New Moon star Robert Pattinson is truly taking over the celebrity world–he ranked #1 in the 2009 Popsugar 100, beating out Reese Witherspoone, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Winslet and Brad Pitt. Kristen Stewart hit a respectable #44, just ahead of Gwyneth Paltrow, Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz and Scarlet Johansson.

Take this as you will–as there’s no 100% proof, but a fan has a report of Robert Pattinson at a bar in NYC last night–
I was at a bar last night and Rob was there with TomStu and Emilie de Ravin and about 5 other young hipster types with accents. He and TomStu left their black hoodies up the whole time and he and Emilie were chatty in a friendly way. He is tall and very skinny in person and the smile is just unreal. They seemed to be having fun.

If you missed this Kellan Lutz interview from the Twilight days, be sure to check it out–he chats online and reveals that–
I have many obsessions! Mainly candy haha as well as wild cats like Snow Leopards, Lions, Tigers, all of them, I used to have so many statues around my room growing up as well as stuffed animals. I still have my childhood favorite stuffed animal in my room now in Los Angeles. He is a Snow Leopard named Sugar Loaf. Funny story with the name. I actually won him in one of those crane arcade game that you move around and drop to pick up a stuffed animal. This was around the time when Beanie Babies were blowing up and so I thought every stuffed animals name was on the tag, so I looked for it and the tag said Sugar Loaf. I was like, hmm that’s a strange name for a Snow Leopard but I didn’t want to change it and hurt his feelings. Five minutes later I won a clown fish out of the same machine and I looked for his name and it was also Sugar Loaf… and I thought to myself, okay now that is weird. Long story short I found out that the tag actually wasn’t the animals name but the actual manufacture name, but I kept it anyways for the Leopard. I am a dork I know.

Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight, is aiming to work with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart again in some upcoming projects –
“We’ve got ‘Maximum Ride,’ ” she said. “That’s a really wild, big-action fantasy film with bird kids. Then I have a cool project at Overture with Emile Hirsch that’s a modern retelling of ‘Hamlet’ — a very radical version. And then at Summit, we have ‘If I Stay,’ which is another really nice novel that we’re adapting.”
According to Hardwicke, she’s planning to solicit Pattinson and/or Stewart for roles in the fantasy films “Ride” and “Stay.”
Yes–you heard right–a fantasy film with bird kids–
“Maximum Ride” is based on a series of James Patterson novels telling the story of six teens who are genetically altered to become part bird and part human.
Well that oughta be interesting.

New Moon baddie Edi Gathegi was interviewed recently at the SuperCon in Florida, and TwilightActors has an exclusive interview–I found this part about off-the-set-fun interesting:
So, you said that you have a lot of really good friends on the set of Twilight. Do you hang out with people outside the set?
Taylor [Lautner] and I hang out with Kellan [Lutz], and Peter Facinelli hosts game night, we play poker at his house. Rachelle [Lefevre] and I are food junkies so we meet for brunch and cake for brunch. So on the Twilight movies, it is like a Twilight family, we all get along and we all understand each other. It’s fun. Vamp-camp is what we named it. Welcome to Vamp Camp!

Jacob Black’s dad Billy Black is played by Gil Birmingham in New Moon. Kimberly Sherman interviews Gil and he shares his perspective on his role–
Because Billy Black is one of the few Quileutes who is not a werewolf, your role adds a different level of complexity. What did you add to your character in order to seamlessly connect with Jacob’s character as well as the rest of the werewolf clan?
Billy simply loves his son and his family (tribe). Billy is the wise tribal leader, who, because he isn’t a werewolf, understands the dangers and complexities of the “tentative” peace between the Cullens and the Quileute tribe. He knows the dangers that the Cullens present to Bella and others. Billy is the glue that holds the tribe and its traditions together.
