I loved the trailer, loved everything about it and jake looks great, but i think swap82 is right about how the wolf should be, they should be able to stand up because people confused them withs bears, besides what can do a little wolf to a vampire??? c'mon vampires are too fasts and strongs to fear a little wolf, the wolfs are supposed to be giants, scary, the wolf that they showed us is OK but i just hope that for the movie they fix the special effect and the wolfs will be bigger than we've already saw...

When I saw the trailer I was just alittle worried about how close the movie would line up with the book, but now that I have seen the Taylor interview I feel alot better about it. One thing I did feel and I am not fully sure why I feel this way, but when I saw Jake as a wolf all I wanted to do was run up to the very cute fluffy furball and give him a big hug.

Yes, but you have to remember that the humans that saw the "bear" it was not Jacob they saw, it was Sam. He was watching the area cause Victoria was trying to get through.... So Jacob was not as big as Sam at first but he grows bigger as the story continues.

I think that they will leave it at the graduation ulitmatum, Because that is the first one that they discuss, and after the vote, they decide that after graduation someone will change her. Only after that do they talk about it being Edward/the marriage ultimatum. Obviously they can't go forward without it, but I don't think we'll see it in NM.

I have a question. I'm confused about the scenes. I know that the transformation scene is with Paul, but why is she screaming at him to run? Doesn't she know at this point (at least in the book) that he is a wolf? So why would she be telling Jacob to run from Paul? And why was Paul after Bella? I think I need to go re-read this chapter. in the script bella doesn't find out that they're werewolves until paul phases. she doesn't guess it in her room with jacob. i guess the did it for shock value. for the audience, or at least those who haven't read the book, they'll be like, "Whoa wtf, they're wolves!" instead of just hearing about it.

I think it's mainly because Bella is always worried about those she cares about getting hurt even though they are much stronger than she is, physically that is, so even though she may know Jacob can change too she still didn't want him to fight with Paul for fear he may get hurt in the scuffle.

im still worried about this whole wolf thing. i still don't buy it cuz it looks more like a dog. chris weitz need to research more on what a werewolf should look like. werewolves are hairy all over, with a wolf-like face, but they have limbs as long as humans, in fact they could stand up like humans.

the book said that the werewolves are so big, even humans thought they're bears, meaning they should be able to stand up.

It is made clear in the books that these are not "real" werewolves, they are shapeshifters. As described in the book, they are horse-sized wolves. They look just like wolves, each their own color. With that in mind, the trailer is not far off.

I agree that the book described/ called them as shapeshifters but that's not until Breaking Dawn and it was Edward who said it. All along Jacob called himself a werewolf.
Has anyone here seen Underworld Rise of the Lycans? The werewolves there look like horse-size wolves, and that's how I imagined Jacob and his pack while I was reading the book. They are big but looks less menacing. The trailer showed a

He says that he thought the wolf looked amazing in the trailer, and that he thinks the part where he stands up without a shirt on is the last scene of the movie (where he goes to meet Bella and Edward and tell Edward that biting a human will break the treaty) AND that he thinks the part where he jumps into the air (fully clothed) and phases into a wolf mid-air is the part where he's about to fight Paul. He also said that he gets embarrassed seeing himself shirtless ;)

Seriously...the growls were awesome. And the little half-bark when Jacob is running is so vicious sounding, lol.

Funny, 'cause I haven't noticed the grass-thingy at all. It doesn't bother me at all, that the grass ain't green. I didn't even realize that it should be green! :D But now, I actually like that it isn't green, 'cause (like sixrgirl said) it really represents how Bella is feeling. :)
And I kind of imagined that the meadow would look dark and "sad", not like sunny and "glad".

to me BD has so much more to it then the rest of the saga. it seems to me that steph was much more relaxed while riting that one. It has alot on smaller details in it to me but i still love the others!!!!

