Yep, on and off. That he works in a near by salon from where they were filming and he heard a bunch of girls screaming and went to peak outside and saw a ton of girls surrounding a guy who had a few bodyguards. 20 min. or so later, he heard something happen and went out again and someone said that Rob Pattinson was hit by a taxi and the body guard was yelling at the girls, "see what you did, you almost killed him!" He said it wasn't a big deal being NY city because people do get hit by taxicabs (not uncommon)... Then he said he wished he had known it was Rob in the first place, because he would have gotten his autograph or at least dragged him into the salon.
