I actually don't know. I'm very heavy on anything dance.
Theatre-wise I love Shakespeare .. never get tired of seeing it.. umm. there's this great little theatre called the New Vic that I like to see stuff at.. they do a lot of shows that are very very physical.. They had a circus-trained group of .. maybe Irish trained 5 kids that would tell about themselves through slideshow, words flashed on screen, and a microphone that would swing, and then they would do these absolutely incredible things like slide head down on a pole at incredible speed using no hands and stop with their nose right on floor before smashing thier faces in.. All to some kickin' music. It was fantastic.

Working in theatre kind of ruins the experience a bit for me though b/c I'm always wondering how things work and which actor is most likely to be hellish to work with backstage (I always found the "bad guys' were the most easygoing in real life) ,etc. I have a hard time looking at a show just to look at a show anymore.

Heavens no...I wish I had that kind of time. I'm a OAP Contest director.
It's a LOT more stressful than normal directing, which I miss, but its worth
all the work. I miss acting though.

You know...I find the same thing to be true. It was usually the leads that
were buttheads (musical male leads being the ABSOLUTE worst!).

OAP??? I got along with everybody. (They were completely thrown off by my hyperactive insanity, therefore they didn't mess around with me much..and then they learned to like me once the fear was gone. LOL ) however, some required much more uh.. maintenance than ohters.. I loved live theatre though for all its crazy stuff.

My fave was this one night we were doing a rock musical in a cabaret-type setting so ppl are pretty close to the stage and the next singer up with a major vocal solo that lasted through 3 moving scenes.. clip on microphone attached to her bra went dead b/c s/o forgot to change the batteries, so the lighting guy had to make the lights really really dim, while one of the sound techs crawled onstage, flipped on his back, had to go up her dress while dialogue is going on, change batteries, and get off.

That was the best!!

One-Act-Play (its where you take a 3-5Act piece, cut it, and cram it into
40mins)

I think my fav. would have to be during a production of West Side Story.
The guy who played Riff had horrible stomach flu on opening night. During
"Officer Krupke" he literally turned green, changed the lines of the song to
"My mommy beat my daddy, my daddy was a prick, Gee, Officer Krupke, that's
why I'm so sick", and ran off stage to puke. The rest of the Jets just
glared at each other with panic. They had to finish the song with out him,
making up all of his solo's as they went along.

That or the time I knocked half the set down during R&GAD.
I have to confess...I'm so glad your a theatre nut too!

ROTFL... gotta give credit to those who can smoothly b.s. (excuse the expression, I couldn't find a less nasty one)their way through minutes of them. That's hilarious.

My LEAST favorite times were when you're watching from offstage and someone says lines out of order BIG TIME and then they or someone else covers for it and script gets back on track and suddenly, they're back at the point where they weren't supposed to have been before and the lines have already been said and for a really REALLY brief moment, you can just see everybody's eyes freeze in dead panic in this "Oh, God. We've been here already. What are we gonna do.?" expression, and then someone takes over and gets out of it. I always started sweating at that point.

Ohh..how I hate those moments...My actors made a game of it during rehearsal
last year. During one of the rehearsals one of my leads kept dropping a
line and finally (after dropping the same line 50 times) the other lead
mocking bent over, pretended to pick something up, dusted it off, and handed
it (the line) back to him saying "you keep dropping this." I went from
hacked to cracking up in about 15 nano seconds...annnnd that's when it
became a game. Every time somebody dropped a line, everyone onstage would
drop to their hands and knees and look for the line. It was hilarious until
