200906101133.jpg The Hollywood Reporter is reporting big numbers for the season premiere of Nurse Jackie, New Moon doc Peter Facinelli’s latest TV show. I wonder how many of those viewers tuned in for the Dr. Carlisle Cullen?–

Showtime is giving a second season order to “Nurse Jackie” after the Edie Falco drama became Showtime’s most-watched series premiere ever Monday night.

“Jackie” was seen by 1 million viewers, then gathered another 350,000 watchers during its same-night repeat for a total of 1.35 million viewers. That surpasses the prior same-night series premiere record holder, “Secret Diary of a Call Girl,” which opened to about 950,000 viewers last year.

    I was pleasantly surprised by the show, actually. I'm a little afraid it's trying to be kinda like House with her pain killer addiction and her surly attitude but we'll have to see how the rest of the episodes go.
    Also, it was funny to see Peter play the horribly bumbling doctor instead of the beautiful one who knows what he's doing. He does such a good job!

    I don't have ShowTime either and I'm extremely bummed about it because now I can't see Peter. Sucks. For sure though, they'll have to release it on DVD, right!??
