Ahhhh I still can't believe people are upset. This is a TEASER trailer. It's supposed to give you a very small glimpse of a very large movie. Each shot they showed was a tiny portion of its scene. The scenes will all be longer and more in-depth. In the movie, Bella will show more emotion, the shots will all take place in the correct order, and everyone will feel silly for complaining about the TEASER trailer - which you should all remember is just trailer 1 of probably 3 trailers that will be shown prior to the movie being released. Instead, how about celebrating! We finally saw a trailer!! And in a couple months (my guess is before Harry Potter in July) we will see a full-length trailer and that will give us a slightly larger glimpse. But isn't it fair to reserve judgment about the scene chronology and the acting until the actual movie comes out and you see it in all its 2 hour long glory? Happiness, people. Summit finally gave us something. Finally! And so far, this movie looks better than Twilight.

thank you. this is very everyone an i hope people will read this. this is a glimpse of the movie. don't judge the movie by its trailer. summit and cw were not forced to do this. they probably were asked to a trailer for the mtv but they could have said no and had as all wait until august. remember they just finished filming. cw was in italy and probably told the editors what should be in the trailer but really didn't have any say on how it should be. he is working has but off to make this movie the best and better than twilight. instead of probably going on vacation with his fmaily after working 2 months straight on this film he is making sure every scene that should be there is there and not taken off. he needs to have to put the music and cgi in there to make it an amazing movie. he needs to make sure that if a scene needs improving it gets taken care of immediately. i hate spoilers for both movies and tv shows. i like to be shocked and having the OMFG. moment.

I'm sure Weitz had a lot to do with what was in the trailer. Visual effects are his specialty. But I think the trailer was incredible considering it was just a teaser. I can't wait to see what he did with the rest of the movie when it comes out. I'm nothing but hopeful of his abilities.

I got a little frustrated with the trailer but when I thought about it the movie Twilight wasn't exactly like the book. Some of the stuff I thought should be in the movie from the book, wasn't. I still think the movie will kick a**. I'm just expecting it to follow the main key scenes for the book.

Hey twi-lovers! We did it! Our movie and favorite people in the world won. It pays to vote. Thank goodness Hollywood can see what was THE best movie of the year. No inside politics here, This was fan based. The true test. I totally agree with you about the trailer. They try to give an us an over-all look at the movie, which I thought was wonderful. If it showed too much in sequence, there'd be no surprises. I was thrilled. I felt soo bad for Kristen when she dropped her award. Bless here heart. No problem Kristen. Just shows us you're human. I thought that teaser trailer was awesome, no matter what anyone says. It looked 100 times better than Twilight looked. And, yes, a lot of the scenes in the teaser were all mixed together to confused us. If you pay attention of the clothing that Bella and Jacob were wearing, then you'll notice that the clothing don't match. And it is ridiculous to complain about a teaser trailer. We have to remember that they just finished filming the movie less than one week ago. This is already a lot of editing they had to crunch in a short amount of time. I'm proud of what I saw.

Kristen is too confident when she says "Kiss me", Bella is insecure...and Kristen's eyebrows irritate me!! Yes! I'm being a hater now! LOL Overall the movie looks like it's gonna kick A$$!

For your information Bella does not cry when Edward leaves her, she goes into shock just like we saw in the trailer, and there is nothing wrong with her lifting her eyebrows, I see this another case of jeolusy overcoming your judgement and if you would had paid attention to the story, or read it four times like I have, I would had known that Kris' performance is spot on with what happened in the break up scene.

In some of her movies, she sort of does play "Kristen Stewart the character" -- as in, sometimes you see her as Kristen Stewart rather than "such and such character." But let's give her a chance. Maybe she'll do great in the movie. It's hard to tell from such a small clip, but so far I think she's holding her own pretty well. They only showed us a few seconds of a several-minute scene.

I think what we see on her face is utter disbelief that this is happening to her. Listen to her breath just as she is laying down. She gasps - tears or shock? - it's hard to tell.

I hope you both keep the faith. It is difficult to dissect such a small clip.

Remember that Bella vascillates between confidence and anxiety. Like most teenagers, she isn't just one way all the time. Regarding her asking for the kiss, she hasn't wanted any acknowledgement on her birthday, yet she feels entitled to ask Edward for the kiss.

In the book, Edward says something to the effect of, you can't have it both ways. Not acknowledging and then asking for birthday presents.

Again, the confused teenager who is not consistent.

I think we'll get a much better representation with New Moon and hope you both are excited and looking forward to the best outcome for our beloved characters.

Trust me, I know...the first couple of times I watched it, I was like...WTF? What is that about....this isn't right...and that part isn't right.....but after watching it countless times, I realized just how spliced the shots were....so it's really hard to pick on it when we haven't seen it from start to finish. Twilight was the same way., that whole parking lot scene with Emmett & Edward " she's not one of us" didn't even land in the movie!!! That's how Summit pulls you in, that's how they get ya with yer tongue hanging out waiting & wanting for more! Marketing magic at it's best!

As was stated earlier. These clips are just that CLIPS. No sequence. I thought it was wonderful. Just makes me want to see it NOW. I love Kristen. Who knows what emotion she shows? think they're purposely not showing that, because it is so heart rending. I think she will do well, I really do. We'll just have to wait and see. This saga is really addicting. I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised.

Bella is supposed to be freaking out on the inside...like you can't feel anything all of a sudden. I guess we've only seen a couple of seconds of her reaction but overall, i think it's better that we are expecting. we won't know until we see the movie. the eyebrow is quite daring but in a sexy way...i guess, in context, it'd be great!

But we do need to wait to see the whole outcome. As far as her confidence in asking for that kiss? At that point they had been togeher for a while now and we didnt see the moments leading up to it. But I know it caught me a little off guard as well, not use to seeing Bella that way. But she doesnt stay totally shy and timid all the way through the books either so I guess we'll have to wait (UNFORTUNATELY) and see.