BD is definitely the most epic in terms of plot. Less little moments like in NM and Eclipse, but in the grand scheme of things BD has the most density to it. It's going to look amazing on the big screen. Steph did fit A LOT of plot into that one book though. I wonder if they'll make it 2 movies like they're doing with the 7th HP, or if they'll make it one very action-packed movie :)

Personally in order for the movie to be any good it will have to be two movies. there are alot of details in BD and in my opinion, for the movie to make sence it will be better to make it two parts. i just hope they have a good director for the rest of the movies.

He mentioned in another interview that his most intense scene to film was the one where he "breaks up" with Bella (tells her he can't be around her anymore, before she realizes he's a wolf). So I know they kept that in there. And then I'm guessing they'll show him sneak into her room and tell her to "think really hard" and then she'll figure it out, etc etc etc.

BD is supposed to come out in 2011. They're going to be filming early/mid 2010, That's the latest "news" anyway.

yeah i was just going to say that it will be coming out in late 2011. kristen and ashley have said before in an interview that they are all going to be coming out in november or the following year of the movie before it. they are doing it that way cuz the characters don't change in the book so they can't have the actors change in real life. i know that rob and kristen are pretty booked for the next year. but i think that the Twilight saga is already under contract with certain dates so those will come first. i am guessing at least.

Exactly. Not only do the vampires need to look the same (not age), but the stories overlap on each other. There is a 3 month gap between Twilight and New Moon (in the plot) but between NM and Eclipse and Eclipse and BD there is literally no gap so I don't think the filmmakers want to wait too long or people will get confused, like "where did we leave off? It's been so long...." Plus they're probably trying to cash in on the hype of Twilight ;)

yeah. kristen has said in interviews that they are doing them back to back to back cuz they don't want to keep the fans waiting. want us to keep wanting more so they give it to us sooner so we don't lose interest. fine by me. keep them coming each year till their done! hahah i love it.

It will probably just be at theaters. They reserve separate TV spots (commercials) for TV, and save the teaser and full-length trailers for theaters.

the commercial trailer won't come out until mid october probably maybe earlier. they usually show them 4 to 6 weeks before the movie comes out sometimes up to two months.

So .. what did you think of the trailer?!?!?! OME .. I had 2 girlfriends over last night for a "MTV Movie Awards" party .. i've never been SO into the awards! The show was done at midnight (my time) and they were still here at 12:30am as we were watching the video online THAT many times .. analyzing it, etc! hahaha

OMG! Loved the trailer. "i love rob" and I watched the awards show together (via phone) and we had a blast! I'm so proud of Twilight and whole cast....and of course, we just drooled over Rob the entire time. Good times!!! LOL

i figured it was several scenes any how but you are correct this vid is a must see even if they arent' tay/jacob fans it explains everything at least in the trailer. plus the trailer was more of one minute 47 second teaser trailer and plus usually the full trailers are about 2 to 4 minutes.

I think the interviews that are the funniest are when he talks about reading the script where it says Edward is the most handsome guy in the world, and then walking into the audition all embarrassed. I just love how Rob can be self-deprecating sometimes ;) That's when he's at his funniest.

Did you watch the DVD commentary? One of the funniest parts was when Catherine complimented him on looking hunky in one scene, and he made a comment about how he probably had bagel crumbs on his shirt from eating right before the scene :) So funny.

Maybe Bella had to have a change of clothes while she was running away from Laurent... so he waited for her to change into her "damsel in distress" outfit. This is a much more logical explanation.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I just want people watching the trailer to be correctly informed. It is Jacob that runs, leaps over Bella and transforms into a russett (reddish brown) colored wolf in mid-air during the scene when he's about to fight Paul. The wolf we saw in the trailer wasn't anyone else...it was Jacob. And they did get Jacob's colors right. I was just trying to clear that up.

