But I see this like one way of promoting every character individually.

Talking about "trying to shove somebody down people's throats"... excuse me? In the middle of the Robsession with the entire production being promoted through Rob and Rob only, I can't believe that one tiny pic with Jacob in the middle is supposed to force him on us. Especially when he was so poorly underrepresented in the Teaser/Trailer.
And it's not like Jacob is an important character, no he's just a sidekick jumping around in the background, occationally popping his head into the picture, shaking his 24-pack into the camera and saying "WOOF". *rolling eyes*
Jacob is ESSENTIAL to New Moon, he gets reintroduced as a werewolf, Bella's best friend and support and Edward's arch enemy and most importantly, the third main character, so of course he deserves some attention. Though I don't consider the center position of a table calendar shot anywhere near worthy of what he's entitled to.


And I don't know how you can be so poorly informed, but I don't know anything about a lack of chemistry between Kristen and Taylor, so I suppose with "there's talk about" you mean such intellectual masterminds as Lainey Gossip and Pariz Hilton.
Kristen never leaves out an opportunity to express her love for Taylor, as does the rest of the cast. He's a sweet, wonderful person and absolutely capable of putting up some healthy competition for Rob.

Ok, as it is obvious that I'm a Team Edward and ROB-lover by my name, I must say I agree w/ you chick!!! It pisses me off that people tend to go against Taylor simply because he's NOT Rob... HELLO!!! I found Twilight through facebook pieces of flair. So many people were talking about it I got curious and watched the movie with my wife, and then got addicted and read all the books in rapid succession (she was so distraught by Edward leaving in NM that we stayed up all night to read it in one sitting).

Problem was, at that time facebook was pretty solidly Team Edward in a violent way. I kept seeing flair like "I want to La Push Jacob Black off a cliff" etc. So I went into the books expecting Jacob to be the "bad guy" so to speak. When he became all charming in NM I figured he must end up a scoundrel. Like Team Jacob was Team Wickham or Team Willoughby. I was very confused.

I kept waiting and waiting for Jake to turn evil, but he never did! Did he do everything right? Heck no, but cut him a break he's 16 and totally inexperienced in the relationship department! By the time BD was done I was both a huge Jacob fan and pretty ticked at all the Jake-hating. I just won't stand for that anymore (hence my fursplosion the other day)

I know people were so narrow minded when it came to Jake's character just because he was helping Bella after Edward chunked her the deuce and offering her another option. So stupid! He is my fav character hands down by far and was the most developed character from Twilight to Breaking Dawn. I'm Team Jacob for his character and what he represents not because I wanted Bella with him because in all honesty her and Edward deserved each other. I was just pissed when Steph gave him a damn leech hybrid to be his soul mate when clearly it should have been the incomparable Leah Clearwater, but that's another story for me. But yeah Team Jacob baby!

First thing i noticed about this was the placement of the character.... WHY ISNT BELLA IN THE MIDDLE!?
its not a story about jacob hes a secondary character (and an annoying one at that). that annoys me that hes in the middle.
anyway ill still buy it, i wont need to look at the cover ill look at the other pictures.

If anybody is annoying in that entire saga, it was whiny and dense Bella.

AHHH. I hate waiting for everything! I really hope the movie can live up to this hype. I really don't know if I will be able to survive such a HUGE build up to this and have the movie fall short. I think that no matter what, the book will always be better. The only movies that I think could match up to the book are some of the Harry Potter movies, not all of them tho.

I really hope the NM movie will live up to the hype that we have built up. I`ve never been som excited for a movie -ever! But this time they do have more money and they have the fanbase so they can make this movie a little bit longer if they have to and don`t have to worry that no one will go see it if it`s 3 h long and so on..lol

i wish they would post more pictures from new moon. in twilight we had a bunch. and they had two trailer teasers back to back basically. but maybe they will eventually? the suspense is killing me!

I am hoping for a new trailer...I mean, that one they showed at MTV was really great, but I don't think it embodied the whole point of the film...

I think they will make a new one closer to release, they have GOT to show the volturi and more of the pack at some point!

It is a "teaser", just meant to tease us. Wet our appetites, give us a little something until they can get a real trailer together a little closer to the movie coming out.

Did it's job, I think. Made me anxious to see more! A little bit of Edward, Bella, the Cullens, Jacob; a couple of key scenes, an "I love you". Can't wait for more

Oh I think they will DEFINITELY release a new trailer. It's common to release a teaser version first, and come on, let's be honest, we all know which part of it was the biggest tease. A trailer about New Moon with 2.5 seconds of Jake in it? I don't think so.
Plus they just had finished in Italy, so there was no chance of including the Voluri scenes, might as well be the case with the CGI for the pack.
Also, they show a lot of Bella's and Edward's break up and its circumstances, and very little about the middle section and the end of the story. Very untypical for a trailer if you consider the fact they have to introduce the WHOLE story to a potentionally unknowing audience.
(Not that I could think of anybody alien enough who might not know about that)

I really like the placement of the characters, actually. Kristen's expression is incredible. She looks hurt, but is looking toward Jacob. Jacob looks extremely determined, and we know that fits with his character really well. He goes after what he wants. Edward is looking off to the side, like he is leaving. His expression is hard to read, but he looks determined as well. Is it just me, or does something look odd in his eyes? I remember in New Moon, that is what Bella was thinking, that after she got the papercut, something seemed wrong in his eyes. Maybe I am just delusional, but I think that distance is there in his eyes, in this picture.