Its not stupid nor is it unsual! People do often to that with books. I totally get what your saying about reading New Moon and it making you feel that way. I have the exact same problem, but not really because of placing myself in her shoes. My problem is that I instantly flashback to breaking up with my own first love after over four years together and I felt exactly like Bella did where its just so painful that you're pretty much catatonic so whenever I read New Moon all of those painful feelings instantly come right back as if it had just happened that day. It usually takes me at least a week or so to snap back out of it. Needless to say, like you, New Moon is my least favorite to read for that reason alone.

Just because everything was so different, but as everyone has said, that was a TEASER, meant to get ppl talking and anticipating even more than they already are, and we don't know what will actually make it into the movie. I'm hoping that they just wanted to start the trailer with a kiss and that they're showing some scenes out of sequence. Edward's so sullen that I think it's actually when he has just brought her back from the tragic bday party. I just finished like my 5th reading of NM and in that scene Bella's very concerned with how far away Edward feels that she tries to lighten things up by bringing up her bday and asking for a kiss. In the book it's in her room, but I'm trying to accept that they change little things like that. For me, if it's that scene they're pretty spot on, otherwise she's too cocky and he's too morose.

The trailer is AMAZING!!! Please keep in mind they just finished fiming the movie 5 days ago-they are not even done editing it or adding music. They showed the preview as is as a FAVOR to all the fans-so lets not be so critical and be grateful!!! I thought it looked amazing. The effects are so much better. Kristen & Rob look great as does Jacob.
I for one can not wait and just more & more in love with Rob everyday!!!

IT LOOKS AMAZING (i just saw it now cause i'm in the uk) and a lot of people are saying they don't like it because people look different and stuff? Well personally I like the changes. I'm in love with Bella's coat in the scene where he leaves her btw. and also some people say Kristen showed no emotion when she cut her finger? Paper cuts don't hurt very much. and also people are saying Kristen shows no emotion when he leaves her, where are youu looking? You can see the pain on her face quite clearly I think. I love the changes they made for when Jacob phases infront of her. OMG LOVE IT. so please stop hating :)

A tip for everyone.....you can watch (almost) the entire movie awards show on www.mtv.com!! I found it there when I woke up this morning and was giddy like a school girl all through watching it, because I thought I wouldn't be able to see it.
But there it was, so go see it!! =)

I got my SKY+ set to tape it so I can watch it in peace and quiet tomorrow night while my husband is at work....I'm planning on rewinding the "almost kiss" between Kristen and Rob quite a few times and I need to be totally uninterrupted ha ha!!

ok, just watched the trailer.. A-G-A-I-N.

I don't know who could have possibly watched that trailer and thought, "oh no, that was terrible!" I can't imagine watching that on a big screen in a movie theater, in complete silence- I'd be blown away! (who am I kidding, I'm blown away watching it over and over again on my computer)

We all have to keep in mind that, we've read the books over and over again, so we know just about everything. We can't expect every single thing we know about New Moon to be encapsulated into 1 minute and 48 seconds.

The more we watch the trailer- the more we will pick apart the differences (guilty of it, myself). But change isn't necessarily bad. Roll with the punches, know that Chris Weitz couldn't possibly fit in all of the Jacob/Wolf stuff, all of Edward's pain, and all of Bella's sadness into a clip that was under 2 minutes.

Relax. Breathe. Be stoked. And continue to rush along November 20. :0)

i think the trailer was perfect! It shows most of the big scenes that should be in new moon. the whole birthday scene was really well done, especially jackson even if it was only for 5 seconds i thought he was the perfect jasper.

At the beginning of the trailer, it's nighttime on her birthday (after the party) when she asks him to kiss her. He breaks up with her the next day.

Or maybe his clothes are the same.... he is supposed to be distraught about breaking up with her. Maybe he doesn't care what he looks like.

Don't worry, the key events in the movie WILL happen in the same order as in the book.

Yeah His clothes are the same. He probably just never went home and was thinking about what to do and didn't care about changing. Those are also the same clothes he still has on when Bella saves him in Volterra. (minus the jacket) The shirt, pants, and shoes are the same though. The shirt is all worn and ripped in Volterra. I think it was a good idea to have him in the same clothes the whole time he was gone. It shows just how depressed he was and just how much he did not care about anything when he wasn't with Bella.

i can't believe edward just left her!! that's insane!! she's great!! but he does come back!! i would be pist!! but that's why bella is sooo great! cuz she forgives him, she's true to him!! but of course jacob is sooo irresistable!!! he's gorgeous!!! and who doesn't love dogs??? he's a beauty!! as for edward, i can't believe he just left... that's not saying a lot about love...

To appease all of you Team Jacob fans (and to my great shock), I absolutely LOVED Jake's grand entrance in this teaser. Taylor looks surprisingly delicious. I'm glad Rob's been hitting the gym, judging by the Volturi pics that surfaced, because he's going to have some serious competition after New Moon.

I think the trailer was f*&%ing excellent! I've already gotten used to Kristen's portrayal of Bella with a little less emotion than what I really want. It's a cooler, more subdued Bella. But that IS Bella because Kristen IS Bella. I kinda want to see more emotion, but if it's not there, I'm only setting myself up to be disappointed. And while shock is an emotion, it's also a very distinct emotion, and the look she has in this trailer isn't shock. It's that same blank look she had in Twilight of "What's happening?" Kinda disappointing, kinda ok, too.

It's the direction the movie has been given--Chris Weitz is a great director in an industry that's more than competitive. He's taken full reign and it looks like we're going to have an awesome New Moon!!!

And as for Taylor (and Taylor's body) LOOK OUT! Talk about Breakthrough Award winner 2010!!!! Yeah! and that's from a 100% Team Edward gal!

I agree! I cannot tell you how many times I got annoyed at Bella's attitude, so whiney and weak. I like the way Kristen is portraying her, she is stronger and more confident.

