New Moon stars Gil Birmingham and Peter Facinelli are both looking for new followers on their Twitter accounts, and both are having bets to see if they can reach a much larger number of followers–100,000 for Gil, 500,000 for Peter. We’ve posted this on our own Twitter stream, @NewMoonMovie, a couple of times already, but for those of you who don’t follow us, be sure to help them out!

Follow @PeterFacinelli and @GilBirmingham for a chance to see Gil in a bikini if he adds 100,000 followers by Friday–if Peter loses, he has to give away his Twilight director’s chair backing!

Kristen Stewart went to Leonetti Lighting this weekend for a lighting screen test in her new Joan Jett hairdo. She’ll be playing the legendary lady rocker for her new role in the Runaways with Dakota Fanning.

David Slade, who will be directing the sequel to New Moon, Eclipse, has a new interview with Fearnet. He says–

What will differ about Slade’s Twilight? “I don’t really know. We haven’t even started shooting yet.” While the director says he has a basic idea of what he wants to do with it, he is more concerned with telling a good story than being “different.” “It is darker, and there is a lot more action than the previous two,” he admits. “The third book is from Bella’s point of view, but the film will be more objective.” And just how will he do that? “We are going to focus on the origin stories of several characters, like Jasper, and show how Bella will decide between Edward and Jacob.”

New Moon wolfman Taylor Lautner was at the Stanley Cup Finals in Detroit last night, howlin’ it up and enjoying the game to see the Detroit Red Wings lose to the Pittsburgh Penguins for the championship.
