I think it is that with the tattoos they wanted some sort of member symbol….in the book Jacob always calls Sam's group a gang and most gangs in real life have their gangs symbol tattooed on them so that could be the reason behind the tat, Jacob joined the gang lol. but idk i could be completely wrong lol.

The fact of the matter is.... he's Jacob. And he'll stay Jacob. Do you know how many movies have people shorter than what their character is? Older/younger than their character is? Nothing is going to be exact. Taylor was dedicated and he bulked up to prove it. Not to mention he's going to CONTINUE to bulk up for Eclipse. He's obviously very passionate about the role. Would you rather have someone who cares and is shorter than his character, or as tall as his character is and not care so damn much?

It's not all lust that has people up in arms over Taylor. He's 17 and he worked hard for this.

Oh, and he definitely has a young-looking face.. which is good.. but with the transformation and the new volatile anger he has to express, that can make someone look a hell of a lot meaner. It's about the acting - not just how he looks.

I think whoever plays Seth needs to look even a little younger than Taylor does.