1) I really hope you don't honestly think Mary Poppins was a bad movie. It was an incredible movie, especially for its time. Maybe it didn't stick to Travers' book, but it was a WONDERFUL movie that brought the character of Mary Poppins to life better than Travers did.
2) The Harry Potter movies are awesome. Most HP fans I've talked to said "They changed a couple things in the movies, but overall they're great at bringing the books to life."
3) Die hard LOTR fans have told me that the movies are better than the books.
4) Stardust, IMO, was better than the book.
5) If Weitz was given the opportunity to create the Golden Compass sequels, they would have been better than the original. All plot exclusions aside, Golden Compass was a visually beautiful movie.

RobismyRomeo, I don't understand where you're coming from....are you insulting shimi or do you honestly think all these movies were terrible? There are quite a few classics on that list that turned out incredible. And New Moon will be incredible as well.

I think what people don't realize is that it's really hard to make a scene-by-scene version of a book. I WISH we could have a 4-hour-long New Moon (you know all the fans would watch it) but I guess studios don't like really long movies, so the filmmakers are forced to take 400 pages and condense it into 2 hours. It's possible to make an awesomely awesome movie under those limitations, of course (as long as the movie doesn't veer too much off track with the plot), but every single line, glance, and exchange we loved from the book aren't going to be in the movie. It's just not possible in 2 hours to include EVERYTHING.

I just think it's strange that some of the fans (aka Shimi) cannot possibly understand that it's impossible to translate every single facet of the book to the movie, and all of a sudden they are anti-New Moon movie fans?

I personally L-O-V-E-D (I'll say it again, LOVED!) the trailer- and I think.. no, i know.. that New Moon the movie will live up to all the hype!

Then DON'T watch it. Everyone has a different vision in their head of how it is suppose to be and how the characters are. How do you expect it to look exactly the way you and only you wanted it to be?? I'm sure that if you were going to hand over some money to put towards the budget of the film they may be willing to go a little further with some things.

And obviously if you are on the verge of homicide because you do not like the way the trailer looks then you are definitely not the only SANE person here. I would say you are far from it. Especially seeing you totally contradicted yourself in the matter of 2 sentences asking if you were the only sane person here and then in the next sentence saying that you are completely insanely on the verge of needing medical help. lmao

Just stop watching stuff about it and don't watch the movie if you are so unhappy with it. Make up your own version in your head or on video or something seeing you think you could do a better job.

As for the posters and the trailer ... Well, everything is great, but I am looking forward to feel the same as when I' ve read the books. I really was drawn into a world full of mysteries, love, emotions ... I hope the movie will live up all these expectations.
And I want to add something, I think noone has mentioned. The Twilight Saga is not only about everlasting love, it is also about the choices we make, even if things are not so good, we have to make an effort and do our best with what we have. It is also about the great power that frienship, companionship and commitment to true values have.
I believe Stefeny Meyer, with a simpe writting and with plain words made us realize, that not only true love is possible, but also trust among eachother, hope for something better in all this mess we all live and last but not least, that we all are special in our own ways and when the time comes we have the inner strenght to fight for the ones we love and for what we believe in.

that is the most horrible trailer ive ever seen, im so extremely disappointed in this and the first movie, they are never gonna get it right, twilight sucked and this movie will too. Im an extreme fan of the book series and i dwell on the details, absolutely EVERYTHING was wrong about that trailer. im surprised that any real fan of this series could even appreciate such blasphemy, thats what it is to me BLASPHEMY.

Everything can't be exactly the same as the book. There is just not enough time. As for the color scheme for the birthday party. What is the big deal if it isn't all pink. It's just cake and decorations.

I did notice the grass in the meadow was brown and not the green it was suppose to be, but my take on that was maybe they are going to play it like when she gets to the meadow and it isn't all green and flowery Bella is going to see it as being because Edward is gone. That was their place and it no longer looks like that Beautiful green, flowery wonderful place it did to her when her and Edward were there together because he left.

And as far as the wolf being way to small. If you were a real fan of the books you would remember that when Bella first saw Jake in the meadow he was not as big as he was by the end of the book. He grew in wolf form as he did in human form. He started off as one of the smallest wolves and ended up like the biggest by the end of the Saga. And they cannot have him look like an awfully scary wolf. The wolves interacts with Bella and the Vamps and do show that they still have understanding and humanity left to them when they are in wolf form. So why would they make it some scary @ss drooling hideous wolf in the movie. I don't think Bella or Renesmee(for BD) would sit and cuddle with or kiss a nasty hideous horrifying wolf.
They way I see it a true fan would understand that everything can't be exactly play by play and bit by bit the same as the book and should except that there will be some changes to it. And if Stephenie Meyer is happy with the way everything is working out with the movies then a real fan of hers and the Twilight Saga which she created would be too.

I was a book first person so do notice the gaps between the books and the film, but what can you expect? Bellas internat monologues in the book wouldnt have worked in the film and also everything would have taken too long!

I'm pretty sure that these 2 scenes are just clipped together (someome told me Bella's in different outfits but I haven't watched it that many times YET). I'm pretty sure that when Bella rushes Jacob that is the scene where Paul phases and is attacking them. I'm guessing that they wanted to show off the cool phasing rather than the 5 wolves. They have to know that we are going to dissect where all of the scenes deviate from the books so hopefully they won't do it too much.

Actually i just watched an interview with taylor and he said where he is running and transforms is the part in the movie when he is about to attack paul!!!! The interview was on aol this morning!!!! SO nothing to really worry about!!!!

I liked Jaspers "look" much better in Twilight, although I think the look of all the vamps is more along the book. They were supposed to be about high fashion and haute couture.

I'm a bit confused about what he says to her after the kiss and I love you, and before they head down stairs to the birthday party...about him "staying alive if thats all he is". It must be the scene after he brings her from the party.

Jacob phasing was not in front of Laurent, she is not wearing the backpack. Personally I think they did a GREAT job with the wolf. I am sure it will be even better once they get into editing. This was put together rather quickly I would imagine for the awards.
Laurent looks way off, much scarier.

Every time I see Jasper flying across the room I get excited. l love how it looks, I love Robs expression and I said it who know how many times but you almost believe that Edward pushed him for real.
In Twilight you could obviously see the stunt doubles, it was distracting.

i saw that, too. they looked pale in comparison to bella, but not as pale as we are used to. I bet Chris will tweak the lighting and such in post production.

