I haven't read much about Emilie, or seen her act, so I really have no opinions one way or the other.

Kristen is a very good actress in everything I've seen her in. I was blown away with her performance in The Cakeaters, and she nailed her part in Twilight. She is a very beautiful woman, and very mature for her age. I am very impressed with her.

As for Kristen, Rob, and Emilie, we don't know if any of the reports are true because the press likes to conjure stuff up for their own benefit. Who really knows if Rob and Kristen are together (to trying to) or if Rob gave Kristen an ultimatum? No one will ever know unless one or both of them says it themselves! Reports are that Emilie and her husband are divorcing which leaves Emilie almost single. Another report is that Emilie was picked because of her and Rob's chemistry. It seems to me that co stars need to have chemistry to make the story believeable. But, does having chemistry in their roles mean automatic romance? I think not.

I am hoping that Rob and Kristen will get together (if not already) and that they can make it work, not because of how perfect they were in Twilight, but because they are very stunning together. From their own admission, they are very compatible and have the same interests. They seem very comfortable with each other, almost like soul mates. But, whatever they choose, I wish only the best for them both. I will see whatever movies they each make, regardless of who they are co starring with.

In the script Ally is supposed to be 19 and Rob's part 23 I think but emilie easily looks in her early 20's so I doubt the age be a problem , when she played a teen in The hills have eyes she was 25

I am really looking forward to seeing him in these two movies he's chosen, both with outstanding casts (RM and OC). He's really played this Twilight success well. He seems to be following the path of Leo after Titanic, choosing various roles to get him away from the "hearttrob" category. Leo is now an outstanding actor and I do see the same for Rob.

I would love to see him as some type of character in a Tarantino movie. Maybe after BD, Tarantino could cast him as some type of EVIL vampire. I dunno. Or some type of baddie. :) He did say in Cannes he was hoping for a Tarantino movie.

FOr those who keep saying Rob shouldn't be doing this role or that role, I will watch Rob even if it's a porn flick. Those who are dissing the Super hero genre, I got two actors for you Hugh Jackman and Robert Doney Jr. Wolverine and Iron Man. Hugh can sing and dance and cut your head off with his claws, Robert Downey can hang with Jaime Fox in the Soloist and than going around saving the world and romancing Gwen Paltrow. A good actor takes on all kinds of genre. Action, comedy, adventure. Sticking Rob in just indie flims is also type casting you know. I am one of the ones that mentioned the superhero movie thing. I love superhero movies as much as the next person. as much as i love rob in the twilight saga, i really really would love him to get out of the edward image and establish himself first and foremost as an actor that goes beyond typecasting.

and how i wish reporters like that one in E who compared rob to shia & co. would stop doing that kind of analogy at this point in time. rob is still a newbie compared to shia, zac and james. give him some more non twilight films and in time rob will be able to show that world what he is truly worth.

I've been reading some of the comments on here, and I really could care less about who is new leading lady is. I just want him to act his tail off and prove that he is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood, and not just another pretty face. It will be good to see him do some things not related to Twilight or KStew so that he can get some credibility in the industry.

i read that the original script was called "Memoirs" and that was written by Will Fetters, but they as in Summit, had Jenny Lumet (the woman who wrote Rachel Getting Married) re-write the script and is now called "Remember Me". That's why the script that everyone read (the one posted online) is different to the film description reported in Variety. But i think the main plot line remains the same.

fyi, i cannot wait for this film to come out. i've been dying to watch Rob in something else other than the Twilight films, even though i love him as Edward. I was disappointed he couldn't do "Parts per Billion". *sigh* can't get everything. Also, Emilie de Ravin sounds awesome. Love Pierce Brosnan (esp in James Bond). Chris Cooper is amazing. So all in all, sounds like one hell of a movie! ;D

this article made me so angry...but everyone has their own opinion about rob, how can they judge him only for one franchise movie!!!! Rob is not even close to brad pitt, goerge cloone or anybodyelse, he just start his career.

