Taylor Lautner Garry MarshallNew Moon star Taylor Lautner may have a new movie in the works if his meeting with writer/producer/director Garry Marshall–the talent behind Pretty Woman and Beaches–is any indication. The NY Post points out that Marshall has three likely films in the works–

Potential Film #1: “Valentine’s Day”  I’m assuming Taylor is in talks to play Anne’s mail room assistant boyfriend since she’s the most age-appropriate on-screen lovah.

Potential Film #2 — “Dear Eleanor”  Taylor could play one of the vaudeville performers, or any other assorted potential love interest for either of the ladies.

Potential Film #3 — “There Goes the Neighborhood” Taylor could play one of the creepy kids, whose smiley exterior masks a much more insidious agenda. The riskiest role of the three, but the gamble could pay off in a big way if it shows Hollywood he’s more than a pretty face.

    The main stars (Rob, Kris, Tay, the Cullens) will all be in BD regardless of timing. It's basically a career in a box for these kids, sort of like how Harry Potter is a career in a box for those kids. All the main actors will be in the Twilight sequels.

    What I'm really worried about is the secondary actors (Volturi, wolfpack).... they already re-casted Sam, for instance. Sure, the new Sam may do an incredible job. But the point is that re-casting in general looks sloppy and unprofessional. So I DO hope they get Michael Sheen and Dakota and all the Volturi and wolfpack members for Eclipse and BD. Otherwise the movies won't look as good as they could.

    Taylor working along side Gary Marshell is a smart move. Once New Moon hit;s he'll be the talk of the town. Move over Robert Pattinson their's a NEW HUNK in town and is going to take New Moon by storm.

    If he was chosen for either of the other 2, i'm sort of ok with it, like I've said before I'd go watch him reading the phone book.

    But, I want him to be more in the serious drama or action genre.

    I can't wait to see him do other projects aside from Twilight! So exciting to finally see what's next for him.

    Taylor i suggest role 3, there goes the neighbourhood, it sounds the most interesting and by far the most challenging, you don't want to end up just doing fluff, look at dakota that kids done just about everything and has been working non stop due to the fact of her diverse roles, the risky roles are usually the ones that impress most, go for it!! :D

    Taylor should jump at the chance to do different roles. Like Rob, Taylor doesn't want to find himself stuck in particular genre of movie. He should spread his wings and show his talent!

    Rob's weird role in "How to Be" was really awesome and showed he's actually a great actor. I really want to see Taylor do the same thing, taking a risky/unique role, rather than doing the love interest hottie thing.

    But if he does play someone's love interest, I want to see him get the girl!!! He gets the shaft from Bella in Twilight and it makes me so sad!!

  • Yeah, she is freakin crazy. Anyone who has seen Rob in any of his films can say that he is a great, developing actor. And he's only 23!

    I think Blue52 is looking for a fight or just trying to stir up some controversy. She probably won't stick around for long. And if she does, we'll take care of her, lol!

  • While I would love to drool over his gorgeous body all day (and I already sort of do since he's the wallpaper on my phone... ugh! delicious!), I think taking your shirt off in every movie would kind of come off as conceited. Like... "Hey, look at my body, I know I'm hot".

    I'd like to see him get a difficult, more serious role after Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse to show he can do anything :)

    As for making Breaking Dawn, has anyone actually really thought that through? The birth scene alone would make it a hammer horror and I think it would be a serious mistake.
    I hope none of them get involved, it would ruin them. Evil Dead 2 ring a bell?

    I'm re-reading it now - and I keep thinking about that - especially as Stephenie Meyer says it has to be PG-13 -

    But even in the book she doesn't describe TOO much of the gore - during the worst of the birth, Jake is looking at Bella's face and just hears it - they could do something similar - like how in the first one you don't really see the broken leg, or James being torn apart.

    Good point! If they shoot a lot from Bella/Jakes view (which is what BD is about anyway.) A lot of the gore won't have to be shown, just implied.

    Remember vamp girls, you will get to see the honeymoon scene...

    Remember wolf girls, you will finally get to see Jacob happy...

    Summit, get on the ball. Breaking Dawn has to be done and official soon!!

    (P.S. I think they should use Chris Weitz again for BD, since he is a CGI specialist, and much CGI will be needed for Reneesme!)

    if he keeps doing movies that are focused on teenagers, then nothing's going to happen to his career. he's going to be known as "sharkboy", "jacob black", "that huge wolf", "the twilight dude", or some other cheesy teenybopper name.
    that would be his reputation for the rest of his career if he doesn't pick up a role that might change his image.