He had a small gotee (sp?) in the 1st movie. It's also his red contacts making him look different. I think what they wanted to do was make the red more visible so they wouldn't have to zoom in like in the 1st movie. But I personally think it's too much red now. I like them better in Twilight.

in twilight there was a grey filter put over most of the movie. I think thats why everything looks different here.

Wasn't Laurent supposed to be hungry - meaning he would have dark eyes? Jasper looks like a 70's dude! I found him more appealing in Twilight. The wolf was not what I was expecting considering that people had mistaken them for bears, and I assumed their coloring would be more solid (not with gray and white mixed in). There's a lot of things I love about it, too, but being a huge book fan and being a designer/photographer/creative person myself, these things stand out to me. The color tones seem wrong to me, too. They are warm in the Cullen house scenes. I mentioned this to a friend and she said maybe they should have stuck with the cool tones for the Cullens and the warm tones for the wolves. Not a bad idea!

It seems like a teaser because it is too short, I guess the longer trailer will come out in a couple of months and it was good,except that Bella didn't know that Jake was a werewolf then, and he was already phased as wolves with the rest of his pack so she wouldn't know and where the heck are the volturi scenes?

esme's hair colour has changed.. it bothers me!! and why in ever scene edward is dressed the same?

Well, Esme's hair colour is right now, just like Alice's, in the twilight saga books it said Esme had caramel coloured hair so the blondish brown is more correct.

Also, Edward probably doesn't care about his clothes as much as before since he is depressed and angry at himself for what happened at the birthday party and he was going to break up with Bella so it was the least of his problems.

Love the trailer...great CGI on the wolf transformation.

SERIOUSLY LOVED the New Moon Trailer!!!! I was so SURPRISED they showed as MUCH as they did! I was worried that they were only gonna give bits and peices...BUT I felt like they gave everyone a good taste of the movie! I was so glad to see the Birthday scene AND the meadow AND Jake transformation!!!
However, after seeing the trailer...It is making it more painful for me to wait for November :(

Honestly, I expect it to be a little different than the book. I want the movie to be better than the book and if they have to change things here and there then so be it. I'd rather it be entertaining than follow the book to the last detail and make it boring. As long as Bella saves Edward in the end, that's all that matters to me. Although I truly hope they skip over most of the wolf stuff (legends, bonfire), it made me fall asleep (don't hate me plz). I just wanna see 90 minutes of Rob w/o his shirt on *wink,wink* :)

I can't wait to see New Moon in November without all of the splicing and editing done to this trailer. You can't really have an opinion on the movie based on this - most of what they have made look like one scene are actually from three or four scenes :) I think the trailer is absolutely amazing, and like I said, I can't WAIT until I can see the entire movie in order hahahaha

i love the trailer! =] i don't see anything wrong with bella's emotions in any of the scenes either, and kstew isn't one of my fave actresses (not that she's not better than i would be, but she's not great or anything). she should act a little forceful in the kiss scene...he was supposed to be acting weird and she was trying to bring him out of his bad mood. i love all the action so far, with edward, jasper and bella at the birthday, and the "fursplosion"! =] The only discrepancy i have with the movie so far is that the wolf isn't very realistic looking at all. But maybe they're still working on that stuff. overall, im really happy! =] yay new moon!

If you don't like the clothes, the order of the movie and every other little thing, then question screenplay writer Mellisa and director Chris. Film cannot be exact like the book, they take the story and do their own version.

By the way, there is no detail in the book (page 69 to 72) mentioning that Bella cries at all. At first, she seems angry with the idea of Edward leaving without her, but when she realizes that he doesn't love her any more, she "just went numb". If you read this part carefully. You will understand that Bella is a very RATIONAL TEENAGER although outside she is very clumsy. You should take these details into consideration to see how well Kristen plays Bella.

Please don't put your own emotion and how YOU will react if it happens to you. This is unconventional love story. If Edward wants to be with a normal teen girl, he did that long time ago, not wait more than 100 years to fall in love with Bella

Okay, I know that everyone is focusing on Edward and Bella and to be honest this was my least favorite book because of the whole breakup ( I am an old romantic at heart) and I wasn't sure I wanted to see the movie but.......that phasing scene with Jacob was AMAZING!!!!!! I want to see more.

I noticed a difference between the book and the movie....... when Jacob/Taylor transforms.... Bella does not see that until a little after the Laurent (spl?) situation. And when Bella is in the clearing with Laurent, there are three (i think three, there might have been more) wolves. So I am a bit confused as to what was happening there.
And i thought the transformation looked a little bit too cartoon-ish. Sorry!
In a rating from 1 to 10, I give the first NEW MOON trailer a 9! But I still loved it and my friend and i were screaming on the phone for a few minutes, and my mom was like, "Why the hell are you 2 so obsessed?" The scene in the trailer where Jacob transforms is not the same scene as when Bella is with Laurent. When they show Jacob transform that is the scene he is saving Bella from Paul and him and Paul fight.

I didn't like the end of the trailer. I expected better quality in the animation of the werewolf. But all in all it was great! I can't stop thinking of other details, I think it will be a great movie! Isn't Bella supposed to be negative about her birthday? She was dressed a little bit formal in this scene.

Trailers typically mesh together multiple shots of multiple scenes. If we were going to see every scene in chronological order, we'd just be watching the freaking movie. The trailer is just there to give you an "overall, here's sort of what the movie is about" glimpse. This trailer only showed us what the first roughly 1/3 of the movie is about because it's a teaser trailer.

Bella is wearing a grey jacket and a backpack when talking to Laurent!! But when jacob runs to her Bella is wearing a burgundy sweater! Im so excited for the movie to come out and see everything come together!!

i have been so hyped up to see this trailer. it was alright Edward looked as sexy as ever. The cullens look like they had a much needed make over and Jasper going for Bella and Edward pushing him away was very cool. Kristen looked pretty but its hard to rate her performance on such a small clip. Laurent looks really ill I prefer how he looked in twilight. Jake's transformation was a bit cartoony i thougth it would be more like Underworld werewolves but I guess it has to be tame for the younger viewers. Overall I think it wets my appetite and I can wait to see more trailers especially with the Volturi. Hurry up November!

