characters. The first one is not too bad- if that's too much for you to stomach, don't watch the others, though.

I agree with RIMR and mschicklet. It's classified as Horror in video stores, but that's not an accurate descritpion at all. It's action, not overly bloody, but tons of action. RIMR's right though, test yourself with the first one.
