New Moon star Kristen Stewart was on the set of her new movie The Runaways this weekend wearing a soccer-themed retro shirt. She’ll be playing legendary ’70s and ’80s rocker Joan Jett in the film.

Check out pictures of New Moon star Ashley Greene on the Red Carpet of the Vision Awards last night. Taylor Lautner was there as well and made an appearance at the podium. A reader also sends in the pics after the break of New Moon stars Gil Birmingham and Billy Burke, but notes that–

Taylor Lautner’s publicist would not let him do any press, take photos, or meet any fans. That was a huge disappointment, especially considering it was a relaxed, formal event, with a fairly small number of people in attendance. It didn’t really seem necessary. I was lucky enough to see Taylor arrive, so I saw him from about 3 feet away. But I wasn’t able to talk with him, or get a picture, due to his publicist. He was very cute though! But the rest of the Twilight cast in attendance was mingling with everyone, and I got to meet them all.

A group of Twilight fans have been working on a quilt based on scenes from the Twilight universe with the ultimate goal of giving the handmade gift to author Stephenie Meyer.

Crafter Iris quilted the clock tower from the pivotal Italian scenes of New Moon for one block of the quilt, and she tells me that–

We decided to do a group quilt for Stephenie Meyer herself, and that is in it’s final stages of assembly before being sent to quilting. We have 3 main threads on TwilightMoms we communicate with, started a blog, and are super excited about our craft and our Twilight projects! What’s amazing is non of us has met in person, we started the SM Quilt only 6 weeks ago, and coordinated, shared ideas, even fabric swapped to quickly put it all together.

The mass-market movie tie-in New Moon paperback will have a cover that is a modified version of the New Moon poster, as we first reported correctly, not erroneously as others indicated.

What does this news mean for the “Team Jacob” special edition of New Moon featuring all-new art and a pull-out poster? That edition will be coming out as a trade paperback on September 15th, with the version seen above arriving just before the movie on October 27th.

Both the “Movie Poster” version and “Team Jacob” version with pull-out poster are available for pre-order now.

The new Sexy Stars of Twilight special from US Magazine is on newstands today, so rush on out to grab a copy. The 72-page tome includes 140 photos and 7 posters, and MTV says of the $10 tome–

The 140 photos included in the book were compiled from a variety of sources, and the cast interviews are a collection from Us, which go all the way back to the beginning of “Twilight” fanaticism.

…The book contains an essay on the Bella and Edward love story, pictures of Kristen Stewart chronicling her ascent into Hollywood, a look at the stars new to “New Moon” (ahem Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen), some photos of the Quileute wolf pack and a peak at the stars when they’re living their lives off-set.

If you buy the mag at Kroger’s, MTV notes you can get a free sample of the upcoming “Lip Venom V” lip gloss from DuWop cosmetics, suppliers of the makeup used on the New Moon set.
