wow everyone needs to calm down... it's one freaking line! yes, it was cheesy, but it's not the entire movie! and not trying to preach here, but we should be thankful that she even made this movie or we would not have kristen or rob or even Chris!

It's one of my all time favourite movies and she did an amazing job along with the Actors. I'd like to see any one complaining do a better job! I liked the Spider Monkey line it made me smile.

I so agree with you! I also would have demanded my money back if I had not read the book first. I have people ask me all the time what I thought of the movie and all I can say is, "it served its purpose." Normally movies from books are never as good as the book, (though still good), but this was just TERRIBLE. They better not mess up Breaking Dawn, I will be sooooo MAD!

Totally agree. And God forbid CH for BD!!! I don't even wanna think what "creative" lines she could come up with! As I wrote in my post above, all of those lines were lame, we can't blame Rob for choosing that one! Oh yeah MR is gonna be in trouble if she messes up with NM script.

I love Twilight too, and I like the movie, even though it could've been better. But there are some scenes I just can't stand. And this one is definitely towards the top of them.

I really just don't understand why they don't make the movies LONGER if it's such an issue to stay true to the content of the book. For example, American Gangster was a 3 HOUR MOVIE but people still watched it. Sex in the city for crying out loud was over a 3 hour movie, and people still sold out theaters.

Of all the movies in the world WORTH making LONGER to get all the wanted/needed/accurate content in them............. could they not do it with Twilight Saga????? I mean come ON... the fans, the budget, and the viewership are impossibly high enough to make this happen.

It scares me cuz Breaking Dawn book is twice the size of any of the other 3, has the most detail and action in it, and if they cant make TWILIGHT true to the book, wtf are they gonna do with Eclipse/Breaking Dawn???

I just finished watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. That movie was 2:46 minutes!!! I nearly gagged. BD has got to be longer... and it will have more action than Button, or Sex/City.

Wow! I am so surprised that there are so many negative comments about Hardwick and that line!!

I liked it, it was a good way of showing how Edward had regained a sense of fun by spending time with Bella, and a sense of being young again... I liked it.

As for Hardwick, I liked her direction, I loved the colour, the casting, the way she allowed the actors to push boundaries and improv. I think the movie will date well as she didn't show any trends or fashions...

I thought her treatment of the story was well done, it will never be the book, but what movie can be?

Well as for me, it isn't just that it wasnt like the book its that she changed things and made them total opposite of that which was in the book and made changes to things that shouldnt have been for scenes that need to be in future books...like the way Jacob was supposed to tell her about Edward and his family instead of her figuring it out....because of the treaty and such ya know???

But those are script issues - and that is Melissa Rosenburgs decision! I presume time is a problem when making a movie from a book, and if they kept everything as it should be the movie would be 14 hours long!!!

I really had no problem with the adaptation, but maybe its because I know how hard it can be to capture everything needed to complete the story in an hour and a half!!!

Oh, and I saw the movie before the books and I was actually able to catch on to it. Maybe I was just lucky, because I know others who were still lost lol. The movie is what convinced me to read them:D

Yeah, it took me a few watches to get used to the whole 'taking Bella tree-climbing' scenes. The cinematography is breathtaking but... it's so dangerous. Edward wouldn't take Bella tree climbing. She'd die.

I am a little upset of Stephenie for approving to this so casually...I mean, it is HER book right? All Catherine had to do was make a movie by following the plot she created. Was that so hard? And the original bedroom scene was really sexy. I really expected that one:(.

I expected a lot more too - On the record, loved the movie, truly... but she completely ruined the meadow scene too.... sigh....

I know, it's done, nothing we can do about it now.... this is why I re-read the book.... so I can watch the movie in my head. ;)

I did the same. The movie in my head is a lot better than some scenes form the one she directed. I really believe New Moon will be a lot better 'cause Chris has an eye for beaty.

Me too...cause if you're not very carefull it's possible to miss the part where Zafrina is trying to teach Bella to lower her inner shield(me for example:)), the first time I read it)...So at the end you're like "What is she trying to do?" and then "How did she do it?"). And I can't wait to see that part on screen: the surprize, edward's face, the memories, the happiness...the last line: "And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever."..

I'm sure they wont object:))

Lets just hope Summit confirms that they ARE making Breaking Dawn....I won't believe it til I hear it from them (and will be stewing in madness until they do)

I freaking loved the end of that book when she let him read her thoughts.... I felt like it ended where it all started for them with her saying "don't move" just like he did to her when he first kissed her....
