There are even more Twilight dolls entering the fray with two new Barbie brand dolls from Mattel.
This joins the crowded market of expensive Tonner dolls, as well as cheaper action figures for Edward and Bella and upcoming action figures for Jacob Black and Alice Cullen.
The Twilight Barbie Dolls are priced at around $35 each and should be released in late October.

Michael Welch, who plays reliable Mike Newton in New Moon, has an interview with Blast where he talks a bit about filming the movie. He talks about the date scene with Jacob and Bella that nearly wasn’t included in the film–
BLAST: So you said at some point they almost didn’t include the movie scene in New Moon? What’s that about?
MW: You know it’s a tricky thing when you try and turn a book into a movie because a movie is only two hours and there’s only so much you can fit in, but yeah, what they originally did was they took that moment between Jacob and Bella and put it in a different scene of the movie. Luckily Taylor and Kristen lobbied that scene for me to Chris Weitz saying it absolutely had to be in, and it’s a good scene. They weren’t really lobbying for me, it’s just, how can you not have that scene in there? Yeah, so I was really happy to hear that, and it was great for me because I got to do Mike’s best scene in the book.

The Twilight Examiner has a new interview with New Moon vamp-dad Peter Facinelli, where he talks about the future of the series, noting he’s used to changing directors with his TV roles–
Whenever I’ve done television (Six Feet Under, or Damages, or Nurse Jackie) we worked with different directors each episode. So, it makes it interesting because they come in and it’s the same material, but you get a different perspective on it. And that’s how it’s been on this one too. Chris Weitz has brought his vision; Catherine Hardwicke had hers. And, now, we get to see what David Slade’s going to bring … It’s exciting.”
Peter also admits that he’d love to work on a Twilight TV series after Breaking Dawn–but only “as long as it’s called the Carlisle Chronicles.”