I was waiting for reeeally sloppy specialeffects, but when I saw Jacob turning to a wolf... WOW. I'm more Jacob fan than Edward fan, and I like wolfs more than vampires. ;) soooo, the scene where Jacob changes was everything above what I had expected, that it made me cry! (Don't ask, I was suprised too when a few teardrops came o_o)

Agreed. I wasn't even expecting to see the fursplosion. I thought maybe we'd see some wolves running around but that they'd save the phasing for the full-length trailer. Nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised. If you've watched Underworld (where they also have person-to-wolf phasing), you'll see that this is totally different...and in my opinion this looks much better.

I really can't wait to see the rest of the wolf pack (and the Volturi of course). But this fills me up for a while :) I'm glad they finally gave us something!

The trailer got me all hyped up for NEW MOON last night... so I started to reread NEW MOON...... again, for like the who knows what time. I started rereading last night and i am on page 181. I am so effing excited for November 20th to come, but unfortunately i am not aloud to go to the midnight showing (thanks mom, love ya too). So I am going Friday night with a bunch of other friends that are not allowed to go to the midnight showing, also. Yes, we already started planning.
BTW -- for those who don't know..... Kelly Clarkson's song for New Moon is called "Empty as I am." And she admitted to being a Twilight nerd.

Hey people,did you realized that in Twilight everything is blue/silver. Like 4 example: background, clothes...just like the colour of the logo. And now, in these few seconds of New Moon trailer, everything is yellowish..gold...like the logo of New Moon. It's so cool, and the trailer is perfect. I'm from Europ, so I'll have to wait till Decembre, to see the movie...ooo dear God who's gonna make it so long!?! XD

If they can't do a more credible werewolf because the young viewers, someone can tell how they gonna make Breaking Dawn?

Breaking Dawn will be great. It will be PG13 but it will be great. Rated R doesn't automatically mean it'll be a good movie. Plenty of PG13 movies have turned out intense and wonderful. Don't worry! For now, focus on NM. After NM, focus on Eclipse. Take it a step at a time. The people working on these movies (cast and crew) care about what we want. They know we wouldn't pay to see the movies if we thought they were going to be crap.

This is my 1st comment ever...... I just couldnt contain myself anymore after i had stayed up until 5am on the live streaming of the MTV Awards and had noone else to scream with at that time in the morning! So....... had to stop reading and start joining in with everyone here!
I was literally drooling throughout the awards! Think i woke up the entire house when i screamed/bounced/choked/laughed like a crazy woman all at the same time when i saw the trailer!
Cant really judge much in a 2 min clip but from what i saw there were parts that i thought looked great.... The mid air phase was brilliant but just hope they make the wolves as 'large as horses'..... Once theyve put all the extra bits and pieces in and sorted out music etc im sure it will b brilliant!

I agree chicklet, The wolf looks awesome, there not suppose to be scary and ugly looking, really there not even werewolves, there shapeshifters. I think Taylor looks great and next year he deserves an award for NM definitely.

Well i can't wait for the movie to come out, it looks great, just by watching the trailer you can tell they have done a great job. you can't expect the film to be exactly like the book of course there will be some differences, but that won't matter because it's still gonna be an awesome film!

I LOVE the books, and yes, I am a TRUE fan, and guess what? I LOVED the trailer.

Of course the movies aren't going to be as good as the book. Novel based movies rarely are. They HAVE to change things. How else can they fit a 400+ page book into a two hour movie? They HAVE to change things, so that they can fit the major plot in within the allotted time. We all hope that our favorite parts of the books will make it into the movies, unfortunately, that can't always happen.


Just enjoy the movie for what it is and stop comparing it to the book. And STOP thinking that your opinion is the only one that matters. Because the beauty of being human is that we are all different and have different opinions on things. I respect your opinion, so stop insulting those whose opinions differ from your own.

P.S. I find it kind of ironic that you claim that you're the only sane person here and in the next sentence you say you are on the verge of needing mental help... hmmm...

I love this new moon trailer. I like how bits a pieces are being shown, I'm very excited. I especially like that the werewolf transformation; it is as explosive as I remember from reading new moon. The trailer is absolutely perfect, the director is a genious. I have to remember to breathe after I'm done watching the trailer. :-) I'm looking forward to more enticing trailers for this movie. I love all the twilight saga books. I hope these next months just fly by.

I can't even explain how much i want november to arrive, i have watched this trailer soooo many times i have lost count, and each time it has had the same effect as the first time, i go from having an excited cheesy a** grin when it starts to a frown and distraught expression when edward leaves *edwards face just amazes me*, then a holy crap moment when i see laurent *he's amazing* to a finally omg moment when jacob breaks into his wolfy form *awesome graphics weitz* i completely shut everything else off when watching it, some people are far too negative with their comments, this trailer is only a minute and 49 seconds long, this is literally the equivelant of taking a breath in terms of this movie, this is nothing, all i know is it's left me with a hope that newmoon is going to be better quality than twilight and that the suspense to watch it has increased :D wow and i got through writing this without putting anything smutty about rob, thats different LOL!!!

