The New Moon trailer is seeing huge viewership numbers online, Nikki Finke reports–

Summit Entertainment has a count of 4.2 million views for the New Moon trailer from MySpace, and another 1.6 million from MTV.com, so that’s 5.8 million combined views in the first 24 hours from its two domestic online launch partners. By comparison, the 3rd (and last) trailer for Twilight received 3.2 million views in its first 48 hours on MySpace, piddling compared to viewership for the sequel’s trailer.

This number doesn’t even include all the versions uploaded to YouTube–including the one we added with the permission of Summit–so the actual number is even higher.

Peter Facinelli’s new project Nurse Jackie starts airing next week, and the New Moon doc went on Fox to start promoting the new show, you can check out the video above.

The first episode of Nurse Jackie is now available to watch for free in advance of the show’s premiere.

The New Moon trailer and recently released stills from the movie have revealed that New Moon will not have the same blue tint that Twilight did.   I’ve made the image above which roughly approximates the old Twilight look on one half of an image from New Moon and keeps the other side as it will be in the movie.   

How do you feel about this change–do you think it is for the best, or do you wish it still had the icy tones of the original movie instead of the new golden look?

What did you do the first time you saw the first official New Moon trailer? A couple of Twilight fans recorded their reactions upon their first view of the trailer and posted them on YouTube for all to see. Priceless!

As if there was any doubt, Robert Pattinson solidified New York City as the place to be today, as he was seen out and about in Manhattan. He’s in the city to prep for shooting of his new film Remember Me.

Yesterday New Moon star Taylor Lautner was doing a photoshoot in Los Angeles and some photographers took pics of him being photographed. He was wearing all black with black jeans, shoes, trench and shirt. Check out the pics at TwilightTeam.

The sad spectactle that is the burden of fame has struck Robert Pattinson again as he arrived at the NYC airport. A huge number of photographers swarmed upon him as bodyguards and staff kept everyone at arm’s length. Robert kept shy and discreet under his trademark hoodie during the hubbub. He’s set to film Remember Me in New York soon.

New Moon Volturi actor Michael Sheen is receiving a Order of the British Empire today, a lofty recognition from the British Royal Family that is just short of being knighted–

He portrayed Blair in Stephen Frears’ TV drama The Deal and later on the big screen in Frears’ award-winning film The Queen.

Having met the Queen as played by Dame Helen Mirren, Sheen will now come face to face with the monarch herself when he picks up his OBE today.

Sheen said after hearing of his award in the New Year’s Honours list: “This is a huge honour. I am both thrilled and slightly mystified. But very grateful. It’ll be nice to meet the real Queen at last.”