Regardless of what this article says (and it is one person's opinion), Rob is the HOTTEST talent out their today. Havery Weinstein wants him in one of his movies. Zac is probably the closest in terms of popularity and fan frenzy and Shia and James Franco have been around a little longer and have had some exposure. I don't think Shia or James get nearly a tenth of the attention that Rob and/or Zac gets from fans. Rob is making the right choices and he is HUGE on the strength of the Twilight Films alone. In my opinion, Brad Pitt has not mad a decent movie since Legends of the Falls, but he is still one of the most popular and highest paid actors in Hollywood.

Don't let these things get you down, it is all rubbish!

Well, I can't say I disagree with the article as it stands today. Business is business. Rob still needs to prove himself as an actor or as an "action hero" (sadly). The powers that be are waiting to see if he's a one hit wonder or not. No mercy in Hollywood.

True, well after all he got really famous just after one film. No surprise some people think he was just a good-looking guy. He's still young, still learning and we all know that he didn't go to any acting school. Twilight was just the beginning, made the world know about Robert Pattinson, and now it's he's turn to prove that there's something more to him that just the pretty face. So I think it's good that he accepts new parts, new challenges and doesn't stick only to Twilight.

So this is why I am really looking forward to "Remember me". I'm sure he'll do his best and prove that acting is his calling :D

Don't get upset by those kind of aticles...it isn't worth it. I was like that before but now I see there's just no reason for that. You can see, first it is obvious the autor is making a stir with negativitiy which will asure hits.

She is comparing him in that Ulmer score list with actors like Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Johny Depp....it utter nonsense. In any case it doesn't have any sense for Rob to have that kind of influence now when he's just beginning..
Also comparing him with Shia LaBeouf, James Franco and Zack Efron even is unfair too. All of them are in the spotlight much longer than Rob.
LaBeouf scores a 226, Zack Efron 206 and James Franco's 183 and Pattinson scores 174!
Getting 174 is a BIG success in my opinion because he was unknown just a little more than a year ago!
They are COMPLETELY ignoring that Rob is not an American, he was building his career in his OWN country before all this and he made just ONE American movie where he was the male lead! He just started, so saying that he should be close to Shia and Franco after just ONE year in the spotlight is just idiotic.

I hate when the media gets ahold of an actor like Rob who is fresh on the scene and puts all this pressure on him. I for one like the movie choices that he has made thus far. I hope he never goes for the superhero movie or the big budget action flick. That is not him. Although, I could see him playing James Bond some day or being a British bad guy in an action movie. But the media really needs to back off.

How can anyone compare him to these actors that have been out for a while. It is not a fair comparison. Give him a chance to prove himself.

The title of the blog says it all. Such a snipey blogger. Yes, it's obvious Rob is a very new hot actor. Other stars with a longer track record are more bankable. He's just beginning. It looks like the big producers are lining up, trying to bring him up somewhat slowly, pair him with more experienced, bankable actors--Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper and Hugh Jackman' it's a tried and true process I've seen them use on many young up and coming actors.

Oddly enough, I could see James Franco playing the role of Aidan. Will be interesting to see who they choose. The new script does seem a lot different from the original, but I suspect the angst will remain the same.

I personally can not wait to see him in this movie... Love him in the Twilight Saga, but am enjoying seeing him in these other flicks and really branching out... he's a smart man that's for sure... not waiting till the Saga is all done and finding it harder to do this. It's gonna be a great film.

hmm from the looks of it,the short description of the general movie plot in Variety makes it seem that the major part of the script has been rewritten,it's a really significant part of the plotline,if it's changed then the whole movie might differ from what I've read in the script. The ending was unexpected,'the Sixth Sense' type of ending,I hope they didn't change it completely.

Emilie de Ravin - i think she's ok in lost... i can't stand her accent.... and i can't really imagine her and rob having any chemistry tho?? i guess i can ONLY envision rob with kristen... :)

I just don't see her in this role, but they must have their reasons for feeling she should play opposite Rob. Wonder if her role in the movie was shortened and they could not get another more famous young actress to do the role?

i would be SO happy if rob and kristen starts dating in real life! they are so meant to be together!

It's about time, finally some news!

I'm so excited! I mean with that cast and such a great story, it looks like the movie is gonna be fantastic. And it's Rob in it! I'm so glad I'll get to see him in some other role, playing a more-of-this-world character. He keeps emphasising how he likes the script, and how close he feels to the character. I think he will do a great job and prove that he is a great actor already!!