And the shots of Bella running away from Laurent are different shots than when she's running and yelling at Jacob. Two different scenes put together for this trailer.

it's ok guys. just calm down. no one is trying to step on people's toes. taylor just said that it was him in the above clip transforming to fight paul. and he said that he thinks the scene where he stands up without a shirt on is the end scene in the woods. when the group of wolves are in the back of bella's yard while bella is there with edward, i am guessing.

Got it :) I guess some people got confused because Taylor described it as the scene where Jacob fights Paul. Just wanted people to know the wolf we saw was definitely Jacob :) I can't wait to see the whole wolfpack though.

I saw all the comments for last night on the trailer... glad to see its all straightened out and people can stop overreacting.

yeah seriously! editors have an uncanny way of making the trailer look one way when really the film won't be like that at all. i've pulled that trick a few times myself when making fanvids. i remember jumping to so many conclusions about how twilight was going to be just from the first mtv twilight tuesday clips of the ballet studio scene...and turns out, it was completely different.

Yeah... but Twilight skipped so many important scenes, too, there was a lot of room for controversy. I REALLY hope they include Jasper's empathetic power in this movie.

I think they'll show more of Jasper in Eclipse than in NM because it doesn't seem like the Cullens are getting too much airtime in NM (aside from Alice and Edward). But let's cross our fingers for Eclipse!!

In terms of them skipping scenes in Twilight, I think it has to do with the screenwriter but it also has to do with the director. If the director wants the movie to turn out a certain way, they have veto power over how each scene is approached. I can tell so far that Chris Weitz has very specific goals for NM, whereas Catherine Hardwicke was looser with the "rules." She gave the actors and crew lots of creative room. I think Chris really wants to stay close to the book to appease the fans. I have higher hopes for this movie than I did for Twilight.

I completely agree that they SHOULD do it. I just don't know if they will. In general, I wish they'd show more Cullen stuff. The "meet the family "scene in Twilight was one of my favorites.

Got it (that you were annoyed). I hope they do develop the relationship between Alice and Jasper in NM (where Alice recognizes that Jasper is worried about her going to Italy). That part of the book was beautiful. And then when they saw each other after returning from Italy. I just love their relationship. They were cute together in the Twi movie.

I laughed too, 'cause it was funny. They just keep dramatizing it to make his face WAY more dramatic than it needs to be. It gets annoying.

@ one25centpeice, I remember the first time I saw it in theaters, that was one of the times that the audience roared in laughter. His face was pretty funny :)

It was my second favorite. The baseball scene was my fave. All my friends keep making fun of Jasper's face when he hit the ball. :l

i know! that was a disappointment. in fact, in the movie when bella asks edward if any of the cullens have abilities, it sounds like he's about to mention jasper and forgot or got distracted. that COULD have been mentioned....

They probably cut it out. Meh. :[

The wolf in the trailer WAS russett colored. Russett is reddish brown. The wolf in the trailer is Jacob.

ok well all i'm saying is that judging from the comments below, the guy transforming is paul. of course i don't know this for certain. in the trailer 1 minute jake has his shirt off, but whoever it is running has put it back on which doesn't really make sense. and i imagined jake in wolf form to be much more of a reddish brown than that. wasn't paul brown? because this wolf was how i imagined paul to be... oh well i guess that's just another excuse to watch the trailer again (for about the 50th time lol!)

As Taylor said in the above video, the first shot of Jacob without a shirt on is from a different scene than the transformation scene shown in the trailer. Ditto w/ the two shots of Bella in different clothes. When they make trailers, they take shots of different scenes and put them together. Trailers rarely show scenes in the correct order. Even Taylor confirmed in the above video that it was him as a wolf. It's not Paul. We haven't seen Paul as a wolf yet.

ok sorry i'm in the uk so i couldn't see the above video. i asked for an explanation and i was only given, 'he says that when he jumps and transforms it's actualy in the scene when paul tries to kill bella.' from that i guessed that the wolf was paul, but now i can see that it was jacob protecting bella. sorry for the confusion.