I had gasped when I saw the trailer... after it was over I squeeled with excitement. I cannot wait for the movie it is going to be AWESOME!!! I keep watching the trailer over and over again and I just can't get enough. I think all of the movies will be amazing. I have to watch Twilight at least once a week just to get my fix. ok..ok...ok.. i know yall said no complaining....but i actually am not mad about the shortness of the trailer.. i was actually satisfied...i mean we have been waiting for so long i think this will keep ups for a couple of weeks...i mean i do think that the big trailer will actually come with harry potter.. so we can wait....plus since they will start with eclipse soon we will get pics from that and then they will start promoting for new moon on shows and stuff...so this trailer is just the start of the full next mths we all have ahead of us...our thirst will be satieated dont worry.. However i do want to comment on the actual feel of the teaser..it must have been the decision of the director...but what i am missing is the blue tint of the scenes..i mean twilight had that cool feel about it...i guess this could work for the jacob scenes as bella describes him as her personal sun...but bellas and edwars love is so forbidden and to them is wrong i feel like it should have had the same coolness..or coldness you know that made you shiber just as bella would when she was next to edward, that blue tint gave on the first movie gave it like a mistery...i mean forks is cold and rainy and somehow i missed it all...i hope maybe i get a better understanding on what the director wanted giving it more color or maybe i just need to wait till the movie and see it all

Ok... I love the trailer I really do... But does anyone else notice that the Cullens arn't super pale like they are in Twilight?? They have the same flesh tones as humans and everything. I dont know if I like that part. I wonder if it's going to stay that way or what. Hope not. I think they look more beautiful and mysterious with the pale skin. Am I the only one who noticed that??

I've noticed and totally agree with you. I liked them cool and pale and agree, it makes them beautiful and mysterious - and a little scary. The color tone is different (so far) in these scenes, too. There is a warm gold tone. I really liked the cool blue tone. I mentioned this to a friend and she said they should have used the cool tones on the vamps and warm tones on the wolves. Not a bad idea. The clothes in this one are probably more like the book, but I really did like (most) of the style in Twilight, especially Rosalie. I loved the baseball scene which was very cool toned and I loved their crouched (?) attack stance (a look which follows the books). I missed seeing that in the paper cut scene - his animal-like instinct to protect her.

I think the scenes are shown out of sequence...
I do not believe that the screen writer and director would make such tragic mistakes in their work as to write and direct the actors to show emotions they would have no reason to feel. They have read the books.
Prior to the party, Edward is still careful in his show of emotion and displays of affection...he is still constantly fighting vampire desires and now we start to see that he begins to have to fight his human desires as well.
As for Kristen's lack of visual emotion, in reading the scene in the book again, she does comment that she is numb, shocked and that she is surprised at how calm she is taking what's being told to her...what I saw in the trailer was exactly that. I think the movie will do the book justice and be a wonderful addition to the series.

They might make the scene darker and more gloomy in editing like they did with alot of the scenes in Twilight. Or they may just add some sparkle effect to him.

It wasn't sunny out in the Laurent scene (in the trailer). It was overcast. They only sparkle under direct sunlight. It was bright, yes, but not "sunny."

Actually i think tht is the point but you can tell there are two diff scenes mixed in there because the trees are slightly diff and kristen steward is wearing a different jacket when she is with Laurnet then when she is telling jacob to run and when jacob is transforming

OME I can't believe it!!! These chills that I've been having since last night when I first saw the teaser trailer HAVEN'T left me!!! I LOVE it... it's amazing... and ppl need to chilax... it's only a teaser trailer and BE thankful that we got to see something!!! I don't know about you, but I LOVE it... I'm crying for the zillionth time since yesterday at the glimpse of the breakup scene *tears* I can't help it... it gets to me just like in the book... oh man... The trailer is just a rough draft and the scenes are probably like that on purpose so they don't give you everything completely in sequence. I do however hope that they make the Vampires skin more pale because I really liked the way that looked in Twilight. Also does the Cullens house look the same? I'm sure it is they are just showing a different part of the house maybe.

Has anyone noticed that the meadow scenes at different... when jacob transforms into a wolf its to protect her from paul i think when she is at his house waiting for him... when Laurent appears its the wolf pack that saves her... they combined the two scenes but pay attention her clothes are different...with laurent she has a backpack and when jacob transforms no back back:):)

i think we all have to remember that these are not official scenes from the movie (for example remember that one scene where emmett says "shes not one of us" in last years teasers...it never came out in the movie) so if the director thinks that some one didnt act to well in a certain scene they will find the best one. i am pretty sure this was put together pretty quick!! plus they have from now til who knows when to spruce it up a bit. so chillax (hahaha thats such a funny word) and enjoy the piece of new moon that we can watch over and over again.. i know i have

The trailer wasnt perfect but it looked so much better than Twilight. I was really happy with the small clip. Ive noticed something, we are so ANAL! People, the movie isnt out and we are already judging it. Its a one minute clip, get over it. Breathe, accept, move on and wait until you are sitting in a big comfy chair with a sticky floor a huge popcorn and soda..THEN judge all u want.

Watching MTV awards right now (uk delay of 1 day damn it!) WOW WOW WOW!!!

Just a question ladies (gents?) If Cannes can see 15 minutes of footage why is the trailer only 1.48, couldn't they have given us at least 2.30 minutes? or at least promise a second trailer for 1.48 again???

This is just a teaser. The full-length (3 minutes I'm guessing) trailers (there will probably be 2 of them prior to the movie being released) will come out during the summer/early fall. This is step 1 of 3 ;)

I love it. I think Rob does a great job and showing his emotions on his face, I can so feel the pain. I actually think Kristen does too, I know there were comments about the paper cut scene but really most people don't freak out over a paper cut, I think I would say it the same way, just more of a statement than an emotion.

Of course the trailer wasn't in chronological order. The kiss Bella asks for comes after the party, when she's becoming afraid something is wrong. Taylor himself said the leap/transormation at the end of the teaser is when he's saving Bella from Paul, not Laurent (hence the shirtless/shirt disconnect). Trailers are always like that. Also, not only is Edward still wearing birthday party clothes when he breaks up with Bella, I believe he's still wearing the same pants and shirt when she finds him in Italy (evidenced in the set photos). I like what that represents--like he's too distraught even to change clothes for 7 mos. Like he's just existed, but not lived, while they've been apart.

Also, did you notice in the meadow scene the grass is all dead--like Bella's and Edward's relationship. She goes looking for their magical place and when she arrives, it's barren. Nice touch, set design.

That's exactly what I got from the grass being dead too! It's very symbolic to her and Edward. Edward left and her heart is broken and she goes to their meadow and it is not the beautiful green grassy flowery heaven it was to them before because Edward is gone.