Looks like it's either Variety not knowing what this movie is about or the screenwriter completely changed some parts of the story. that is not what happens to Tyler's brother in the original script.

I was a HUGE fan of Roswell, but I don't like Emilie de Ravin she played (Tess) on Roswell she was a total COW in that programme. Think they made a wrong choice for the female part they could of chosen someone WAY better than her!!! But am sure the movie will do great anyways cause Rob is in it!!!

I am not happy with the choice for the female lead. Unless she tested really great with Rob, I just don't see her in this role. I was hoping for Evan Rachel Wood or someone like her who is really good and has a lot of passion. Don't mean to offend anyone who is a fan, but after reading the script and description, she does not seem right for the role. Hopefully she will surprise me.

Big Pierce Brosnan fan, guess he will play Tyler (Roberts character) dad. Chris Cooper is a great actor and I can totally see him playing the role of the girls father. Lena Olin is a very good actress too.

I guess Rob will have a week or so before they actually start filming.

Don't see Rob falling in love with the girl, lol. I think Rob and Kristen have this unique connection and he has had plenty of opportunities to be with many women and has not done so. If he an Kristen are involved or trying to make this work, it is probably because he has had feelingd for her a long time.

I laugh at sites that say Kirsten has been with MA for 5 years, I though it was 2 or 3. Even so, she is only nineteen, which means they have been dating since they were 14. this is so young and how many relationships starting out that young really last. People mature you have new life experiences and feelings change. I give Kristen a lot of credit for stying with MA so long. Not because he is not worthy, but she is a young pretty girl in Hollywood yet she is a girl that takes commitment seriously. I am sure IF she is not longer with MA and she is involved with RP, it was not an easy or hasty decision. I wonder if she has been fighting it for a while (I know I would have given in a long time ago,lol). Either way, Kris and Rob are great friends and I think they know what they are doing.

I just have an unfair dislike of Emilie because of Roswell. ;-)

I don't know is it real that Kristen and Robert are really in the relationship. If it's real, then I'm happy for them. As a fan, we all love to see them happy together, and sometimes worry whether Robert will hook up with new gal in every other romantic film because Robert is really a romantic, so it's kind of worried for our fan.

But if Rob is really kind of guy, hooking up with every single leading lady in his film, then I don't think Kristen really bothers to be sad. Look, Kristen is a tough, smart and rational cookie. If she decides to be with s/o, it must be something deeper than just a fling. I don't think Kristen really wants to be with Robert, if he turns out to be that person.

I suppose Emilie de Ravin is playing Ally. I like that choice, I never liked idea of Emilly Rossum. Emilile has that something that Emilly doesn't.
I find it interesting that an British and Australian are playing New Yorkers lol, but now when I think about it seeing that Pierce Brosnan is cast too, he is probably Rob's dad so maybe he'll play a British person living in New York....oh man speculation, speculation haha. But if that means that Rob will keep his British accent that is just going to be awesome, but we'll see.

Rob said that the script was rewritten, and that they added some oh his traits to his character. The way he speaks, mannerisms....even they way he acts.
I can totally see what their roles are. I totally imagined them like that.
And I love Lena Olin, that woman is a fox. I've seen her in "Chocolate" last time, not including "Alias".

i can't judge actors even if i have no clue who they are. and yes i do not know who emilie is. but i am not worrying about it. with a cast with pierce, chris, and robert that is a great cast though.

Seriously the script is really good and a perfect part for Robert. It is a drama and there are a lot of twists and turns. His role is very deep and this will give Rob a chance to really prove how versatile he is. If you are a Rob fan, I thing you will enjoy him in this role.

Yes, the film is set in NYC and they will be filming a lot in downtown Manhattan and from the script, there are also scenes in Central Park.

It's great that he's doing more and more interesting stuff and he's not stucking himself in movies like Twilight. The more variety, the more he can show his talent as an actor....

Sarah I was a non believer in the Robsten rumors but not anymore, and I think Kris and Rob think there are more important things in the world right now than their relationship, I think admiting they are dating is a double edge sword, they don't want to shove it in our faces, like other celeb couples do, Kris' relationship MA was also private so why should she change her ways?