Yeah, I read someone's comment about how the dead grass made it look nothing like what was described in the book, and at first I agreed with them, but it really got me thinking. I just think that visually, it wouldn't work for it to be a beautiful place, filled with flowers. I mean I guess they could have had that, and Bella could have come, and maybe the viewers would have been able to understand that no matter how gorgeous it is, it is nothing without Edward there. But, I think this just works so much better for the screen. Hopefully, in the movie, it is clear that coming back to that place is extremely painful for Bella - hopefully they do a better job to really bring out what the meadow means to Bella, because in the first movie that was completely unclear.

I can see the symbology theory, but it could also simply be seasonal. Bella wakes up from her catatonic-like depression in January. I don't remember if the book references exactly how many months pass from that point until her reunion with Edward, but I can't imagine it being more than a few months, which would be early spring. The meadow wouldn't be that flowery heaven yet in early spring, especially in the Pacific Northwest.

But on the other hand, it seems more plausible for the director to take the symbology approach than to calculate the season, so you're probably right. :o)

AHHH! This is amazing!!! It looks like they're doing an awesome job. I can't wait for November!!!

I was wondering why there haven't been any pics of them at the after party posted anywhere yet! Not that I had seen anyways.

But I wonder if they were really completely alone or not. You always have to second guess some of the stories you read about them. And just because they went back to the hotel it doesn't mean anything.

YES! I'm really happy with the teaser! At last, true scenes of the upcoming movie! That is great! Hope they'll do some more to keep us patient (how!) until November.

Of course i could talk about the not the same Cullen's house, the eyes that aren't the right color and everything else that is not EXACTLY like the book.. But hey, we have a teaser!!!! For me that just means that the movie is getting closer to my eyes everyday, and that's all I ask for!

So, I downloaded the trailer in HD and after playing it for about 10 times I noticed something very very strange. Bella's blood when she is on the floor after Jasper's attack - it's BLACK. Even if it's not supposed to be blood - I don't see anything on the "crashing table" that could drip black - floating candles and flowers only. Sorry for repeating if someone already mentioned it. If not, any ideas?

Maybe it was an effect that they placed on it after filming that made it look black. I know the first time I watched Twilight I thought the whole movie kinda looked desaturated and washed (on multiple TVs, I know it wasn't because of a shitty screen), maybe to make it look darker, as in more mysterious. I dunno, maybe its just me..... I think this trailer had that same kinda look, desaturated and dark.

that was FREAKING A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!!!!! that looks so much like the book. Plus Taylor Lautner said that the part where he phases into a wolf isn't when Laurent came. He said it was when Paul got upset about Bella. So to me it looks pretty dang amazing. Be thankfull that they didn't make us wait until June-Julyish. I don't think I could take that much longer. I'm already dreading how long the wait will be until November!! URGG!! I guess I'll have to live off the trailers for now. I just really love it when Edward goes "Your the only reason for me to be...alive...If that's what I am." I almost cried when he left. I did cry while reading the book and I will probably cry when I see the whole scene too. I also love it when Jasper goes to attack Bella and Edward like pushes Bella into the tabe and then pushes Jasper into the piano. Then you can see the pain in his eyes when he looks back at Bella. I love New Moon. Best Book EVA!!! Love you Edward

It is also good to know that a lot of the scenes from the book are being kept in the movie. I know a lot of people noticed outfit changes, particularly in the last half of the trailer, when Bella is with Laurent in the meadow and then Jacob (finally) comes into the trailer. Well, when he has his shirt off that is the LAST scene, I am guessing when he confronts Edward and Bella. His expression is perfect - full of rage. Then, when he is running from his house, that is when PAUL is attacking Bella. And, somewhere in there is the Laurent attack, although we barely saw any of that I think, because the other wolves have to be there,.
So yay! I love Chris Weitz and the Twilight Saga cast!!! This looks amazing!!!!

Seeing the Very brief teaser we got today is like a picture of the chapters in the book I thought it looked better than TwilightI.In the fact this director looks to following the book better and keeping important things in the movie where Twilights director didn't. I had a very serious problem with the director of Twilight trying to be Bella. Having her wear her clothes and jewerly, is just weird (My Opinion). The way she (The Director)is laying on the ground arching her back in the Van almost crushing Bella scene. She just looked like, well seuxal to me. (Maybe it was just me who got that ) Thats ok It is my opinion.
Waiting for New Moon bites. I Thank the powers that be that they are doing the movie. Even though we have to bind our time till November. It is only 173 days and 3 hours and 45 min. For the First Showing in my area. Oh to be able to get to go see the FIRST SHOW. That would rock big time. Does any one know if there is a contest out there for that? I have watched the trailer 4 times. Am I in the clutches of the Cullens? You Bet!!!!

I am JUST so happy that we finally got to see some part of this movie. I am optimistic that the movie is going to ROCK MY WORLD. And if it doesn't, oh well. But as much as I love the books, I will use my imagination, just like I did when I watched Twilight!! My imagination IS never bad when it comes to movies!!

I'm actually a fan of Kristen Stewart. Though her performance in Twilight was a little rough, I'm hoping that she has done better in New Moon. This trailer hasn't exactly proved that, but it isn't the whole thing. I'm not going to judge her acting until I see the full movie in theaters and have time to process what happened.

I like the "eyebrow-thing". It's kind-of challenging, and though maybe not Bella-style, it shows that she's willing to be a little braver and that she's trying to be mature enough to show what she really wants instead of hiding everything. I like it when people can be just semi or fully straightforward about things. That came off to me as a straightforward move.

The wolf looks cool, I s'pose. Doesn't look like I imagined it - but hey, it's a movie. They're limited.

I think my favorite part in the trailer was when Laurent was talking to Bella. I don't exactly know why. I think it is mostly because I find Edi so ... enchanting, in a way. He pulls my interest. I think he's a great actor, to be completely honest.

But Taylor Lautner shirtless comes out on top. Period.

Well I for one think Kristen cannot act at all. The part where she cuts her finger and throws the gift on the floor and says "paper cut" (duh) with no emotion on her face then or even when Edward flings her across the room. She is very boring to watch. I wish they had cast someone else who can act, and I am not saying that cuz I am jealous.....

Carlisle’s history was something that was completely written out in the 1st movie.

In the trailer, the painting is a blur but is does exhibit dark earth tones that are reminiscent of 17th century painting...BUT then again...I could be reading too much into this! The painting is placed in this ornate gold frame and Bella and Edward are standing right in front of it. You have to wonder why the director placed so much emphasis with contrast in that one scene. The painting could be driving the color palette of greens seen throughout the house and in Bella’s clothes. OKAY…nuff said.

*sigh* I just can't get enough lol. I've watched the trailer WAY too many times, it just looks so so good in HD on my 24" monitor. I have to do a little squeal and happy dance everytime it finishes *rolls eyes at self* (very sad I know), I'm sooo excited and can't wait til November.

although m a 150% Team EDWARD, i gotta say that m sooo looking forward to see how Jacob would make his presence strongly felt in this 2nd installment (talk about "marking one's territory", right?!) and m pretty sure that he will definitely deliver. ^_^ i just find him to be soooo cute and cuddly for a wolf/shapeshifter! ( he's like a breed of CHOW or Siberian Huskey! aww..) nevertheless, Kristen is right, he seems to manifest his being the "epitome" of warmth with so much bravado, enough to bring out that due high level of "distraction" in the Edward/Bella love story... and so far, m sooo totally lovin' it!

I kept freaking out that his outfit is the same from the party and then the break-up, which if it was overnight, I think is wayyyyy too soon, but maybe it's all symbolic and it's something that he happens to put on again days later, although that's not so typical of the Cullens.... Hmmm.... this one has been bugging me. What do you think?

I actually really liked this trailer! I could be upset about some inaccurate things, but in all honesty, I don't have the energy to expend on those tiny things. As a teaser trailer, this was meant to be taken in as a whole rather than a representation of the whole movie ready for scrutiny. For what it's worth, I thought this was an excellent teaser trailer and everything looked great. Jacob's wolf form was incredible, I loved when Laurent said "How much could you mean to him if he left you here; unprotected?" That line gave me chills and I don't know why. So far, this looks excellent and I honestly can't wait! *applauds*

Honestly, I'm sure the final product will be way better...they just filmed all of these scenes not even a month ago and they're are still filming in Italy now. Obviously they havn't even done the first edit of the movie or finished all the special effects.

Really, I think that this is Summit just pressuring CW and Co. to release footage and so this is what we get.

Really though, I didn't even think it was that bad. I loved the acting in the Kristen/Laurent scene, the wolf cgi, jacobs hotness, and edward's lines in the break up scene.

The only things iffy for me was Jackson's acting and how Bella was just laying in the dirt, it seemed a little stupid to me, It would have looked better if it was raining or something.

Even though it's a teaser trailer it should still capture the essence of the book and in my opinion it just doesnt do it. I feel pretty let down, I was looking forward to seeing it so much. As much as I love Rob it focused far too much on Edward, there needs to be much more Jacob in there. You need to feel his and Bellas relationship, it's so vitally important in the book. It seems that the trailer is catered more towards people who have only seen the movie Twilight and not read the books and they are not the ones who will definately be supporting New Moon.

On the other hand you can tell from the effects that the movie is going to look absolutely amazing, Chris is a brilliant director. I can't wait for another trailer to be made in the hope that it will lean more towards the fans of the books.

Everyone needs to stop complaining about the trailer, the clothes, whatever else you're nit-picking about. The trailer is made up of a bunch of different scenes. The movie has not even been edited yet-they just finished filming it last week. The trailer was released as a FAVOR to us, the fans-so stop whining and complaining.
Some of the scenes make not even make the final cut. Sometimes they edit right up until the last minute. Relax...
IMO, I think it looks awesome, and just made me want to see the movie even more, if that's even possible.
I can't imagine anyone other than Kristen playing Bella-keep in mind, Bella is a strong girl, and Kristen plays her perfectly.
This movie is going to be EPIC, I can already tell.
Be happy & appreciate what were able to see....how cool was it that Rob, Kristen & Taylor were the ones to present the Trailer!!
I am a happy twilight camper, that's all I can say.

You can tell she smokes weed.....a lot. I was not surprised when those pictures of her smoking the ganji surfaced. But i dont really care shes pretty keen on the eyes ;)

I'm anxious to see if they will do the months like stephanie did in the book. like the months without edward and they jump through them to a few months later. I liked that part, so I really hope they use it. But I agree with someone about the comment of how they are keeping it all rated PG-13....Breaking Dawn is going to have to be taken down quite a few notches, which sucks. I really believe it should just be rated-R so that it can have as much detail possible from the book.

one thing i dont get is, when bella and laurent are in the meadow, why isnt he sparkiling? its sunny ...

If you watch closely it actually isn't sunny. It's just daylight. There is know direct sunlight shining on either of them and the only way they sparkle is in direct sunlight.

Did you guys HEAR THE GROWLING before Jacob even comes on screen? When they show the scene with Laurent and Bella in the meadow, and then there is growling and THEN Jacob comes on screen? That is cause they ARE GOING TO HAVE THE OTHER WOLVES IN THAT SCENE and Taylor already said in an interview that these were all scenes meshed together - it was the last scene of the film (when he is shirtless then it is the sound affects from when the wolves come to save Bella from Laurent, and THEN IT IS WHEN JACOB SAVES BELLA FROM PAUL! Look closely and don't criticize. Chris Weitz is doing amazing things, so have faith and trust the Twilght Saga crew.

I liked the trailer except the part where the wolf came out I thought the wolf looked to animated or cartoonish. I thought they would look like wolves. I liked a trailer a fan made they did a really nice job of making the wolves very mystical. This looked amaturish.

I am dissappointed in the wolf. He isn't big enough at all and he looks kinda .... well wimpy. Yeah he can growl, but in the book the wolves were horse sized. Im really hoping the wolves are bigger than that. But, screw it I can't wait for this movie.
